Cracker and doffy go to fight Kizaru. They have armament haki so they have the potential to kill kizaru despite him being a logia. But they cant actually win against kizaru cuz hes too strong. So they say yea we need the help of Kaido with his (in this case new dragon fruit) to kill kizaru.

BBP attacked Drum Island for a reason that we still arent aware of, and Xebec has been seeking a 2nd DF that could have supposedly helped him beat Imu. I think these two things are connected.

Add to that the verse from Harley that mentions the taming of demons by the forest god, the weird line from Luffy earlier in the arc where he specifically recognized Chopper for unknown reasons when he was falling down to the underworld, its got a very firm foundation to stand on.

There's also the long-standing idea that its Chopper's awakening that will turn him into the Panacea, since the Drum Island arc hinted that its supposed to resemble a mushroom just like Chopper's DF

Yea, in general I think this arc is meant to powerup the crew considerably enough for the final arcs as well, or atleast prepare them for it. Chopper might not awaken just yet but I imagine these are atleast the signs of it
