Mario Movie thoughts. Spoilers ||Very much enjoyed the movie with all the references I could spit as a Nintendo fan. It’s mostly just a fun turn your brain off movie with little character depth, which I’m fine with, cause the actors make this movie fun to watch. Only thing that bugged me was how Luigi was able to use power ups easily despite him being caged in Bowser’s castle the whole way all the way to Brooklyn. Made no sense, but it was phoned in for the fun climax I suppose.||

mario movie ||it’s a love letter to mario games and mario fans. i wish the powerups were integrated in a slightly more fluid way but the comedy surrounding them was pretty good by illumination’s standards, and i don’t really have any story critiques besides peach almost immediately being ready to help mario despite him being a stranger lol||
