Bethesda games lock you into only controller or mouse/keyboard. I believe someone made a mod for both Skyrim and FO4 to allow both.

I mean I guess you could shave a bit off the bottom... But a thing I found that matters a lot for wrist rest comfort is how far in on the desk my keyboard is. I have a tall case, and after I loved my keyboard closer to the edge I use the wrist rest more and it becomes more comfortable
