I enjoyed that it was a thing men had to deal with. Even Theoden not bringing the war to the natives (forgot their name) was good and played into that.||

RoW ch 25||I really appreciate Brandon delving into the topic of depression and mental health as a whole. Hits home for me and I think itās portrayed in a mature and realistic manner that I can relate to. I know he does a lot of research about these things. This chapter about Kaladin and Teft visiting the mental health devotary and helping the suicidal man is very raw. It almost makes me forget that this is a fantasy series because itās tackling a very major real world issue that a lot of authors stem away from. Realism in fantasy is always appreciated by me. But wonder if people view this as too on the nose and in your face. I personally donāt think heās shoving it down readers throats without any subtlety but perhaps there are people who feel that way. I think his application is spot on||

RoW chapter 25 ||I love this scene so much. It's so easy to forget Roshar isn't actually very advanced in terms of advancement on humans-it's basically in the middle ages by this point (not technologically, it's quite a bit further in that sense). But what makes this contrast so much better is how since the magic system relies on their state of mind, the Radiants are really aware of what their emotions and state of mind feels like, while most of Roshar is unaware of mental health issues. You really don't notice this until this scene and it does take a bit of processing to realise it, but it's such an amazing piece of worldbuilding that highlights the themes of the series ||
