There are certain runs where I would recommend starting at the beginning of the specific writers tenure on the book or with the beginning of a story, but mostly its just reading what seems interesting to you and finding the story they are referencing if you are ever confused and want to know more

If you are ever interested in Marvel, Ive found the podcast My Marvelous Year to be really fulfilling to read along with if you can handle older comics

Mistborn TFE ch 24 + MISTBORN TFE END/Edgedancer || Also Terris powers. Sooo Preservation is another Shard in Mistborn, since this magic system is about preserving stuff in metals. (I only knew about Ruin as he's the only one mentioned in Stormlight)

I wonder why metals specifically. I remember Wyndle saying "There's a relationship between our powers when condensed and metal" or smth like that. Maybe just different state of matters/forms investiture can come in? Liquid, solid, light idk. Even in this readthrough of Mistborn I can't understand what Wyndle meant by that||

Also Mistborn book 1 || Brandon should have made Era 1 a cyberpunk setting. Like have skaa Mistborns and Mistings and have technological development where group of skaa are used as batteries and devices. Like Controlled Steelpushing and ironpulling by subjugated skaa who are controlled by Lord Ruler Corp's Atium chips

Mistborn chapter 25 ||finished part 3. Chapters 24/25 are the best so far. Chapter 24 was great because vin and the crew had the most synergy they’ve ever had. Just full of joy and vin finally accepting Kelsiers word, contrasted with the worst news they’ve heard yet. I was waiting for something like that too since the plan was going too well. And chapter 25 because of kelsiers internal battle, and the conversation with mennis, and mennis coming back in general. From the prologue plot point. Kelsier forcing himself to smile and referencing the prologue yet again||

Mistborn chapter 27 ||I was literally about to ask about the 9th metal when vin finally asked what I was thinking. Also the execution was chilling and Kelsier speech during it was great. He really is the goat. I’m hoping vin can convince Elend somehow. I also have a mini theory. The lord ruler describes the deepness as sapien and evil and terrible, and be seemed ok during these logbook entries. Based off Vins pondering wag earlier on whether or not he actually beat it, I think the lord ruler actually may have absorbed the deepness rather than actually defeat it, and it corrupted him||

I have only listened to stormlight, but it scratches the speculation/theorizing itch I have since he reveals things so slowly and cryptically. Holy crap dude the payout in books 1 and 3 though when I got to the end was massive.

Power system wise, I’ll also speak on the ending, but I think it’s good that it’s being expanded and it makes sense that our view on it has been so limited. So I’m excited to see what it turns into. Character wise it worked so so much. Kelsier has either directly or indirectly helped Vin grow and be stable and for Vin to return the favor was great. She was the only one that could have provided him comfort on that level. Their relationship was really well done and my favorite thing from the book. And it brought their discussion about love and trust back, and it eventually concluded with kelsier saving Elends life.||

Mistborn tfe end ||the breakdown she had after kelsier died and getting mad at everyone leaving her, contrasted with her joy when Elena returned was great. And I actually liked the twist with the lord ruler actually being Rashek. Makes me wonder if we will learn what will happen and makes me more interested||

Also my OP theory was nothing much. Just that Imu and their immortality/bestowed immortality is like Rashek and his immortality. Being like Rashek as in being a oppressed turned oppressor who was at a point part of the hero's (Joyboy's) squad and had betrayed them. Immortality part being about the counter being hidden through obscurity, like his Immortality is just pulling out the metalmind that contains age, but through hiding about Feruchemy and him being a Feruchemist, he got immortality ||
