Like we see in the sequel what his reaction is to people trying to undo his work - he’s pissed that people aren’t grateful for his sacrifice and decides to make a new universe where they have to like it lol. The main idea I’ve liked that really fits with Thanos’ character is that he can’t let go of the past when his home planet was destroyed because they didn’t accept his completely ludicrous idea to murder half the population lol. There’s nothing really heroic about it, he’s doing it to prove that his solution was correct and his planet could have been saved if they’d only listened to him and convinced himself he’s the savior for being the one to pull the trigger.|| Endgame

||I can accept that, and I liked infinity war so I can totally see this perspective. I also agree that he wasn’t created with the intention of being relatable towards the audience or justified in any manner, but the general discourse in how he’s analyzed as a character has jaded me a bit… to the point where I have zero motivation to watch any other superhero films (hated the new Spider-Man). Josh Brolin is a great actor though. ||

I LOVE Death. The way Pratchett handles this character feels so fresh and unique to me. The cook (was his name Albert?) was also another character I liked. Didn't care much about the female characters though ||

All he's doing is prolonging the already appropriated and bastardized art form as a spectacle for random white people to bask in, he's not saving SHIT. Chef ||That third point is such an important one. Progression feels unnatural, the dialogue is off, there’s weird choppy scenes. There was the moment where Carl (after his ex wife reminds him why he’s the best chef in the whole wide world) tries to make up for picking his son up late by taking him to an amusement park and it quite literally lasts like 60 fucking seconds. This part was supposed to be so important as set up for showing us that Carl is a neglectful father, even when he’s physically present he’s mentally absent. And it lasts like one minute. ???. Not to mention the weird cut from the amusement park to Carl in his car back to the house while he’s on his phone. It’s just weird.||

I saw the batman today, really good movie

It reallly went away from the typical superhero nartive and went into a darker twist. It was mystery movie, loved it

It proves that Marvel does it better at the fantasy style movies but DC does it better at darker themed movies
