I think its because at the time it aired, the original power rangers secured a really good time slot on Fox Kids which was basically the go to place back then. If Kamen rider was prioritized first, who knows what would happen. Once PR established itself there was no chance for it to succeed and they did try but it was too late.

And she learned the Lord Ruler left nothing of value down there like she and Elend hoped. However, what he did inscribe in the metal may be Brandon suggesting the Lord Ruler was not wholly evil, at least he theorized that Ruin was driving him to madness. So, this leads me to wonder if all the actions he took in punishing Ska were all his or Ruin wanting him to ruin other humans - Brandon did not describe it so black and white so I think it's a little bit of Ruin and a little bit of the Lord Ruler trying to enact control over the world he set up to ensure Ruin did not destroy everything. So it's possible the voices that Zane and Spook hear are actually Ruin messing with them both, but that's still up for debate in the books since Vin assumed that not every time she heard Reen was actually Ruin. At least we finally have a villain to work against directly now that has a personality and is not merely a force with no motivation.||

Mistborn book 3 ||So far, I find myself caring more about Spook 'cause I'm enjoying this character arc he's going through. Whereas with Elend, although I logically understand why he's behaving like a hardened general, I don't enjoy it. And I think it's because I believe quite of bit of that "hardening" happened off-screen in between books 2 and 3. Vin is fine per usual, but I enjoyed the arc she was going through in book 2 far more, and the whole drugging scene feels a bit forced plot-wise for me. I just feel like Brandon could've come up with something more interesting.||
||And Elend getting more Koloss felt like a repeat of earlier in the book even though I know it's being used to further develop his character.||

Sadly, so much of the good stuff early in the book is not in the book, it's in the epigraphs; so, it feels less natural and more like an exposition dump - in fact, I'm confident these epigraphs are the literal definition of that writing technique. And it hurts the book greatly because all-in-all it's a mountain of information to keep track of to the point it just gets lost in the sauce. It's simply too much, regardless of how interesting it is. As an antagonist, Yomen bored me to tears (but I'm happy to see him kind of do a 180 despite being zealous to the bitter end). Marsh ended up only being slightly interesting, but he was never really a favorite of mine to begin with. While I understood the logic behind Elend's outward behavior as a leader, it didn't sit well with me because I believe that character growth mostly happens off-screen between books 2 and 3 (though some, of course, kiiiind of happens in book 2). Vin was good per usual. But Spook takes the gold for me, his chapters were just a delight to experience as he went through an entire character arc in this book and Brandon made me really care about him for once. All that aside, that leads me to...||
||...the ending. HOLY. SHIT. I might've said some mean things about most of the book, but that ending drove the nail home almost perfectly. Vin took my breath away when she essentially became Preservation and just destroyed Kredick Shaw anime style and beat the asses of all 12 Inquisitors with little effort. And she utlimately got to become a god and clash with Ruin directly and finish him off (I assume with Elend's help via burning the atium and possibly diminishing his power? maybe?). But more than anything, Sazed. I never saw that twist coming, and it's a 10/10, and left me in tears watching him utilize all the religions he preached about in books 1 and 2 to reshape everything back to the way it was - fantastic foreshadowing. And in fact there was some great foreshadowing that paid off in the end, such as Vin's earring. P.S. I will assume that in Mistborn era 2 Kelsier, Vin, and Sazed are all worshipped as gods thanks to Demoux and others in the new Kelsier religion.||

oh one other thing Mistborn era 1 everything ||I'm gonna give major props to Brandon: having the balls to kill off your two main character in Vin and Kelsier, and then BEHEAD Elend and in a way "kill" Sazed (since he's gone beyond the mortal realm essentially and become a god) is very ballsy. BTW, I could've done without Elend losing his head, felt a bit crude - Sazed puts him back together, but that didn't work for me.||

He likes to almost overcomplicate the mechanisms of how things were created, or how the world might work or something else in the world, maybe even the magic systems themselves. Regardless of how good these books are, my eyes glazed over hard on some sections of Rhythm of War.||
