i tend to believe that there are 2 kind of giants, Elbaf Giants and Onigashima Oni, Demon Giants and both of them fought against each other since ancient time.
since Elbaf arc supposed to be inspired by Nordic Mythology.
in nordic mythology there were 2 races of people who were each other enemy, the first one Asgardians, role by Odin, King of the nordic gods.
and the "Ice Giants" roled by their King.
both were associated in one piece with Elbaf Giants and Oni's
