Eps 227-312 scuffed summary ||Straw Hats ends up in Water 7 looking for shipwrights to fix Merry due to all the damage it's sustained in their journey so far. They're able to turn the gold they got from Sky Island into 300 mil and ask the shipwrights from the Galley-La company to check Merry out to see what can be done. Group gets separated, Usopp gets beaten up and mugged of 200 of that 300 mil by the Franky family. He later goes by himself to their hideout to try to get it back only to get beaten up again as their boss Franky takes the money and leaves on a train to buy something. Luffy, Zoro, Chopper, and Sanji find Usopp knocked out, treat him, then beat up the Franky family and destroy their hideout. Franky later comes back and fights Luffy but it gets broken up. Robin later tells Sanji and Chopper she's leaving the crew and not to follow her. Galley-La tells the SHs that there is nothing they can do for Merry as it's damaged beyond repair and to get a new ship. Usopp doesn't take kindly to this news and announces he's also leaving the crew and challenges Luffy to a fight for ownership of Merry, they later fight and Luffy easily wins as expected but they leave and give him Merry anyways. Galley-La's HQ gets attacked just before Water 7 gets hit by the Aqua Laguna which is a giant wave that hits the city every year. Turns out 3 members of Galley-La and a local bartender were all secretly members of a group of assassins that work for the world government called CP9. Reason they infiltrated and attacked is because Iceberg (the mayor of W7 and head of Galley-La) was a student of the ship wright who made the ship for the Roger pirates alongside Franky and they think Iceberg has the blueprints for the god weapon Pluton that Croc was looking for in Alabasta. SHs try to help but get beaten easy. Robin helps fake Iceberg's death and reveals she left the crew because she wants to protect the SHs as she doesn't fully trust them but doesn't want them hurt because of her.||

Eps 227-312 scuffed summary || Robin leaves with CP9 while they go after Franky, Franky and Usopp make amends and become friends over how much Usopp loves the Merry. CP9 kidnaps Franky. Usopp (under the guise of Sogeking) and Sanji sneak onto CP9's train as it leaves while Nami and Chopper help free Luffy and Zoro. SHs team up with Galley-La, the Franky family, and Kokoro (train conductor who was a surrogate mom to Iceberg and Franky when they were kids) as well as Kokoro's grand daughter and pet rabbit and take another train to follow just as Aqua Laguna hits. Eventually both trains reach Enies Lobby. SHs wreak havoc and we get Robin's backstory, which is how she became a wanted criminal because she taught herself how to read Poneglyphs as a kid and escaped the Buster Call which destroyed her home island. After seeing that the SHs genuinely care about her she asks them to save her which they agree to while Franky reveals he had the blue prints for Pluton and then destroys them. Luffy and Sanji reveal new power ups they thought up in the Gears and Diable Jambe respectively, and Chopper reveals he turns into a giant monster if he takes too many Rumble Balls. SHs and Franky take out CP9 while Spandam (the boss of CP9) accidentally activates a Buster Call which targets Enies Lobby. After saving both Robin and Franky the SHs try to escape while EL is being destroyed, Zoro loses one of his swords. The Merry which had gained a spirit because of the love the SHs had for it arrived at the 11th hour to save them. SHs and friends escape as EL is destroyed. Merry finally breaks down and they give her a burning funeral at sea. Franky reveals he used the money he stole buy the same kind of wood Roger's ship was made from and offers to make the SHs a new ship which they agree to. Everyone gets new bounties, the SHs get the Sunny, Usopp apologizes and rejoins the crew, and Franky joins the crew as their new ship wright.|| @topaz sierra

ch 150 ||It's crazy how quickly Oda's art style improved. I guess 150 chapters is about 3 years, but still, it's like night and day from here in the Drum Island arc back to the Syrup Village arc for example. His paneling got way better too! Going back and looking at the chapters in the 30s, the paneling is so stiff and blocky, and already it feels so much more dynamic. I love being able to see the progress of an artist's style.||
