omg. give me.
Anyone tried this yet?
Watching the long walk
You should have gone to the walking screening
I’ll probably watch the pilot this weekend
Likewise
Pretty gas
nah what does it do
Boy
What
Excellent first two eps
WHAT
They already released 2 episodes
Wtf
I literally just heard about this show last month
The premiere included the first 2 episodes
ah ok
Vince Gilligan on pitching the original concept for #Pluribus when execs were asking, “What’s next in the ‘Breaking Bad’ world?”:
“We live in a world of IP, where the safest thing to do is reboot something that has an audience. I wanted to prove to myself I wasn’t a one-trick pony. It’s harder than it’s ever been to get something made that’s not based on a previous movie or comic book or video game. Every generation deserves its own stories, instead of just the stories of their grandparents.”
The long walk ||Fuck, this was a bit too disturbing for what I was expecting. Definitely a solid movie||
Bravo Vince
The long walk ||I'm glad that there's really no fluff to this movie. Think that makes it more eerie and tense. It's literally just the walk from start to finish without any unnecessary exposition||
||if anything, I think I would have preferred to not even see Garraty's flashback with his dad and left that up for interpretation too||
Lion King (Play) is still a masterpiece, seeing the Denver showing
I saw the lion king play as a 2 or 3 year old with my grandparents and for some reason it made me cry and leave the theater
like scared cry
19 days to gooo
Ok how did I not put two and two together and realize that he’s Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s son lmfao
Zack Snyder just posted a photo of a predator to celebrate the release of Predator: Badlands
QRT: screentime
Zack Snyder just posted a new photo of Jared Leto's Knightmare Joker from 'ZACK SNYDER'S JUSTICE LEAGUE'
This is pathetic
Jared leto really is the worst Joker in any tv verse
snyder made a couple million bucks and still acts lile he peaked in high school
Pluribus episode 2 is great
Frankenstein is so gorgeous
Is the frankenstein movie good
As a fan of the book I’m disappointed
Does it have that Netflix color grading
or does it look like his other movies like shape of water , hell boy, PR
The worst quote and person combination

Ah yes, the overly mundane and not dreamlike movies of Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet
Eli Roth is a moron
We will be killing Jeremy Renner
11/22/63 ||i am locked in after the end of part 2||
We love king
I heard there is lantern news
did you know oda is a huge fan of hazbin hotel music? he posted his playist once and it was as wack as you'd expect
I heard they were doing test screenings
Anyone watch blue eyed samurai
11/22/63 ||WTF||
Will be showing up for those
peak content
It welcome to derry ep 3 and above and merch spoilers forms. ||love the other forms we are getting.||
lol fuck i shouldn't of clicked that
I even tagged it bruh
You hungry af for derry
is that a good movie/show?
What? Winter?
oh I thought you were talking about a show cause you're in #western-series
finally started hero of ages
raBRBAERTHNTEANTH
Would recommend
mid
I probably won't watch it for a couple days cuz busy
You would
Huh 😭
and whys that
why does he have the eyes of a serial killer
He runs an actual cult
Coincidence ?
I wont be suprised if they cast him for a season of monster playing him
😭
my issues with the books aren't ones most people had
It's my least fav cosmere book so far
I rated it like a 2/5
I liked the final two chapters, and some aspects of it
but it's the book that frustrated me the most in recent memory
mainly ||
I don't like epigraphs spoiling the content of the book and leading to reveals earlier than the story organically reaches it.
The plot is very unrefined with some very contrivances
The lore/worldbuilding expansion is pushed to last moment in regards to some elements of the story, rather than properly progressing it.
I found character arcs of some characters to be done VERY poorly || HoA
|| just to confirm, epigraphs are the text inbetween chapters right? || HoA mistborn
Yes
That's oone of my most frustrating part and part of the reason I dnf'ed the book one time
ngl i havent been reading all those
makes sense
~~
thanks
It's a part of the book and it's intended by the author
It's placed there to be read then
so my mind cannot not read it
and when I read it, it makes some later stuff, which does it better, meaningless
|| Where I'm at, TenSoon just escaped, so far im having a fun time, I think the character arcs are going smoothly, Im really liking how Elend isn't exactly using better methods than the Lord Ruler did, and the strain its putting on his mental. || HoA mistborn
i read a them every here and there but i havent read each one
but I like the way each of them are written so far
(although the problems you faced might not be where I am currently)
after HoA im taking on warbreaker
Have you read stormlight?
if you have read stormlight till WaT, you should read Secret History after HoA
Secret History's best Mistborn book for m e
i read
about 300 pages of TWoK
but this was almost 2 years ago
(didnt dislike it at all, loved what I read, just had personal shit going on)
Reading that rn!
Nice nice
I would go Yumi and then Mistborn era 2 prolly
Mistborn era 1 made me almost give up on reading anything else of cosmere so thank god Secret History saved it
mainly reading warbreaker before stormlight || because i heard of cameos happening and stuff|| stormlight warbreaker
but i also like the premise, and the magic sounds cool
L take Secret History is ||Just non stop Kelsier glaze 🥱||
eh
It's an more emotional catharsis to the story than HoA
I think the recommended order is ||Way of Kings, Warbreaker, Words of Radience||
SH|| and it's more so non-stop Kelsier antiglaze || lol
eh
It's just cuz one single dialogue is mentioned in WoR
just read one single series at a time
Instead of going Dicaprio meme in WoR
you'll go DiCaprio meme in Warbreaker
yeah
ive heard before wor is better for reading Warbreaker
WoR is a bad book regardless anyway
That’s also what I’ve heard
but id rather just read it before I even start stormlight to beginwith
i like going dicaprio face
thhen go dicaprio face when you read WB
I am going a random af reading order
and I am enjoying them
Also I read pretty fast
some part of cosmere fandom is just anal about reading orders
Ive heard
You say this like you haven’t just shit on half of the books
I mean, my issue is with the bookos
and I only really dislike HoA and Tress
every other cosmere book is still at like A there
I’m gonna put my foot calluses into a soup for you to eat
Wtf
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hmCAKlcr7M
this is what that led to
The Cosmere is a vast fictional universe. No one really knows what order it should be read in. Through a process of scientific experiments, I have discovered the one true reading order, however, its power is all-consuming.
Twitter: https://twitter.com/ManCarrying
why
HoA is the best Mistborn era 1 novel bruh
I have already explained why I disliked it here

I like WoA most
and even then I hate the sanderlanche there
I like WoA more than FE aswell
It's a more interesting novel
Good political fantasy
woa || And really interesting post-mortem of revolutiion ||
I’d say FE has the better hook, WoA has the better plot and character writing
I second this
I just find the sanderlanche really weak
Well of Ascension ||By good political fantasy do you mean Elend showing zero development in character, political theory and likability?||
And || Straff not dying to Amarantha and just dying to Vin swinging Berserker sword || is the single worst decision I have read in any book. WoA
100x more likeability
I am not interested in this discussion if you are not willing to consider people like/dislike different things and discuss about the specifics Euge
WoA ||Literally got mogged by his half brother that didn’t survive the book||
sorry

Even after I said I disliked HoA and consider it the worst, I said that the reasons for that has been some specifics to me and not ones I would expect others to have

See you say this and then literally do the exact same thing
Yeah because I already explained why above
I went on specifics already
And even then I already accepted that it wouldn't be ones many people would bother to be affected by or think about

anyways
mistborn bad amirite
Elantris is aight
I am interested in Elantris
but im saving that for when Im in a sanderson mood again after this binge
more so cuz of cosmere implications in other books
TFE is 3.5. WoA is 4. HoA is 2
tfe for me was an 8/10
I don’t think I’ve actively disliked any of the Cosmere novels I’ve read
well of ascension was a 9/10
Well, fully
Same!
and hoa so far is an 8.5
4/5 star rating
And even Tress would be like idk 5/5 for most of yall here
but going up
That’s what I rated it
See
(ngl probably the cosmere work im the least interested in)
I can see why people would like it and rate it
TWOK is like a solid 4/5 so far
But I have specifics issues that made me hate it
just that
Even my least fav stormlight book is like 4.25
TWOK ||Tbh I’m mostly interested in Szeth and Dalinar stuff so the Shallan/Kaladin chapters I lowkey dread||
more of my kind of story
can't relate
TWOK || Szeth's my fav character in all of Stormlight, but I enjoyed all of those POVs ||
we can't be friends!
TWoK || kaladin i suppose I get, me personally I loved his chapters, but Shallan I dont get, she's great ||
The prose there was worst even by Brandon's standards
TWOK/ASOIAF ||Okay maybe not dread as much as I’d say “less interested” bc it’s all great so far. Dread would more describe every single Daenerys chapter in ASOIAF||
in his other books, they don't hamper my reading. So it serves the purpose
in Tress, it actively took me out of reading
|| isnt it like written from the perspective of wit|| stormlight and tress
Uhhhh
This makes it make sense I promise 😭
Yes but there's more
I understand Euge
just don't relate cuz differing taste and all
It’s not bad!!
this is all I know about the book btw
My top 5 characters so far are
- ||Dalinar||
- ||Szeth but jury is out bc I’ve read like 3 chapters||
- ||Shallan||
- ||Kaladin||
- ||Jasnah||
^ TWOK
You would find my issues to be outrageous when I explain them to you then
ill read it eventually
aside from frugal
its the secret project im least interested in
Yumi is up at the top for interest of course
at that point in the book my list was |
||
Szeth
Kaladin
Dalinar
Shallan
Adolin ||
twok
TWOK ||Jasnah is soooooo interesting to me. Like why is she the ultimate contrarian LMAO||
I'll read it soon cuz my gf gifted me the physical book for it
but with my disappointment with Tress, I am less willing to read it
The cover goes hard
TWOK || Nice. I found Jasnah parts fun only due to Shallan's dynamics with her ||
TWOK ||Im getting more into the Shallan chapters bc she was drawing some fuckin worm head things when they weren’t there and it was freaking me out||
TWOK || The first time I read it, I really liked that we get a POV which is seet completely in a library ||
had blown my 16 y/o brain cuz I considered it such a bold decision
WoR really went from my fav book to least fav stormlight book in reread. Funny when these happen
enough about bad books tho
@modern lichen my new rec to you is Way Station by Clifford D Simak
'65's hugo winner
Does some really interesting and bold things
I’ve decided on my 50th read of this year
what's it gonna be
A reread of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
All 6 books
It’s a short enough collection
nice nice
have way station for your next year's read
It does some things which I would never have expected to work in the way it did
this had been my reaction recently

Katabasis
I’m tired boss…. This is more of an academic digression than a scene from a story
atp that's kinda been her USP so I doubt that she would leave it lol
It’s fucking me up even more this time
💔
5 is one of the goats
also
TWOK ||SHallan in twok is the goat, she absolutely clears the other povs||
||I think Shallan only got more interesting than others in ||WoR
oops
in TWOK, every other POV was more interesting
crazy
twok|| I think on reread I would like Kaladins more, but the beginning it felt like it had no direction first time, but by the halfway mark of twok i was locked into kaladin as well||
TWOK || Honor Chasm is one of my fav scenes in the whole series ||
years ago when I randomly picked this book up, that was where it had hooked me
twok ||lowkey now that I thinka bout it dalinar prob has the worst start in twok, love his character but im kinda farting on what he even did on that book besides the beginning with the hunt? oh ya its actually coming back to me as a i type it njbm||
idk
all the characters are good
anyway TWOK || Dalinar's journey in book 1 was more about learning to be better person than the Warlord that he was, being moven by grief, and trying to be better than he should have but failing at that continously ||
twok|| its not about dalinar was bad, its just that everyone is better ||
idk I like him more than || Shallan's ||
twok
It was more active
had more direction
Also ob ||i still stand by the favt dalinar is carried by his flashbacks and ending in this book, othetwise hes lowkey mid||
Plus it was more so related to like events of the story
average wombat take
suitable name
😎
I’m albert and einstein bro
Really enjoying 11/22/63
Eh, got too many long fantasies i gotta read
Dark tower better
Maybe someday later down the line
Dark tower is absolute gas
It's just 18 books counting rest of King that tie into it
I still have dune, lotr, and the rest of tsa sitting on my shelfss
You can just read the dark tower books btw
LOTR is just 1 stormlight book long anyway
Whadda fuck
see like
gotta read The Stand for || Flagg || Dark tower

complete experience of King's multiverse
Nah i remember it now but i still think hes worse than the others
Nah don't let mirio say otherwise
Why not I’m an intellectual
You dont think I’m an intellectual?
Twok || dalinar was easily the best. The other was a depressed twink boy in his gay band and then a priest flirting with a minor ||
I meannn
You might appreciate it but I don't think it falls under your taste
given what I know you like and dislike
you might like Children of Dune most
😭
but I doubt you'll even finish Dune to reach that
twok ||i like twinks||
based?
you are phrasing it as somehow it's a bad thing mirio

Only books id recommend while reading the dt are the stand and salem lot
Just to not get overloaded
The Stand for || Man in Black I assume? ||
idk waht this mean
s
Many are not ready to hear how peak the talisman and black house is
but idk if Wombat would even notice it
Dude it's so minor mention that most people don't
black sprayed edges
They make good self defense weapons
loko nice there
143 🙏
Fucking bricks
King 🤝 Sanderson
both are real for that
(Only thing they good for)
sure
Insane slander
My favorite cover for king besides the stand one
Wish this mf was cooking up another creepshow season
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XwkVY6Yrb8
watch this lisa
Can I have some [dark tower reading order] please?
Yeah I've seen that crackhead reading order
Before
Unironically

The part where he goes in publication order is cracked
unironically best way to experience it
but I aint' gonna
King's too cracked for me at times to enjoy everything he writes
Ive read everything in that cracked order already
So I have the extra context
Its just insane tho
11/22/63 has been relaly good
that's in my list
but idk
wanna branch out
I have only read Lovecraft and some other writer from that era and King for horror
not my fav genre
Absolute literature, king was cooking like crazy
Lowkey………
I always leave his books enjoying my time greatly
Tho ngl im a huge book mark merchant
11/22/63 ||the premise pulled me in just hearing it, but its one thing to really read it. I liked the shining well enough but like I’m totally locked into this rn ||
11/22/63|| one of those things thats so inherently satisfying to see the cause and effect, not to mention the broader mystery going on in the past like with the yellow card man and how the past doesnt want to be changed||
You just need to let king take the wheel
He can go crazy driving wont ever be a boring ass ride
Another one that gave me a vibe similar to this one was deadzone
a lot of times too crazy
Part of the charm
Id rather read a crazy chapter than a boring one
I usually enjoy cozy chapters which people find boring
Slice of life. characters being characters

Pluribus ep 1/2
try house of leaves
speaking of horror I just remembered something I wanted to ask @limber urchin do you know dom bittner
he likes doing alternate covers of horror movies and stuff
I came across one of his paintings called nosferatu recently and it was absolute fire
?
just start reading
Man reads DDIA for career but says he can't read a fictional book series 😭
😭 adhd works in mysterious ways
Try immersive reading
Audio book and words at same time
Ti's a valid way of reading

can read when you are walking
try that lucy
I can't do it cuz I can't hold my concentration to listening to englihs
i could never do an audio book
or tbh an ebook
I don't like ebooks, I tried a kindle and it just isnt for me. I don't really do audiobooks anymore either. No hate to anyone who uses em, I just find I retain more with an ordinary book than ebook or audio book
I enjoy most with ebook now
most books can't even be found in physical ones here
well most that I would wanna read
I have only read one series in audiobooks
I like ebooks because for some reason my work doesnt let me bring in books but i cam be on my phone
and that was barely possible
And if I want to read in bed its more convenient on my phone
Because built in lighting
I usually have one book I read in phone, one in kindle and one in physical
well used ot have
now I can't juggle more than 1
i don't know them, please send it
1984
Have you finished words of radiance little buddy
is this show weekly?
I absolutely cannot send it lol

pluribus so good
This is true
Son of Kong was such a piece of utter trash
Watched it for the joke in Futurama and for Donkey Kong Jr lore it wasn't worth it 😔
Holy fuck
I thought you were gonna call skull island bad
I had to reread
I'm not a big fan of skull island either but I'm due to rewatch it
The movie you’ve all been waiting for

I'm considering beginning the arduous journey of diving into the Warhammer novels, but I am afraid
400+ things to read
Starting with Horus Rising?
Mhm
Nice
Technically I have spoiled myself to major events so I have an extremely rough understanding of where things stand in the current setting
But not even remotely close to finer details or character profiles
This channel on YT I've seen has done some dramatic readings of certain passages and just kills it
Have fun
And welcome
I'm a huge fan
already taken care of

I am on Kuang break for a while
until she writes something other than academia criticism pieces
@sage remnant Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is so effortlessly hilarious

It had won me over since the first chapter
|| Never would I expect that destruction of a planet is so fucking funny || HHGTTG
The third page and it’s making me laugh so hard
@shrewd sigil I learned smth about HoA today and it is making me lower my score for it even more
|| What the fuck do you mean Slowswift isn't HOID ?!?!?!? || HoA/Cosmere all
wait you haven't read WaT still. anyway there's like some small interaction in that which would have made that such a poignant thing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGKP2vVwcDg
@modern lichen seen this?

HoA/cosmere ||I googled him right after the chapter thinking he'd be a dragon or something but yeah no he's just a reference to tolkien that has no connection to the actual lore||
It was like probably the ONLY part of the book I completely enjoyed
without any issue
and now that's ruined as well
like like HOA/Cosmere || He knwos about spren. He knows about like wider cosmere stuff. He implies Kelsier's not fully dead ||
||How's it not HOIDDDD ||
It's at like 1/5 for me
Icl
and my motivation for further cosmere atp is gone
||a real hoid fan would know that he doesn't talk in the way slowswift did..||
damn
||He does!!! ||
mbe1
like in one instance
it doesn't seem like him
|| But he does kinda adjust at times to fit in with the world ||
mistborn era 1
||Like in TFE. He doesn't have his Hoid-ness||
HoA/cosmere ||~~either way him smoking is an obvious tell that this is a Tolkien reference ~~||
idk man the things that bother you in the books are always so different from the things that bothered me
you should def still try out era 2 tho 😁
I mean
I don't expect it to be same as other people
Yeah I am gonna move on to Malazan
after like finishing this read and Will of Many book 2
nah I'm not saying it like it's an issue I just mean that I don't know how to agree/disagree since this is something that I just read and moved on, didn't even consider whether I liked or disliked that part
alr
I don't think anyone was bothered

I'll probably read Yumi too someday
I already have it
but after Malazan book1
2032 I'll wait for your stormlight 6 read
I'm worried about that
Oh damn this is cool
I’ll check this out later
yes
https://x.com/marysia_cc/status/1987466306862379484?s=46 @leaden depot
Thats on my list aswell
This is the ideal rating distribution for an experimental film
(It's Wavelength lol)
excited for the new ep of The Chair Company
Sick. Good luck lol
Although I think you’ll be fine
The barrier to entry is challenging but once you get fully engaged with the series it becomes addictive
At least in my experience
oh shit. new Derry episode, i forgot!
Washed
It’s so over
Yeah I’m washed. Yeah I’m a fraud. I admit all these things. But that’s why the redemption arc will be even greater. I will reclaim former glory
Busy with everything. I have so much to do and I’m trying to figure out a schedule for myself
But I’ve been making fast progress recently. Only reason I’ve taken this long is because I took like a 2 week break from reading
I’ll probably be finished or close to finished by end of next week
Take care man
Thanks
Trying to figure schedule is really difficult
Yeah
One day we will find it
||I like how poetic all 3 metallic arts are

Who’s the author
Clifford Simak
Ok done
Ah
Wait theres 3 poppy war books
I have the first and havent started reading yet
Didnt know there was 3
You got this i believe 🙏
Are these all you have left
It's a series yes
his 2026 tbr
Other than MST, its feasible
That’s my 2026 book list, it’s at the top of the list
MST books gets twice as long with every book
I have like 2 books left this year
isnt it in the book list right there? Unless you mean something different
I’ve never read it yeah
Oh damn I missed that
I’ve heard a lot about it
It's very good
Yeah it’s in the list lol
2 of my fav series lets goo
And you are a hater much to my dismay. Shame shame shame
thats crazy. its not great btu 1.5 is like trash level
its like a b+ for me like 3.5-4
I don't have anything I fully enjoyed in it
I had one thing
and the reason I enjoyed it was gone today
I have plenty of 0.5
I finish books 😎
Sando has 1 0.5 from me. His Reckoners series
theres a finite amount of time i have to read. Even if that means thousands of books across my life. I aint wasting time on something im getting no enjoyment out of, im moving on
It’s ok we cant all have perfect taste 24/7
which is like idk a average book
if somethings not at least 2/5 for me im not finishing it. And if it were a standalone i probably wouldnt even finish 2/5
Some realization stuff sorta happened today which effectively killed my interest in reading further Cosmere for a while :kekge:
Idk. Usually it has enough things going for me to enjoy
or I read to enjoy the trainwrexk
Sanderson washed?
Stormlight good
his Wheel of Time good
first two Mistborn and Secret History good
Also hope you HAVEN'T read secret history muk
Read that after era 2
I haven’t read it
good
Stormlight and Warbreaker have me excited
I almost picked it up at the store but decided I have too much books to catch up to do that
good
you could read it after HoA if you had read like upto WaT
Just follow release order for these sort of things
Are you currently reading HOA
I’m reading book 2 of Stormlight right now
O
Hero of ages is my second favorite of the Mistborn trilogy
I love all the books though
Good
WoA Sanderlanche was disappointing
Other than that its my fav book of Mistborn era 1
my favorite's SH which is like 4.999999/5
The final empire is my favorite
WoA || had more interesting development for characters and the political fantasy aspects were really nice ||
|| the epigraph talked about the revalations if Koloss and Hemalurgy before the chapter did a page later || hoa
It would have been in my top books of all time if not for that terrible final act
Rendering half of chapter useless
Bravo
I wish I continued stormlight
Should I stop reading the epigraphs
Cus I can always come back to them later
If you can, it would enrich the experience
I can only think of 3 instances where Epigraphs did good rather than bad
Is it because of wor ||jasnah||
Prolly
I remember him being super salty about it
I had really liked that in my first read iirc
Oathbringer end ||and then she barely does anything in the next book
||
|| does enough || Ob end
Oathbringer ||they love to keep women down smh ||
?????
|| Navani and Shallan have the goat moments || OB
|| and even Jasnah, with Renarin at end, and in the final fight ||
Ob ||navani chapters were lowkey a drag ngl jasnah still the goat tho||
Yeah
Good stuff
💀
Name checks out
You wound me
Also @spiral quest story coming alone nicely?
OB ||Doesnt matter because Oathbringer Dalinar is the fucking goat of all goats||
Matters but also true
Ideas are sprouting as I write, so that's been fun

I still am painting the whole picture in my head of what story I want to tell
I use a notebook yeh
Or if you find smth better then that's good
Yeah
Star Wars, original trilogy
Jerry Jones !
yeah I took that part out, 'cause I genuinely just assumed everyone here would not know the Dallas Cowboy's owner lol
I know that wrinkly mug anywhere
How my ball sack be looking
Gonna need proof on that
Massive lore
Welcome to Derry - Ep03 ||Once more, a great episode. Only real complaint is that the whole Luigi's Mansion threat level ghosts didn't work as well for me,
but I didn't hate it. I loved the opening and how it tied back into the main general on the base being directly connected to the older Native American woman
at the shop, and his impacted memories; really great connection all around. And I'm now 110% confident Hanlon will face Pennywise 1:1 and somehow
stop IT for the next 27 years or so until IT needs to feed again. Granted, he could also just help the kids succeeded in stopping IT, but he is for sure gonna
face the clown now that we know he doesn't feel fear in the face of death. Lastly, Pennywise saying "who are you?" to Halloran is very intriguing, as it suggests
IT may not be in as much control as I thought, since someone can invade their world against their will (or maybe Pennywise forced him into his world to get a better look at Halloran and his powers?).||
is breaking bad as good as the sopranos or the wire?
Yes ?
Id say the same for better call saul
I've never seen the other two, sadly. However, Breaking Bad is, in its own right, a fantastic show.
If you havent already
Recommend sopranos
Oh, trust me, I know I should've watched it long, long ago. I'm sure it's a great show.
I've had like 5 soprano episodes left for weeks I always slow down at the very end cause I get sad about running out
We starting pluribus
While I prefer binge watching my tv, seems a bit harsh of a take
”alpha” in 19-20th century books
maximum alpha
mentions the fucking Iliad
”fighting for princesses”
audiobook at 1.25x
posts the WRONG FUCKING BOOK LINK
Why anyone is on Twitter is beyond me
I mean, fair enough
I bounced when it was confirmed he was buying it
And glad I did
This dude is the ultimate boorish idiot
Unfortunate that we live in this time line
Pluribus ep 1 ||Quite an interesting start lmao. Literally have no idea what’s actually happening but ig that’s the point||
I mean how could I not watch a sci-fi show made my Vince Gilligan
excited to start it
I unfortunately zipped right through the 2 eps available and now am waiting
I'll start today
Debating on putting the show off til season 1 wraps
If you're ever interested, they are amazing shows
One of the few live action dramas I enjoy
Everyone does say that but the premise of both don't really interest me
Then no worries
I need to go back and finish bcs 🤐
Not everything is for everyone
I have stuff I want to get to.
Like Slow Horses and Severance s2
Just need motivation for hour long eps
Peakverance
Severance is so good. It makes me sad season 3 is so far off
Is it?
2027 might be when s3 will come
Severance s2 end ||my parents got so mad at the finale
||
“We won’t be watching season 3”
That's certainly one of the takes of all time
I think they enjoyed it, just one of those things lol
Ahhh
Welcome to derry ep 3 ||that shit at the graveyard wasn't very good, the forrest scene and stuff with halloran was way better. Also remember Buffy Hanlon ain't stopping shit this cycle is the black spot fire they are fucked. He was still fully in control since halloran was about to jump he got overpowered. It was more curious than afraid or out of place. You have to remember they stop fucking with pennywise after this operation which pretty much implies this fails spectacularly. Remember that is likely the building the colonel is giving the air troops.||
just dogshit take
ruined jojos
bad for ratings in general
I'd say it mostly depends, sometimes shit pops off despite everything being dumped at once. However, I'd say overall for a series to pop off virally, I feel like it has a much higher chance of doing so if it's weekly. Granted, the biggest one I can thing of off the top of my head is Queen's Gambit which was released during lockdown so like... I can't even really count it as a success in this particular regard due to the circumstances.
Seeing if I can one up Son of Kong with a worse movie tonight
||Disney's Home on the Range||
lots of trashy horror movies on netflix
Yeah this sucks as much as I vaguely remembered
Might be the nadir of Disney animation
But I haven't watched Wish yet
https://x.com/oricon/status/1988064931749777852?s=46 the GOAT tatsuya nakadai has passed away

I just prefer watching all of a show as much as I can at once
I don't particularly like waiting on things, it's why I let One Piece get ahead about 10 chapters at a time
NO
You can for sure have your preferences, but jojos Fridays was a thing. There was so much motion behind weekly releases. Hell look at severance. It was talk about weekly and people were losing their minds. With it was the same with jojos back in the 2010s. Netflix binge killed all of that
netflix doesn't understand the anime community
While I respect this and acknowledge it
I think the way I consume media and it being a mostly isolated thing for me lends itself more to the binge vs weekly deal
Yeah pretty much
but it should be released weekly
I can agree

jojo also has a community that is built on memes. Weekly format allows for memes to gain traction. Release everything in batches and no individual moments gain attention
people also have to wait til they have "time" to binge
and watch at their own pace
it becomes a show where you might say "oh yeah I watched some of it. Yeah its been good" "Or really? I binged and loved it"
Fair enough makes sense
I wont ever argue against weekly release only because it's super easy for me to just
Wait
And then binge
ye
Ive got a friend that does the same for every series
That and I typically dont engage with weekly discussions on any media
sometimes even waits for entire series to end
To put it quickly, I was really disappointed in JJK, but I am glad to have read it
Dont know if I'll ever do it again
reading a series I love weekly and interacting with others that do so does help elevate my appreciation of a series.
Conversations that get me to reread a section to remind myself, picking up on new things, being made aware of things even I didnt pick up on initially
etc
While I def appreciate that aspect
I am very much a late game kind of person. I like to find things way later, after the hype has died down, then consume it, then read forums and stuff
And kinda think on it at my own pace
I think I got a bit burnt out from weekly conversations when I was keeping up with OP weekly. It felt like I wasnt able to let the chapter digest when I was always talking about it but that's me
reading series from 2005 and then finding message boards/forum posts about the series is so funny because of how people used to talk about anime/manga back then
they'd like, piecemeal give a summary and then add ":3 oooo cute" after it
like little comments
LOL
applies to media in general I just happen to read manga/watch anime so its my frame of reference into the topic
we're not discussing details
All media was just consumed and talked about so much differently in those time periods
People had different lives and delivery methods of whatever content it was. Streaming and the like has really changed everything
I'll add my Western angle id rather just weekly
everything should be weekly
Binge is fine so long as its after its all dropped
From a western angle, I pick up my comics weekly, but I am sitting on about 2 Absolute Batmans rn
Probably will wait til around 15
To start up again
15 having 5 extra pages
Is gonna be fun
But thats why they delayed it i believe
Wait no 14
I am reading Spiderman Torn as well as Matt Fraction Batman but I am giving those more issues
Yeh
14
15 isnt for a while
But that's kinda the point for me. I like longer stretches of story to read
Manhunter is on a break isnt it
Coming back this next month
I believe
Saw the covers
Absolutely peak
Id say jump now
First arc for marrian and gl is done
Martian*
I am just waiting for the graphic novels on those
Current stuff coming is new arc stuff
Superman is ending his arc
By next issue
Then its a new one
I like the hardcover trades for all of em but I only have Absolute Batman on my pull list for the Absolute Uni
Its good but funny enough slowest one
I really want hardcover for martian
Absolute Flash ||what no speed force does to a dude||
Absolute flash latest ||you get omega force instead 🥰 ||
Yeh I plan on the hardcover trades for all the absolute line
Which isn't usual for me. Id usually wait for Omnis
It'll be worth it for this line
Oh 100%
As much as I love omnis, this line is too good to wait years for
and I dont wanna drop 100 bones rn
X-Men released their 90s blue and gold omni
150 bucks
I’m glad you agree
It’s crazy how it legit killed jojos
It was the biggest anime for awhile there
Then Netflix took over
yeah and as a part 6 detractor, I don't even think it has anything to do with the quality
and part 4's production quality was similarly shoddy so its not about that either
The distribution model was cheeks yeah
Stranger Things release schedule fucks me up still lmao
oh they really milking this shit huh
so buns 💔
they really tryna ruin the whole winter break 💔
Farming subscriptions
My fucking GOAT
Human Condition trilogy is a must watch
Finished Way Station
||It kinda managed to get the final act right ||
I was annoyed that || They brought a pursuit and kill sort of event in final arc, for a kind of forced quick rising action, but it tied to Lucy and Talisman and just about anything so cleanly and yet without feeling forced even tho it was tied so cleanly ||
Also of || getting Lucy as part of Peace Conference Delegation, which first got me like 'really?', but which again works because of Secretary already being aware of Alien body and Enoch and now Earth being part of Galactic Central ||
|| Final chapter with Mary, and final goodbyes was also pretty good. Been thinking about it and can't find what didn't work for me. There's this sense of wrongness or like lack of finesse in the execution for me in that, but I can't identify exactly what it lacked. It was still a good point to end on, connecting Mary and the pyramid and final goodbye to the past, beginning a new chapter and letting go of one he was clutching to for long, even if he didn't realize it ||
Ending up at a solid 4.25/5
So fucking good
This is one of my favorite novels ever for a reason
@sage remnant there is a rumour on a guest for the Christmas special filming for next year 👀

Really random but boomhower. Mentioned this book randomly in king of the hill if you didn't catch it you would completely miss it
Arcane was 3 episodes weekly
And also the series eas designed around it
Welcome to Derry ep3 ||Awwww damn I keep forgetting about the Black Spot. And yeah, you're right, I bet that the new hangout he asked for near the end will be the Black Spot. Oh nooooo........
||
Welcome to derry ep 3 ||it was a great episode but letting it digest that cemetery chase was not it. The guy they got to play dick was prefect though. And it's coming together well in that aspect. But remember will's dad dies in the fire, holleran saves will in the book.||

WTD ep 3 - || interesting world building episode for sure, one thing that's interesting is Francis said he forgot her 15 years ago or did I hear that correct because let say give or take he's in his 60s. Wouldn't he have seen penny wise and that girl maybe like 50-55 years ago ? 15 years is relatively recent ||
Wtd IT ep 3 ||Lucy Will is Mike's fucking dad he's got super plot armor lmao.||
