Yeah have read both. Airframe is lot more grounded and is more of a mystery/thriller than a sci-fi. State of fear is pretty good, blends sci-fi with real world well and but is also more heavily leaning into thriller than sci-fi.

Finished Wakanda Forever and I obviously loved it. I went with my brother who doesn’t watch MCU and hasn’t seen a single trailer. He actually ended up liking it more than I did. There were some things I was prepared for and some things I genuinely was not. For the most part I understand things from both praising and critical reviews. But I still need to break this down. But overrall I left this movie feel extremely satisfied and regards to the “best case scenario” sequence I was able to come up with in my head. It could not have been better executed

Wakanda forever || and the fact they did this introducing Talokan where there’s a whole new culture of people “fighting for the same thing” it just really feels human… all the superpower stuff is so secondary to me with these stories ||

black panther 2 ||my favourite aspect of the movie was how they repurposed namor's rage into a very real indigenous spin to it, by far the most radical reinvention of a comic character in the MCU. Tenoch Huerta adds so much to Namor which alongside Killmonger in the first one just shows how crimes against indigenous people manifested into rage and anger that prompts radical actions, its a great motivation for Namor to want revenge and to want retribution which the comics seemingly does not have the depth of||

Wakanda Forever || though I agree Namor was incredible. This movie could not have been done if they hadn't already casted Angela Bassett for this role. Like they would've had to recast TChala... cause the power we know she's capable of, when she got casted for this role. She was supposed to be the passive queen and mother to BP. But when Chadwick died (which no one could've anticipated) we were really lucky to already have her to fall into this natural queen role and deliver the powerhouse performance we got.. if we didn't have that already in place, I dont think it would've worked ||
