I have mixed feelings on Haki, particularly Armament. I really think Oda was going to make logia intangibility and elemental supremacy more of a thing but decided against it when fleshing out some of the details with the Haki system. For simplicity's sake.

Observation and Conqueror's have pre-TS feats they can overlay but Armament's application makes for some inconsistencies. Like, Ace says he stalemates Smoker but Ace has all three types of Haki and, at that point, stalemates Yamato. Smoker should be no issue.

This is an even better way to describe him vs nonthreatening I think. He just feels very beatable. Doesn't feel like a juggernaut, in the way that Kaido and Big Mom did where they're portrayed as being virtually impervious to damage all the way up until Oda had to make it so they could be hurt lol. And even compared to the likes of Roger, Whitebeard and Shanks, who aren't portrayed with that same durability, he just doesn't feel as... staunch? Best way I can describe them atm lol
