Inside Llewyn Davis || saw this movie for the first time back in 2016 and it’s been such an enigma to me since. Saw it again earlier this year and thought I completely understood everything that went over my head. Until I recently started learning a little more about folk music as a genre and realized that were was a whole other layer to the movie that I completely missed. Lucifer comic ending || good for lucifer escaping into the void being free from everything, and elaine becoming god was crazy but cool. i liked her since her introduction with monas killer and stuff. Its weird that dream never appeared except in a flash back but i guess mike carey wanted this to have its own identity away from that. its also weirdly focused on earth and humans but thats forgiveable since i dont really care about aliens and their opinion on god. I wish mike carey attempted to do more self contained stories, instead of having everything directly tie into the overall plot but its good either way. ||

Way of Kings so far ||I think Brandon is a very talented author. I think he plays to his strengths well and has a sweet spot for description which a lot of other authors a lot of the time get wrong. I think he's clearly very good at character writing, and the world building is already insanely good and I'm only 250 pages in. I think there's a lot of overarching intrigue about whats to come and the bigger things at play while I'm still mainly focusing on the individual situations of the main characters so far like Kaladin as a bridgeman, Shallan working to become Jasnah's ward, Dalinar's ... stuff. And the magic system seems fun with shardplate and shardblades but I'm sure there's a lot more to them.||
