Finished Creed ||Clearly, this is a different beast. The main character is a different character, the cinematography with fights is more dramatic, and the story is more about the boxing training than other Rocky films. The final fight was impressive in its directing for sure. This should be something I like a lot now that boxing is a central focus.||

||But IDK, I feel like this was lacking something that prevented me from really enjoying this. I felt this film leaned too much on Rocky and the callbacks that it doesn't give proper time for Adonis to shine. The drama with Adonis and his girlfriend is meh and a romance typical of what I see in modern movies. It's just not as specially crafted of a romance as Rocky/Adrian. Rocky didn't feel the same in characterization, he felt like a different person entirely with how he interacts and coaches Adonis in a more rough manner. ||

||And Adonis, despite coming from a rougher childhood with the youth detention center scene, is characterized with a more chill/kind personality that leaned a little too similarly to younger Rocky that I couldn't find him stand out. He does get beefy with people that jump on him with insults, unlike Rocky, but overall, I just didn't find him intriguing enough for me to care about his personal conflict with his Apollo Creed legacy and his boxing improvements.||

||I came into Creed with somewhat higher expectations. The movie's story ideas is really good on paper, but feels half-baked in execution because the Adonis character drama is uninteresting. I'll still watch the sequels, but so far, I am unimpressed. ||

Severance S2 Finale ||What an episode and season. Going to miss having this show weekly for a while.

I’m convinced that a Glasgow Block was used to bring Helena in to sabotage the plan. Seems like the only option Lumon had.

Despite how frustrating it was to watch Mark S. turn back and leave Gemma, I gotta admit genius when I see it. The whole idea of the outies having all the control over the innies is being flipped on its head in a really brutal way lol.||

Finished Creed II ||I'm astounded. I did have to adjust myself and stomach how the Creed, Creed's relationship with his girlfriend, and Rocky was handled in Creed I, but I gave this movie a shot, and surprisingly, I liked Creed II way more than I. The dramatic conflict of Adonis fighting the son of Ivan Drago, whose father killed Adonis' father decades actually gripped me. I cared about Creed, his parenthood, and Rocky this time (Rocky seems more like himself in this movie to me). The story was executed very well and the fights/training montages were emotional and hype. ||

||All these characters' development built up around the themes of parenthood and family legacy. And most importantly, overcoming the obstacles around you to improve yourself and move forward. This movie gave Creed the standout development that I thought he lacked from the first movie. This movie made something substantial out of my least favorite Rocky movie IV (of which I disliked because of the writing decision to kill Apollo) and used it to close a chapter for both Creed's character and Apollo's legacy phenomenally. I liked Creed II more than Rocky V and even Rocky II.||

I'll be seeing 8 1/2 next.

Finished Mickey 17 ||I really liked this. I felt so much pain through Mickey's abuse of being an expendable. He's an intriguing and easy to get attached to. I wanted to see him escape that abuse and take down the stupid and selfish Marshall and save the creepers from that stupid man's plan of extermination. Mickey and creepers are two sides of the same coin, and themes on both the harm of environmentalism and human abuse are emphasized in the story in such a strong, fun, and original way with the doppelganger plot. I loved the dark humor sprinkled in throughout the clone shenanigans and how the climax was done with humans and creepers coming together in harmony. This is probably my favorite Bong Joon Ho film I seen so far.||

Ishar's experiments have definitely left me curious, and I did not expect the Taravangian twist at all. And I love that Shallan started a war with a god more or less. Eshonai's final chapter was very beautiful. And Wit being fucked over by the new Taravangian-Odium is interesting (how will this impact Jasnah?). Spren may soon be rejoining with the Singers? This new El character? Finished Creed III ||One thing I give positive props to this movie is the creativity in the fighting cinematography. Reading the interview on how anime inspired Jordan in his directorial debut and watching the movie, I appreciated it a lot. I wanna see this in future Creed movies. ||

||The story and writing was off for me though. The ideas here are good on paper with the cranky childhood friend who does deceitful tactics to win boxing matches and how Creed overcomes the troubles of raising a kid, but I felt the execution of these plotlines were kinda half-baked and not well intertwined. Some build up and events just felt missing that prevented the climax from feeling so hype and emotional as the climax in Creed II. ||

||Dame didn't feel like an intimidating and powerful opponent. There wasn't enough time put into Adonis' and his kid's relaionship to make the parenthood theme apparent. This movie tried a lot of interesting things in a half-baked way, but it's still overall a fine movie. I wanted to see something amazing, emotional, and cohesive like Creed II was, but it wasn't that. ||

Finished Autumn Sonata ||This movie reminds me why I don't wanna have kids while having a creative career. Such consequences lead to this story, where a daughter goes in-depth on why her mother was a piece of shit in the most natural way possible.
