Momo and Yamato both ate their fruits unintentionally due to hunger while trapped on an unfamiliar island.

But there’s also Yamato adopting Oden’s identity while Momonosuke ends up being a dragon just like Kaido.

Yamato inherited Kaido’s bodily might, but has a heart unlike his father. Momonosuke didn’t inherit any of Oden’s might, but he inherited his heart, courage, and love for Wano.

Kaido forced Oden into a situation where Oden ended up dying because he tried to shoulder everything on his own. Yamato encourages Momonosuke to trust in the allies he recruited and talks him out of sacrificing himself just to save Wano.

When Kaido is beating on Yamato, he projects his own experiences onto Yamato. Kaido was a child soldier, so he’s made Yamato fight since he was a child. Kaido was imprisoned and tortured, so he imprisoned Yamato and tortured him. Kaido was betrayed due to people fearing his strength, he didn’t trust people; Kaido isolates Yamato and attempts to pit the samurai against him.
