That is the best thing i have ever read
Basado
Question, how important is it that i read warbreaker before WOR
It adds quite a bit to the experience but its not necessary
As much as i want to return to these characters as soon as possible, I’ll do it
I bought it a while ago
warbreaker was a good read as welll. no harm in reading it
Definitely gonna read all of mr sandersons le epic cosmere books one day
I was about to weep and cry, thank you for sparing me
And if any of them are even 1/4th as good as WOK….

👍
Well the endings are all like that kind of
Now back to lego star wars Until sleep time

Is this real or a joke
Look at the twitter name
Oh I get it now lol
Oh i lovedddd Lord of the Flies!
Yeah I’m not much of a literature person. I read it in high school as assigned reading
Kids are savage
Lmao it was brutal though
Put 8 kids together on an island they will kill each other with sticks
Oof star
All because I was in the middle of watching Iron Man 3
Hm
And someone went in my goddamn DMs and spoiled phase 3 shit
That’s cold
I really hate people
It was in gen for a moment but I muted before it got worse
And they stormed into my DMs
Yeah, you have to have open DMs for a staff position
Well, technically, helpers don't have to
But most of us do
Because mods aren't always online
General good practice I think
And there's a ton of us helpers who can do minor stuff
Helper role seems kinda chill
Break week luckily
Then all hell breaks loose for like a couple hours
Anywho, just wanted to mini-vent some WS fustrations in here before someone in gen decides to do it again
Back to movie
8 entitled kids*
LMAO
Book was more a critique of british education than human nature itself lol
The British fuckin sucked
If you wanna see a real case with a very different outcome look for the Acali Experiment
I'm saying this as an Indian who lived in the UK lol for his University education
I know about that yeah, fascinating stuff
Only one mad person and it was the one who wanted to see his theory of human savagery come true lmao
Tho the Scottish don't like calling themselves anything remotely British
Not really
Mine are closed for example
Lucky you
Better that they're open but even if people dm us we just redirect them to a mod
So it doesnt rly matter
Hm
Its also not as bad for helpers obv
Mine were open for school reasons for like 2 weeks and i probably got like 3 DMs total
inland empire today
Oh yeah.. he’s been banned for the next 10 ceremonies
They said they’d come out with their decision sometime in April
I really don't give a shit, nor do most sensible people
It's just a thing that is being dragged out to no end
I mean it’s no Kanye and Kim but it was interesting… i think now it’s over
I'm just here for the slap edits
Oh we love to see it
Uh oh
I don't remember if thor the dark world is the one I fell asleep to or the one I walked out of the theater
Probably
Only phase 2 film that's necessarily "bad" by comparison
Star if you stay interested the whole time without getting distracted gold Star
Gold me
Yes literally
I think ranking wise it was the second worst or THE worst Marvel movie
Along the likes of The Incredible Hulk?
The Incredible Hulk is cool I think
Yeah it was alright tbh
Yeah
I miss Ed Norton angry Hulk
Right I was about to say the same
Fuckin badass
But it's mixed with MCU and doesn't have like any callbacks
The dark world is probs my least face mcu movie, that or antman
It’s just the start of the Avengers timeline perse
Didn't like Ant Man?
But I'm not a big fan of the mcu in general so maybe don't take my opinion
Understandable
Fair enough
Is Ant Man and the Wasp better do you think
Same. It’s weird trying to still tailor every current show or film back to the Avengers type universe instead of making a new one
It feels weird
No
Antman and the Wasp is worse
Damn
The first Antman is charming
I like that movie
You'll enjoy it
If you haven't seen it
First Antman has enough jokes and action on both sides it’s enjoyable
Has the best Luis jokes
I haven't seen anything past Iron man 3
Exactly. Michael Peña is hilarious
Yeah, continue on, then
Iron man 3 is before gotg isn't it?
Yea I believe so
PTSD iron man
PTSD Man
Ye
I recently rewatched iron man 3 and I enjoyed it alot more than I originally did
Yeah basically dealing with Iron Man's debilitating anxiety and mental health conditions
After The Avengers
Yeah all the Iron Man films are pretty good, but nothing tops 1 when it comes to Iron Man films
Yeah
Correct
Honestly, Iron Man 1 had a very good balance of tone
The same goes for Captain America. Idk why but I enjoyed the first more than Civil War and that film was the catalyst for what happened after
Iron man 3 ||I didn't enjoy the mandarin twist as a teen but I thinks it's funny as fuck now lol, also enjoyed the part where Tony stark is without his suit and has to do stuff without it||
Which the repeated jokes in the recent films seem like a huge contrast
Every single moment has to be accentuated by a fucking joke in the new movies
The joss whedon effect
Post Iron Man 3 ||about The Mandarin in prison in an interview about him being a king in the prison||
Same with my dad. He’s not about the post endgame films but really liked Shang Chi
I remember Blob was excited for it
Yeah I didn't watch either of the films between iw and endgame lol

Yea. Didn’t waste my time watching it
Watched it in the theatres because of the Endgame hype
I could’ve got more out of knitting than watching em
I missed capt Marvel in theatres and regretted it so much until I watched it 🤣 🤣
I skipped half the mcu movies
especially the "new" heroes
moon knight is actually the only new hero I actually enjoyed
I'm even sick of the og tbh
seated for inland empire
wanda and dr strange is hype
There better not be any jokes when I watch the Batman
Love Moon Knight but so far Wandavision is still my favorite MCU show
The riddler is kiiiinda lame dude

stay mad
of course there are, not every single scene
a lot of the humour in The Batman is sort of gallows humour too lol
doesn't clash with the tone but remains very funny
Wtf
I was watching a dead meat episode about the Halloween 2018 reboot
And there is a kid from my highschool who is in it
wonder how much he's getting paid for these

Samurai Jack episode 2 || I just love Jack's confusion in everything. It's hilarious.||
Genial, bumbling Monsieur Hulot loves his top-floor apartment in a grimy corner of the city, and cannot fathom why his sister's family has moved to the suburbs. Their house is an ultra-modern nightmare, which Hulot only visits for the sake of stealing away his rambunctious young nephew. Hulot's sister, however, wants to win him over to her new w...

Google what are popular directors
lmao
Mon Oncle quickly became an international success, and won that year's Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, a Special Prize at Cannes, as well as the New York Film Critics Award. On receiving his Oscar, Tati was offered any treat that the Academy could bestow on him. To their surprise, Tati simply requested the opportunity to visit Stan Laurel, Mack Sennett, and Buster Keaton. Keaton reportedly said that Tati's work with sound had carried on the true tradition of silent cinema.
As guest artistic director at AFI Fest 2010, David Lynch selected Tati's Mon Oncle, alongside Hour of the Wolf (Ingmar Bergman, 1968), Lolita (Stanley Kubrick, 1962), Rear Window (Alfred Hitchcock, 1954) and Sunset Boulevard (Billy Wilder, 1950) to be screened in his sidebar program, explaining: "I picked these particular films because they are the ones that have inspired me most. I think each is a masterpiece."
Of Tati, Lynch would add, in a conversation with Jonathan Rosenbaum, "You know, I feel like in a way he's a kindred soul ... That guy is so creative, it's unbelievable. I think he's one of the all-time greats."
lmfao

you had posted what I wanted to say in a later post, I just didnt take the time to read it all lol
You can turn the ping off when you reply btw
like this right?
Yeah
I know a lot of people don’t like the Harry Potter fantastic beasts movies but I really do enjoy them. Just finished rewatching the first movie in anticipation for the upcoming movie. I love Newt and he’s awesome
I enjoyed them too
All I'll say is I wanna watch the new movie.. without having to try and rewatch the other ones
I really like second one
cause I couldn't get through them whats so ever
I think JK raised the bar too high for herself to ever reach, either that or the fans did because of their hype/expectations
Fantastic Beasts were fine though
I can't be bothered to watch them but I'll try them one day
I'd like to see Johnny Depps role
I’m excited for the new one
Wasn’t too big on crimes of Grindelwald but it was fine, first one was really good
yea the new one looks really good
skipping it anyway
Gonna watch it eventually when it comes out in digital
actually i shouldnt have looked this up
i was talkin bout amy with a friend and i mentioned i liked her design from sonic x so i look it up to post
man
did you guys see the BCS news

word I might go next weekend
Down horrendous in terms of funds so if it gets better it’ll be next few days
Finished legion today overall it was an pretty decent show though season 3 did felt a bit rushed
WOK ending || had some time to process everything that just happened, wow, shallan reveal, jasnah reveal, parshmen being voidbringers was such a surprise and i loved it, king reveal was such a great reveal and man that reveal at the end if dalinars vision
Happy kaladin and bridge four got a good life now, loved all of dalinar and kaladins interactions, god I’m excited to see what comes || finished it last night and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it all day
Gonna start warbreaker tomorrow

Vince said he is interested in a Kim spinoff too

Sanderson prologues

Love Sandersons work here, met him through Wheel of Time and been loving his dedication and writing. He does a great job on his characters. I have been very happy with him fully fleshing out female characters and giving them the same attention as male.

Yea he had a lecture about it
It's not something he didn't do maliciously, it's just an inherent thing in writing
When he mentioned that authors put the opposite gender as authority figures in fantasy subconsciously it made so much sense
My bad lmao
@pale tapir RRR is the new Indian mega blockbuster that westerners are liking a shit ton

It's fuckin great
I'm not ashamed to say this, it's a better theatrical experience than The Batman
So good
noted
It's a fictional tale of two separate Indian revolutionaries who operated during the Indian independence movement, posits a situation, what if they met and influenced each other
They conveniently operated at the same time
And in their recorded history have a gap that occurs at the same time with the same duration of time not recorded
So this movie asks, what if they met during this period
And became friends
Insanely well done emotional blockbuster with the best action I've seen choreographed in years
oh that sounds really interesting
its actually playing at my theater so I might go check that out
wordd fa sho.. I'll let you know what I think
Yeah for sure
I desperately want to go see Everything Everywhere All At Once
But there's no screenings nearby
Yeah I have to watch that too.. I wanted to see if I can watch it from home
Same same
its soo good
i hope you get to see it soon
@sinful vessel
any of u guys know where to watch Family Guy for free? its not available in Netflix on our country
aite thanks mate
bro its just dubbed anime -_-

looking forward to The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with pedro pascal and nic cage

lmk how that is cause it looks terrible but the reviews have been good
rewatched full metal jacket
loveee that movie
love the first half still
and the second half?
Think it holds up, but not as strong
My father's favourite movie lol
My mother hates it tho lmao
interesting
I can see it being divisive
Its mainly bc of the ||drill|| scene
||Where the general insults everyone|| full metal jacket

wgens the girst bcs episdoe
Can I watch Batman online yet?
probably not
gotta wait for it to come out on dvd first
unless you want a low quality video of someone recording with their phone
I actually liked that part
I haven't seen that movie in years || but it was interesting seeing how the general guy was "programmed" to be that way.. but when the fat guy started getting hostile you see how the general's really just doing his job, doesn't make him a shit person || metal jacks
I had some impression like that at the time... it was so long ago
watched disney's black hole. ||unironically, I thought it was a better, intriguing space sci-fi opera than the sequel star wars trilogy. cool and dark film. seeing a man get brutally murdered by a robot, and seeing the antagonist in hell was wicked.||
oh dang
that sounds interesting
no
Doctor Who, 10th era, and OP manga spoiler ||All of this drums thing, does it remind you of John Simm's Master? Plus it's also 4 knocks!||

LOL

Your username tho....wait didn't she die at the reverie?
Peacemaker was awesome
Finished rewatching phantom menace, cool movie
Next is attack of the clones, I don’t have the fondest memories of it
Ok
LMAO
Warbreaker chap 3 || hehehehe sus ebeon hehe ||
Damn readcomicsonline just completely removed from tachiyomi
ReadComicOnline has been removed due to the site scrambling URLs, then changing the algorithm that scrambles the URL as soon as a fix is merged into the extension multiple times, making the extension too much of a burden to maintain. Yes, this removal is permanent.
from the tachiyomi server
Wack
😔
But not a surprise seeing how broken it was in the days leading up to its removal
Maybe their income from the site reduced a lot so they kept changing
Income from ads and such
I had seen complaints from many small sites in tachiyomi server too
Ye sites don't want tachiyomi ripping from them
read comics online is the other option
so far it has been cool to use
no problems
i heard the killing eve series finale was ass
how disappointing
Read comics online is cool but it's missing alot of stuff unfortunately
yeah
Local Source >

Yeah I'll end up using local source for the stuff rcos is missing
i stopped reading on mobile
Cunk I can recommend you getcomics
If you know how to uncompress CBZ and CBR files and such
Yeah I can do that I've used it before
It has a majority, if not more than readcomiconline
Some stuff you may need to find through single issues
Used it to get the batman and Robin omnibus I was reading that isn't on read comics online
Ah
isn't it maintained by the same people who do read comics online
They're partnered, I believe
i see
I only use readcomiconline for notifs
Cause idk how to keep track of updates

The Human Target #2
Readcomiconline doesn't have that annoying embedded ad on their pages as well
So epic

Secret Project #1 Draft 3.0 at 90%
Stormlight 5 Draft 1.0 still at 5%
@modern lichenget comics was showing three different ones for The Long Hallowen, 1996-7 or smth, 1998 and some other date.
are they just reprints or which one is the one from the pins
also liked YacReader's UI, other than the fact that it opens a seperate UI for the reading app and seperate for the library one
Reprints yes
ah alr
Read the newer version
thanks
That is a neat UI
Help
Tachi readcomiconline doesn't work anymore
Where do I get my comics now
The extension says "obsolete"
They removed it
It's been permanently disabled/removed
Use GetComics and find out how Local Source works
Something to do with the site owner scrambling URLs or something and it kept fucking with everything
So Tachi cut em off
But ig tachi might have been cutting into the sites' ad revenue
Reading on PC 😎
Yeah that's gonna be my thing now
Can't download and put stuff on my phone/tab anymore they all running outta space
Blade is great
thats such a good deal
epic
this is like that one thing
with the few nights
watched uncut gems today
no i believe its an adam sandler movie
That place was like Disneyland for me
(🏃 )
Yea you should run
Guys pray for Will, he’s going through a tough time
Do you guys think dollar bills absorb tears as well as tissue
Or do they not work as well
half of that was happening before he slapped him
no one liked fresh prince reboot, and micheal b jordan was already costaring in i am legend 2 i think
I’m not gonna pray for him lol
Yeah I did hear about the Michael b Jordan thing before the slap
But the fresh prince reboot isn’t as bad as people make it out to be…. People are just mad cause of all the woke culture

Now to rewatch the sonic movie to prepare for sonic 2
rebooting a comedy as a drama instantly makes it bad
clearly youve never seen the seinfeld dramatic reboot
you havent even seen seinfeld, if you did you would know its a drama
i have
i mean its a reimagining
as long as you can keep the two series separate in your head, you can hoenstly just focus on the quality of the drama like its its own thing
I mean sure but fresh prince without the comedy is just another teen drama
thats a very basic way to look at it
yeah that's basically what it is, a teen drama tbh
like one thing I like was || they created some drama behind why Will had to move to Bel Air, and using Uncle Phil's legal position to make it happen.. and it ties into his politcal career and what not || bel air
its a spoiler but just click on it since yall prob wont watch it anyway
I would've liked to see bad boys 4 though can I just say this my siblings
Just to see Martin Lawrence with work
Blacklist S1EP9 ||Liz kinda popping off rn||
A super underrated web series is Hellper! Anyone heard of it?
LMFAO
all because of a slap?
Blacklist S1Ep9 ||Damn rip to the Asian lady||
Will didn’t even smack Chris rock that hard
I see why his mom forced him out of philly
Chris rock > will smith
Chris rock 100% power ultra stomps will smith
Oh nice they cast the kid from the adam project as percy jackson
oh nicee
Saw that movie a few days ago, it was fun, the kid was really good in it
yeh i thought it was pretty good too.. the kid was good in it
Poor boy
@modern lichen gonna see RRR tonight

Liking most stuff is good

Saw hail cesar
Good movies
Been on a sorta coen binge latley started with buster scruggs
Nice, did you see their latest one William? Macbeth thing
Haven’t seen this series since i was quite the youngling

Aha interesting

Quite a lot of good movies out Or coming soon that I need to see
Everyone are raving about Michelle Yeohs latest movie
i wanna watch it so bad
Just read the first issue of Slumber, interesting stuff
👏
LETS GOOO
27th, yeah
Invested in the Comic Geeks app so I get notified when new comics and issues come out
Pain

This is only up to series that start in 1966 btw
I mean there's a ton of DC and Marvel stuff that last till the 1980s and 1990s in there
Yeah, is not only anime/manga
Yeah saw that. Lol
Is movies, TV shows, comics/magazines and sports too
sports? and magazines?
Time to begin watching chef

This’ll be an experience
damn.
Batman - The Knight
The Walking Dead (Deluxe)
The Human Target
Slumber
Neat
Interesting stuff
Slumber has a neat premise but falls semi-flat which is uh-oh since only 1 issue is out

You could read half of warbreaker in that time
I’ll make up for it tomorrow by reading twice as much
Chef 2014 || omg he said it he said the title of the movie
||
@burnt lake Moon Knight ||Be careful watching if you haven’t seen Phase 4. Idk if it’s true but I heard it won’t be connected to the MCU until the last episode, so it may contain big spoils
||

?
I was surprised all the SI issues are out there online lol
👀 damn
I peeked in chat during my Iron Man 3 watching and was asked what I was doing, and told em I was watching it
Got spoiled to hell and back
It started in 1954 so yeah
Enjoy, laddie
All the issues up to october 2019, last couple of years aint there but I will manage one of these years lmfao
Is time
@fair echo || that grilled cheese scene was perfect || chef 2014
Man i could be reading war breaker, why do i do this with my time

But honestly not too bad so far
Chef 2014 || chef is making a twitter
||

Chef 2014 ||thought he would wow the critic with his epic cooking skills, boy was i wrong
||
I’ll watch the second half tomorrow
Aboutta give BCS another chance since it’s on Netflix
BCS || also heard Bryan and Aaron are gonna be in the finale so I def need to be caught up for that ||
You have 6 days
1 season per day
gl boss
Challenge accepted
I gotta try binge bb and bcs
But I thought they wouldn’t show up until later on
I don’t think it’s possible
This is the last season...
Maybe
Aren’t there a lot of episodes left
I heard there were two parts
1st part is getting dropped all at once
Ohh gotcha
Hopefully they’re in the 2nd part then
No
Only 2 eps on monday
Then weekly
Is 13 a lot
ah
That’s not too bad
Holy shit brother @modern lichen . Just reached Intermission || this is just so fucking good || RRR
New stranger things trailer looks great

They're still making stranger things?
Season 4 in may
Yeah fourth season soon
I’m excited
Another season after the 4th one cunk
The writer was calling season 4 their “Game of Thrones”
|| The whole attack on Scott's mansion. Thr Water vs Fire Scene, the "lie down fight scene" (I forgot what was the word for it, I haven't liked one this much ever since John Wick || John Wick all/ RRR
Stranger things ||damn will can't catch a break||
Wait and watch 😎
This doesn't bode well for Stranger Thing tbh man LMAO

Lmaoo
I've lost interest in that show but I'll be watching because it's gonna be big and loud with good special effects
Same I actually don’t even like it that much but I’ll def it watch it for the sfx
Stranger things is fun
Last 2 seasons weren’t as good as the first but they’ve been fun
Season 3 felt very weird
I was just happy it was better than season 2
Yeah Season 2 was boring as fuck
Yeah I don’t remember a damn thing
Dude fr
I gotta rewatch season 3
Season 3 being much more fun also helped
It seems like Season 4 is going for the big and epic time than "hey these are kids in danger and on an intimate adventure around the town"
Stranger things season 2 || i give it a pass for steve and dustins friendship, and bob ||
Can't the intermission end already
Yeah Im hoping season 4 will be the best yet
Stranger things season 2 || bob was the sweetest kindest man and he deserved so much better ||
ST Season 2 || I wish they honored Bob more in season 3, his sacrifice was one of the highlights of the show ||
Stranger things season 2 || but apart from bob, and steve and dustin just being the best duo and the best characters the season was meh ||
ST season 2 || although I have my gripes with the writing of that scene, Sean Astin really is one of the most endearing men ever and he made that scene heartbreaking, such a good character who was good and loving to the very end ||

@modern lichen I’m for sure going to see Batman today
I couldn’t the other days for certain reasons but today is set
Nice
No
aight aight thx
Batman general || if you know about his general lore like his parents dying and who Alfred is and Catwoman is, then that's an added bonus. I'm guessing you know the basic building blocks of what Batman is ||
batman ||I know the general story of Batman but not the villains. Don’t know Alfred or catwoman so I guess I’ll do some research on em ||
Batman general || Alfred is the Wayne butler who raised Bruce in many iterations, Catwoman is a thief who sometimes is an ally, sometimes is an enemy, she's mostly the primary romantic interest for Batman ||
The other shit are going to clear once you watch the movie, you don't need to know much at all
Once you watch the film and if you're interested

I’ll have to see…more of a marvel fan ya see….
Hm...

Marvelly
Batman is one of the two most iconic characters in comics so you're going to like stories about him once you start reading em
@modern lichen here's an opinion that would probably make you angry.
I think I would put RRR slightly above than The Batman in my fav movies of 2022

oh shit sorry lol
i thought i was there and i got confused when i didnt see my message there
fuck
What is rrr

An Indian Action Blockbuster
It's the movie people in the west are raving about

As well as the movie itself does
It's magnificent

Here's a message I wrote that explains what the movie is succinctly
It's basically extremely great fanfiction
Fanhistoryfiction
Yeah it's about two very real legendary figures
thats a sick ass premise
The execution is even better
Lmao same they’re literally showing it in one theater by me
Oh mines in Newport jersey city
Long text wall incoming. Would be happy if no one sends anything for like a minute
don't want anything to be in between text walls

that was rhe second closest one for me
Word I wasn’t tryna go to the city tbh
Guys let neko post
RRR || Alr. Starting from, I really loved the way they did (i forgot what the first word was to describe the section which had Malli being taken away) Malli taken away part, Fire, Water. A great way to introduce them, fitting for their characters and my only initial thought to that was that the Fire and Water thing was just as a symbolism for how their friendship based on half-truth would play out but god I love it was way more than that. They did a really great job at introducing the characters, and their main driving philosophy. Scott's by that "price of a bullet" and what Indians were to him, the injustice, in just a few minutes time it was setupped perfectly well. Among those introduction scenes, Ram's was probably one of my favorites. it was just too good, the way he fought was superhuman-esque (Well not complaining. its always present) but the way he fought was choreographed too well, he's a human but a monster than a monster monster like other Bollywood or Tollywood movies usually has. The general's "He scares me more" was such a great moment for Rama's character (as it was timed with Rama cleaning his face and staying in "Attention" with no regards to his injuries, he was perfectly described as a man on a mission) and the future events surrounding it. Also his reaction to not being promoted/awarded. And yeah I absolutely love how his character was handled, the air of mystery surrounding his motives/endgoal. My initial guesses were: he had to kill some certain someone so he was doing it so less people will be injured, better live with heads down than die. Then with "Sita" was dropped, I thought something of similar line but that he couldn't risk her so he is planning on getting on higher rank so she could make her safe. Till the actual flashback happened, I'd say I had like half of it figured out. Was a really well done one I'd say. Also yeah Ajay Devgan was perfect for the short role he played but more on that later ||
|| "What would they do? Shoot their arrows?" god I loved how this is exactly what happened at last
Also yea it did a really great job on scattering the plot points in a seamless way. Idk why I highlighted that, I think I had had this issue with most of Indian movies before, well even movies in general I'd say. None of it was just for the sake of "It happened cuz it would made it cool" or "this will make his introduction look cool, even tho it wouldn't be any important later". It was just going like a good movie, nothing too great to comment and nothing bad either kind of until the bridge scene happened, which was just so fucking cool lol. That was the first scene which had made me extremely hype, not that the Tiger chase thing from earlier or the Ram's introduction scene was bad, but this was just in a whole other level for me.
Also yeah one main thing which I am extremely grateful for this movie. I love songs in Indian movies, its a part of what differentiates it from the rest just in terms of its format, but over the years, the way it was used just made it extremely bad to digest, I mean even the songs were bad and the frequency were extreme- main culprit here being Prem Ratan Dhan Payo for me. That sucked. I just hate when the songs are used in a way which completely invalidates the way the story is at a point, which the recent ones I remember used to do a lot. Like for some examples from the top of my head, Allah Hafiz and other songs in 2007 Bhool Bhulaiyaa (the first Indian movie song I remember vividly to have listened) used to, atleast for me, enrich the experience of the movies & they were used well. Tho not as a real big bonus but atleast I didn't have any problem with it. I want it to be purposeful, & not to just waste time, which it usually does. That being said, I still have exceptions like where I find even random music fun, if its a movie that has large section of story featuring marriage or party, its good as that ||
|| Also back to why I was grateful for this movie for that was, it had purpose. The lyrics during the Ram and Bheem's friendship moment (which were a lot fun to watch btw, one of the best part of the movie (which it has a lot
. it was just fun of them fooling around and enjoying) were, quite obviously, foreshadowing or like laying out to us of what's gonna happen. I forgot what the exact lyrics were but "treachery", "bloodshed" and a lot of stuff which was in the lyrics actually happened, even if it was just obvious. Again to the other song "Nacho Nacho Nacho" of "desi dance" to the taunt of that Englishman of Indians not knowing "dance" "finesse" was another well done one. That kind of song (would fit the criteria of "Item song" ig like Laila from Raees (?)) was used a lot well here than most of anything I remember from the top of my head (there might have been other instances but my memory of it is pretty shitty). It was to prove a point in story, and it was important to the plot - it paved path for Bheem to meet Malli & like ti was responsible for one of the major point in the plot lol. Loved them dancing too, not saying I didn't. Wasn't bad & surprisingly was really important to the story.
I think I am forgetting something here but wasn't what happened right after it was Bheem meeting Malli, deciding to attack immediately, Ram finding Bheem's brother, interrogation, planning on Bhim's side and the snake poison thing. Think I am forgetting something here. Tho yeah it was just decent stuff there but the snake thing and what happened later surprised me. The "treachery" part and how it was executed was just soo good for me. The snake poison thing took me by surprise, I was just expecting him to die or smth to not give up the information but he attacked Rama. That was great amongst the decent stuff.
What followed later was one of the best part of the series. Bheem's confession, Rama's conflict, how both regarded their friendship.||
|| It was just so good, acting was on point and the first part of the series which made me tear up (tho it did make me tear up a lot later lol). The action sequence that followed, absolutely wonderful, mindblowing, I am out of words to describe, it just made me speechless. Them already having a tiger wasn't a surprise but holy shit the amount of animals they had and that they used it for battle, mindblowing. absolutely wonderful. Also did I mention the irony that the one Rama hunted was always near to him. loved it. Oh yeah back to point. The battle was just wonderful, a spectacle in every possible way. I only see at the stuff where VFX and stuff are weird after 2-3 rewatches so I couldn't notice any in this, so even if there were some, they were hidden in a wonderful way I'd say. A lot of extremely well choreographed action, it was hella chaotic yet you could make out what happened. Rama's entry on it added for a lot of emotional impact on the fight, the way with Bheem unable to face the reality that the friend he valued a lot was working for his enemies. The best choreographed fight in the entire movie, emotionally great, kept me at the edge of the seat at every second of it, the "fire vs water" thing was really cool as fuck, and the fight ending in slugfest (that's the word, right?) was really emotional. It really surprised me with putting those unexpected things and yet so well done, like Bheem climbing the mansion or Rama using that Mala (it was a mala, right? ) which the old man had warned that without it, he would be inviting misfortune, being the reason he was unable to reach Malli. Scott's appearance put a really unexpected end to this specific segment too. Might be forgetting some key moments of this but yeah the whole segment didn't even have a single "bad" or "decent" or "good enough" moment in it. It was just perfect ||
RRR till intermission^^
I just copied and pasted into my personal server so I’ll read it after I watch

yeah its more of a vomit of thoughts than a clear concise review of it
I just want it to be in purest form possible
writing and editing kinda removes that.
alr. gotta sleep. had to walk my bike all the way home due to it stopping for some weird reason so tired as hell today. would finish it tomorrow

RRR || Ram's introduction is one of the best scenes in the movie both on a narrative level, showing visually how his character works without him saying a single word and also on a technical level, where Rajamouli and KK Senthil Kumar the cinematographer clearly lays out the geography of the scene and what is going on and how in extremely wide angle shots which showed everything in the frame. Ram is def portrayed as a superhuman but it is almost as if he finds motivation in pain and that his will is so strong it can overcome any physical obstacle, this is shown through multiple points later but it is first set up here. He goes into the crowd, silence follows and his menacing theme hits up and you can see him gaining composure through his willpower to get the turban dude. The scene is framed as if it is something claustrophobic yet so clear because that's Ram's vision. And the cherry on the top is definitely the ending of that scene, which incredibly shows what kind of a man Ram is, a man who is willing to move to any direction and tear through anything to achieve his goal as he washes his face staggered and gets back to attention, scaring the people back to retreat as Rajamouli frames his face in close up to show his varied emotional state inside. Expert filmmaking that shows Rajamouli's flair for the fantastical yet incredibly cinematic vision ||
I can talk about all the big scenes in the movie in this amount of detail
It's incredible
Spoiler tag these pages
What is RRR
Oh I see.
Fanfiction done well
It doesn't sell how wild the movie itself is
It is incredible though
The director Rajamouli doesn't direct movies that are subtle
They're all big and bombastic and incredible in their emotional content
They sure love their slow mo
Completely agreed
It's slow mo well done
Maybe recency bias + forgetting movies, but I like it waaay more than both Bahubali movies combined
It is not pretending to be realistic in any regard
RRR ||That 360 no scope 😎 ||
That is amazing
Nah this movie better than the entirety of Baahubali
Not even recency bias
It's better structured, has better action and emotional stakes, the main leads are better
Yeah but I would have to rewatch Bahubali to form a proper opinion ig. I have forgotten half of both movies.
Man that sucks
Emotional stakes tho yea. I cried in this more, I don't think I cried in Bahubali, maybe 1-2 times in totsl
Holy shit
RRR || Rama's backstory and around the ending when those two met again had me crying a lot ||
RRR || Rama's back story especially as thr whole bit was shown in pieces with distance. When his mother and brother died, when Ajay Devgn said "Load, aim fire" before Rama kills him
||
RRR ending || one of my favourite moments in the movie is this little moment when after they escape and Bheem sets Rama Raju near the statue of Lord Rama, that majestic statue with the bow and arrows and you see Bheem nurse his wounds and using the flags there to cloth him and he goes to the statue to prostrate to Lord Rama and he sees the bow and arrow and you hear the theme for Rama Raju-that incredible cue and you realise, holy shit, this is Alluri becoming what he physically looked like later in his life, with his garb and the bow and arrow, finally leading into his entrance with the guerrilla shooting and those magnificent shots of Ramaraju with the fire arrow where he proclaims to the soldiers there that he will obtain those weapons. ||

Absolutely wonderful
RRR || Yeah I had no idea how they would implement him looking like Rama when I had watched the trailer but holy that was so good lol ||
RRR ending ||this is what alluri sitarama raju looked like in real life||
RRR ending ||he was a warrior monk already||
RIP. Lot of comedians have passed it seems.

That is awfully designed. Not only that Oscar Isaac is practicing poor gun safety.
Just Tiffany Haddish’s presence makes me lower the standards of the poster completely
That probably sounded mean
Yeah I just meant I’m used to her doing comedy stuff that it’s harder to take it as seriously
But if she’s good in it then I might check it out since I haven’t seen her do a real drama yet
RIP :(
Noooo wtf
