like what take pictures?
probably more like do paces for measurement and take notes on topography
or she could just teach someone basic surveying and cartography skills to mock her up a rough map draft
... if you think that's fulfilling
like Robin teaching someone to read Poneglyphs and then telling her what they read
like Franky just seeing a pic of the Sunny in the ends of the world
like someone else beating the Yonko and making a path for Luffy to follow, making Luffy the first to step on Laugh Tale
like Chopper getting a team of researchers to find the cure for almost everything, then he adds the cure for the common cold on top of it
so she can grow orange every day? that pretty boring story
her dream is too draw a perfect world map, not too visit laugh tale
When will She finish her dream though? It's hard to believe She will visit every island
Maybe She goes to the moon and sees the whole world from there
Kek I made a theory about Laugh Tale in the map
Basically, Laugh Tale resides on Grand Line with no magnetic field so no Log Poses can reach it (Stampede is non-canon)
So Laugh Tale is basically that one point in Grand Line sea that are hard to pinpoint due to normal compass not working, pretty much like Knock-up Stream back at Jaya, where SH need to get a South Bird to reach it.
4 points are points where Log Poses can point to, and using those 4 points, one can go to its intersection regardless of the weirdness of Grand Line ocean weather.
Interesting read
I mean of course they went against two admirals which is why they got defeated but still I think that sabo could have at least almost defeated one admiral so this sort of makes sense
Is this your theory?
What do you think he can use with the atoms?
The more I think about it the more I feel law will die
it is the road ponigliff's work to pin point the location not south bird
Brand new here. I don't know if anyone else has had this theory yet but thanks to a video I saw recently I have come up with my own theory that I haven't seen yet. If someone has come up with this theory already please let me know.
My theory is based upon rubber being turned into an eraser or more importantly Luffys devil fruit awakening being an erasing type of ability. This would explain the erasing of the void century. Meaning that Luffy would have that ability. The ability to erase everything from other devil fruit abilities to centuries of people's memories to world history. Maybe even erasing anything he wants. Which would explain why there is so much fear and why it hasn't awakened in so long. Maybe the last person to use the fruit before Luffy didn't have D in their name.
some people have theories like that but most people aren't a fan of that
the world government was already in possession of luffy's fruit for one so they would have had no reason to be shocked
nice theory but joy boy I guess had luffy's devil fruit before but erasing is not it and erasing memories is pudding's df
I also believe he can turn himself into a full giant not just an arm or leg.
Awesome. Thanks. I'll be sure to check the channel for other theories.
check ohara yt channel
Since we now know that blade could actually get stronger by turning into black blade.
Could it be possible for a sword to have grade upgrade too?
Having a theory that Zoro won't get any Supreme Grade Sword (Saijō Ō Wazamono), but instead, he will beat someone with SGS (if i have to guess probably Shodai Kitetsu or Yoru), destroy the SGS with Wado Ichimonji, Wado turn black, and level up to SGS, that would be cool. Since we all know Wado Ichimonji is more special to Zoro than any other swords.
nice theory
thanks, and i just remember by reading from wiki, that we actually have someone with Rust Rust Fruit (Shu from Marine), that's damn op, imagine if this guy become sword hunter and rusting all Grade Swords, with enough time, everyone probably being left with standard steel sword to fight with 😂
lol
He rusts yubashiri in enieslobby arc
yes
My entire history thoery, both the kozuki clan and the D clan are on equal standing they followed joyboy which is a title given to someone and rn its inherited will, minks joined with the kozuki clan as a alliance and later became buddies prolly cuz of zunesha, these these 3 characters: the d clan kozuki and joyboy together failed to bring the dawn as joyboy apologized to mermaid princess that he failed to keep his promise , they most likely lost to the world govts top ppl they prolly used the 3 god weapons to destroy all of the world and reshaped it again and then formed the world govt
The kozuki lost and isolated themselves and zunesha is apologizing to joyboy maybe and d clan got a mission to find the person owho will brin the new dawn in the later ages
Mind boggling theory man lol can you elaborate a bit more?
He did rust zoros sword once then he found shisui
What would be zunesha's crime? They failed bc zunesha for some reason betrayed them or something?
I'd guess Zunesha was actually hypnotized by Imu in order to destroy Noah to render it useless at the time. Or to do smth else. This a bit stretch but would be bc Im and Zunesha have the same eye pattern, some ppl theorized hypnosis for Im's ability
Fire
Yes i did not think of that many details but to me this looks like a solid thoery wdy think
Zunesha failed to keep a his certain part of mission and most likely is punishing himself without anyones order and fishmen were most likely a part of this war too put then joyboy let them escape through noah (could also be a reason celestial dragons discriminate them) and mermaid princess agreed to escape and are waiting for the dawn too
nice
A little conversation on the sub made me think about Yamato's character arc trajectory with comparison to other strawhats in regards to characters retaining aspects of their coping mechanisms they used to deal with their sad circumstances. Usopp lying to deal with the loneliness from the absence of his father, Nami's greed to attain freedom for her home, Sanji's grand chivalry from his mother and Reiju, Brook's jokes, etc. Yamato taking on the performance of "being Oden" and "becoming a man" may be retained to some degree if they are to become a strawhat when looking at the character construction of the crew.
I really want to see Yamato interact with the crew, she's been running around carefully avoiding every single one of them except for a brief exchange with Franky
And there she had some Bartolomeo SH fangirl vibes
The way I saw Yamato was she has identity crisis, so for her to finally accept that she is Yamato, the daughter of Kaido is the big character moment.
I see the son of kaido to turn into Yamato, one of a thousand suns. Since Jinbei's epithet is also a play on him be part of the sun pirates.
It's weird that they haven't met any of the scabbards.
Just a small observation - Sanji's chivarly coming from Sora and Reiju is a myth spread by an instagram page long ago. Sounds like a sweet idea but his chivalry comes entirely from Zeff's upbringing.
Not trying to invalidate your point tho, just pointing something
I think one could argue that the totality of chivalry is more than not hitting women and that his mom definitely helped him develop some of those values
His mom raised him to be kind to anyone in general, hence the scene in which he's feeding rats
The chivalry side definitely comes from Zeff
agreed
yes like he fed the east blue guy who was starving
No doubt that the chivalry comes from Zeff, I'm just saying that the sole respite in Germa was his mother and sister while all his male family members are abusive.
Has Sanji ever expressed how he feels about kicking Big Mom? He surely had many occasions but he didnt actually interact much with her
I'd expect him to refuse to do so, but It would be funny to hear what he has to say on the matter
After you asked me to elaborate I did some digging into all the uses of rubber and have now expanded my theory to include things like Luffy's body being able to turn into a shock absorber. Which would mean that no attack can harm him except maybe Conquerors haki but since Luffy will be able to erase things maybe he can erase that as well. Rubber is the most versatile substance on the planet and can be turned into things like erasers, molds, silicone, and can be soft, hard, sticky etc. It can be heated up to be vulcanized while remaining mailable as it's being heated. That lead me to the idea that Luffy's devil fruit awakening could include being able to copy/ create a mold of any devil fruit he has come into contact with. Such as the stickiness of mochi (heated rubber/ chewing gum) or the strings of Doflamingo (Luffy's would be rubber strings or maybe similar to spider silk??). I also Don't believe Akainu can kill Luffy as heated rubber would survive only to become a stronger material. It may only be once Luffy's devil fruit awakens but I think that's why Oda made sure Akainu wasn't able to touch Luffy in the war. A few things I believe is coming with Luffy's devil fruit is super hardness/ bounciness like golf balls/ shopping cart tires. Super stickiness like heated rubber/ chewing gum. Lastly the ability to be made into other compounds when combined with other materials such as sand, fibers, metal, glass (maybe Mira Mira no mi) etc. How many materials has Luffy come into contact with during his journeys? How many compounds can he now make without knowing it? The awakening of his devil fruit is without a doubt the one that the Gorosei worry about awakening.
I feel this is made more true by my theory of how rubber can be mixed with so many things to create new compounds and how rubber makes erasers. Meaning Luffy's devil fruit is the most dangerous in all of One Piece when awakened.
I just realized one amazing quality of rubber.... the ability to rebound. IE/ Luffy's awakened devil fruit should be able to rebound any attack from any devil fruit and non devil fruit attack.
He blocked a punch alongside Luffy. Actually hitting her, who knows.
The last piece of my theory is this. Luffy's devil fruit will not awaken until he fights with Black Beard. Black Beard will swallow Luffy's crew into his Dark-Dark fruits black hole and Luffy will respond by awakening his devil fruit and ERASING Black Beards black hole thus saving his crew in the process.
Luffy has to be more powerful before going against bb, he’s the top antagonist right now, and could be the last one in the one piece history, I believe luffy will have a lot empowers before going against anyone after kaido, remember he’s against yonkos… that’s like almost ending a top power chart inside rhe whole one piece world, there might be other devil fruit standards after the history goes on
eh
I think he'll beat kaido with a " lucky " awakening of his DF and won't be able to use it as he wants to. We might not even see it but just a shadow of it
He'll then master it vs BB and we'll see the true extent of it
Can only pray he doesn't have the ability to erase things
wait who? Luffy or BB? i sure hope you dont mean luffy bcs that would be so dissapointing
im now scared of oda making eraser of rubber df lmao
Think of it this way. Fluffy isn't always at the power level he should be when he takes on enemies. Big Mom, Kairi etc. This is why I said something will happen like Luffy and his crew either go after or accidentally run into BB and BB swallows Luffy's crew in his black hole. Basically forcing Luffy's devil fruit to awaken. Meaning it doesn't matter if he's strong enough to go against BB because his devil fruit will awaken and he'll have the power to erase BB's devil fruit power rendering him powerless to fight against Luffy.
Hahahah it put fluffy not Luffy. Kilda auto correct
Wow. Also Kairi not kaido????
Something like the two crews meet up at Laugh Tale for the final showdown.
But not on purpose
It would be disappointing for the Luffy to have this magical OP fruit that has the ability to erase things from existence. At least he didn't at the stretch thru time and space part.
I mean i can see BB getting something op fruit abilities but when there is space (kuma) and time(toki)df i always thought that bbs is Chaos df
Blackbeard is meant to be OP like that tho.
If the time fruit is just travelling to the future then that's kinda whack. Wonder who got it now...
And i mean the additional part to the Luffy awakening theory (or at least one of them) was him being able to do all of that but i know that was more trolly than anything.
I think law will give up his life to use the ultimate op-op surgery. I have no theory as to why, but with the amount they have teased it, i can't imagine it not playing a role
I think he just dies, the surgery was already done by a previous user
I think the surgery is a key part to ruling the world the way it is now. If the world is really torn apart and made anew there would be no need for his fruits ability.
isnt his fruit op ability like immortality? why is there no point in it
Another reason to kill law.
His dead would motivate the straw hats and kid.
The straw hats seeing kid die will be motivated to get stronger.
Zoro will take it hard and blame himself for not being able to finish king earlier or doing more against kaido and pushes him to really turn his blade black.
Sanji will blame himself for not using his raid suit because with it he could have beaten queen a lot easier and had enough energy to maybe help more.
Luffy will blame himself for not being stronger even though he is already strong it wasn’t enough.
Kid who fought alongside law will also feel this guilt
This will push these 2 to get pass their stubbornness and grudgingly help each other get stronger.
Kid will teach luffy awakening and luffy will teach kid acoc.
However it will be funny as both are bad at explaining how it works.
It would just be them explaining something badly and the other shouting “ what the hell does that mean !? “
But eventually they figure it out.
Kid gets acoc and hits big mom and luffy gets awakening which he uses to get way more damage on kaido
External youth not Immortality
Eternal youth = Immortality idk what you see different?
so zoro dead
You can still kill someone who is eternal young but not someone Whos immortal
any decent ideas or theories about Nika? Who is he? Relation to JoyBoy/Imu?
I think he is Joy boy (and that is one theory)
@icy stag no other series references outside of #other-series
I mean it was just an example for the comments above but alr
At this point Nika might as well be another companion of Joyboy
He was joyboy's Usopp, and like him freed slaves that worshipped him as a God
In all seriousness, right now we know nothing about even when Nika lived, or if he lived at all. The only thing you can do Is try and tie him up with other lore bits revealed in the same context, during the Onigashima raid.
So maybe Oda in this arc about leaders and followers wants to start introducing characters that belonged to Joyboy's inner circle
Immortality = nothing kills you,
Eternal age = you will never die from age.
If you get shot in the head and die your not immortal
Oda really likes sprinkling in "in the age of the dinosaurs" in everything lol
Robin will die and the voice of all things will help luffy to read the poneglyphs
Joyboy couldve been a captain and Zunesha and Nika were his crewmats.
Ryuma could’ve been too but idk when he lived
That Nika must be real powerful
Might be wrong but I belive ryuma was alive 500 years ago?
idk maybe
But if so, Toki (or whoever was the df holder at the time) could’ve sent him forward in time
idrc but it was said he lived centuries ago
Damn I rly like this idea
That would fit very nice
A lot of people think joyboy is Nika?
I've seen that Luffy has some Nika fruit before
We don't know know when exactly he was around, just a long time ago
This theory is already invalid since the bombs already went off
@raw laurel The show is setting up for kidd, law and luffy to be yonkos. BM and Kaido are/are about to be dethroned as yonkos. But you still have black beard and shanks as solidified yonkos and both will probably be until end game, so I assume either kidd or law will die and luffy and kidd/law will be official yonkos. Also Oda said in an interview that he never meant for law to be as important to the series and law is a stronger swordsman than zoro. Zoros dream is to be the greatest swordsman but he can’t do that with law in the picture because laws sword is used directly in conjunction with his DF. I doubt law will make it to end game. Just a theory and I could be wrong, but only time will tell.
One went off the rest didn’t
Very good point.
Law has to die over kid because kid isn’t as impactful to us and kid was planned from the start, he was the only supernova and was suppose to be luffys rival but oda created the others at the last moment.
You might be on to something
Hopefully not
I’ve seen a theory that luffys gears are related to a combustion engine. You have intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. I can’t unsee it.
Gear 3 , gear ? , gear 2, gear ????
i keep thinking this may be the case. imu use to be part of joy boys crew. so was nika and others. crew had split up though
Just to have it written here
I could imagine Nika being from Choppers ts Island, they have the same eye on their shoulder like Whos who (nr 1 Nika fanboy) in his chest and they also look like Nika After lockdown 😂
maybe law will do the immortality surgery on Zoro
Or he might not use it at all. Maybe there's a secret to reverse it on someone from a current user without his own death.. But he is a D so...
Who’s Nika?
Sungod who Whos who told us from
Any spoilers or early release for 1041?
Not the place to ask.
I think that oars at marineford was being sold as a slave on God valley, Rocks wanted to get all the powerful slaves
And celestial dragons don't eat devil fruits so there couldn't have been fruits on the island
And the reason why Garp had to intervene was because it has been stated by big mom that if she took control of the giants she could rule the world and so allowing the giants to be slaves would be better than rocks becoming more powerful and taking over the world
And it's a popular theory (I think) that whitebeard betrayed the rocks pirates on God valley to team up and defeat rocks. I think he probably saved oars which is why oars is with whitebeard
But I still wonder why the island disappeared?
ok, this time I'll ask directly. To not leave you without an answer, tuesday or wednesday as always. But I want to ask something. Why this channel? Not judging, not complaining, I'm just curious because a large amount of newcomers choose this channel to ask instead of #manga for some reason, there's nothing about this channel that suggests this is the place to ask, but people keep coming here, so I wonder why does it happen.
Either smth to do with rocks fruit? Maybe he had the quake fruit? But it doesn't make sense tho, I could see whitebeard having it when he was on the rocks pirates or rocks gifting it to him
Although whitebeard is pretty skilled with a sword
But to specifically get the quake fruit when it could have spawned anywhere around the world would be rather weird
Oh maybe the oars went to pull the continent?
The first oars was known as the continent puller right? So maybe the (fourth?) oars went to pull the island
this channel isn’t active like the others so easier to get noticed
Is it plausible?
Where is this stated though? Doffy and Rocinante did eat devil fruits, then again they're both exiled. But I don't recall being explicitly stated that they don't eat DFs
At most that they give them to slaves for amusement (which honestly is not the smartest approach
)
No I'm not saying that it's some rule or smth, it's just how it's been. So far the celestial dragons we know of generally use guns as weapons because perhaps they associate devil fruit with devils and consider themselves gods
I was just thinking because a theory I read that devil fruits were being sold or smth at god valley and I thought it wouldn't be possible
Doffy and rocinante ate their df out of poverty
Trebol gave Doffy his fruit
and Cora must have obtained his DF in the Navy
specially given he was given a spying mission
Ya so that's why I think so
so how is everyone up to
I found this theory on Facebook by fan name: safee.dovahkin
You can check on wiki "jayabaya"```
What do you guys think ?
This is not a long theory but I believe the final ponygliff will be at God's valley, or on the remnants of God's valley, thats how roger had a brief idea of where it was in the flashback, and the straw hat's way of finding it would be brook who was alive and knew about places before the island crashed.
Is momonosuke Uranus??
and Vivi is pluton??
Luffy is uranus
Nami is Uranus @lunar topaz
Chopper is Uranus
Everyone is thinking about law dying, robin, zoro, sanji, etc. What about Yamato, she was just introduced and might be a sacrifice character just like pedro, she loves luffy, shés like a bartho but male
@fading sierra @vapid minnow @lunar topaz @weak finch @silk ocean This is not the channel.
a what
I was being serious, idk about everyone else
no me too
A post that is "X is Uranus" is not going to spark any discussion. Please explain why you believe so. Otherwise, it's more fit for #manga or #also-manga
imu was picking up vivi's photo at reverie
second polnegryph in alabasta
and momo can command zunisha
Right but Momo speaking to Zunesha doesn’t exclusively mean Uranus
no i mean he can command it which basically like commanding an island 💀 since zunisha's body
yeah he command it but there can be either factors than labelling it Uranus. It sounds lazy imo, don’t think that’s what the deal is with Momo and Zunesha
how about vivi tho
Vivi’s mom is on Kuma’s bible
and second polnegryph in alabasta and WHAT?
so there is some kind of ancient connection there
look at Kuma’s bible and the photo of Vivi’s mom. They’re identical
can you show me
I think that "x person is Uranus/Pluton" is a case of making theories based on the very last thing we saw.
In this case the last thing we saw was Poseidon being a person, therefore people start thinking the other two must also be people.
But imo that's missing the point of why learning that Poseidon was a person was so cool in the first place. It was unexpected, we didn't know that was a possibility.
Surely if the other Ancient Weapons reveals are to be as cool as Poseidon's, they will have to be surprising as well.
Yeah bro
Same thing about "Uranus has the power to control Zunesha" and stuff like that. Those feel really short-sighted to me
Are there any chance it might be a devil fruit??
Well one of the most common theories that existed for uranus prior to the zunesha chapter was it was dragon's devil fruit.
Oh yeah since Uranus is a god Capable to control wind and weather
Yeah I'm very on board with Uranus being something to do with the weather. Even if it's not a Devil Fruit it can be something in Dragon's possession
and I think second polnegryph in alabasta was about uranus or idk
the what now
I don't know it could probably be some other deep lore too 👀
No but what second poneglyph
Vivi can be translated as Bibi
Bibi as in Bible
Damn
There’s also a sun behind the woman in Kuma’s bible
Yo what's this from ?
that’s filler
NOOOOOO

filler really ruined it but I think oda won't add this important thing as a filler like it's a polnegrpyh
reach
big mom hasnt been defeaten properly she just got taken out of the battle but she was still able to keep fighting
if BM is still battle ready she might as well just fly back up to Onigashima with a homie as soon as she lands. I think she will be out for the count for a little while
#manga-theories message
@narrow ether read this
what does "serious theories" mean
It means we want people to put genuine effort and thought into crafting theories in this channel
Don't want people joking or making low effort attempts in here
@pure raven
I think aokiji is actually being a spy on BBs crew...since akainu tells the gorosei not to worry about him...and BB might soon figure this out and prolly kill him...and koby might get his DF....cuz idts he s getting CoC..
hoping next chapter is lit, yuderon said there was a pun on joyboy for 1041 but he always stretches shit. would be lit tho
Let’s not use this channel for idle conversation please. The topic of a theory is not sufficient, it also needs to be a developed idea with effort
Thoughts on law dying ?
there is the checkovs gun that we were introduced to laws fruit being used to grant eternal youth and killing the user. Oda will need to make use of that somehow. So there is a good chance law dies, but if not there will need to be a plot point of law possibly dying and then somehow not dying
law did save luffys life for some unknown reason after marineford. did we ever get an explanation as to laws morivation for doing so?
There’s actually 2 Chekhov’s gun and one of them is always forgotten.
When law was in punk hazard he was using his room on and off to teleport and chopper says, “ why don’t you make a giant room and just teleport where you want to go in one move instead of doing it little by little “
Law says “ my powers work off of my life force if I make it to big I could use up my life force to quickly and die “
He has been doing this in this fight and is beyond the brink of exhaustion and I think something goes wrong and the bombs start to explode and law uses his room to cover all of onigashima and parts of wano or zunisha and he teleports everyone off on the island onto safe ground and doing so will be beyond his limits and that drains his life force and that’s what kills him
Cp0 fails to capture robin but they steal the fruit instead
i think your hypothetical scenario is possible and would make for good drama. also people who complained about characters not dying would be proven completely wrong because instead of some minor character nobody really cares about its a character that everyone is attached to
Exactly it’s the ultimate fake out just like Ace.
And it explains why law is getting all these great moments. Oda is really hyping law up he carried the fight with big mom and even made big mom panic in terror.
Even when they passed out kid fell on his back while law was just sitting there acting cool while unconscious.
and then we see the other checkovs gun of the ope ope no mi used later by the WG having it. although it might be more dramatic for blackbeard to get it
Well I don’t think we need to see it being used because we already seen the affects. Imu could be the result of the last immortal surgery maybe he eats the fruit and gains laws powers plus the eternal youth though I prefer if he controlled water
Is Hawkins behind the grim reaper
Evil shanks is a popular theory, and as many popular things, it's garbage
He has weird connections but his actions throughout the story don't line up with a secret evil character with a secret evil plan.
Yeah I agree with what you said
Just FYI, if there is some sort of leak (there isn't right now), we don't allow it anywhere other than the spoiler channel. Not in the theories channel
Aight, but I am not sure that legit leak
Could you please edit out that image just in case?
Sure bro
It’s 100% fake, no leaks are out yet. Won’t get anything real til Tuesday
But regardless, don’t post potentially real or fake spoilers in any channel
send it to me the image
I think as valuable as robin is to finding the one piece, the WG will try to kill/capture her. The straw hats won’t be too pleased with this. If she does die, I think the voice of all things will guide luffy. Apparently Roger could hear the voice of all things very frequently but it has only spoke to luffy a few times
There is a theory that Shanks is the child of one of the celestial dragons
He has some kind of connection to the WG because they allowed him to speak to the nobles
I prefer the idea that Shanks was a nobody that became big, you know?
The fact he stole the gomu df from the WG can only mean he's not evil. But I'd guess Shanks could be not good or evil exactly but a manipulator
Could you explain what you mean when you say stealing the devil fruit from the World Government equates to being 'not evil' ?
bro we dont know shit bout shanks. He could be depcited as someone good for 20 years 💀 but then turns out to be a whole asshole and new person we have never seen.
Sorry if it puts you on the spot, I am just not sure how doing so equals to being seen as not evil.
just because he stole the fruit just makes him a good pirate. It doesnt mean anything else like him being good minded
Yea weird statement of mine. But I tried to imply this: now that we know a bit more, we could assume gomu df is somewhat special and that it's meaningful to the WG. Then Shanks steals it from them, which would be quite a damage. Meaning that at least he's not as wicked or smth
Then I said this could as well be a manipulation move of Shanks, not necessarily righteously intended
I see where you are coming from, but if the Gomu was so important to the World Government, wouldn't the elders of shown some sort of anger towards Shanks when he faced them? I feel like the whole thing with the Gomu is a red herring, or atleast that's my personal opinion.
Yes. But I think this anger prob either exist but isn't really shown exactly why they said Shanks is a special one (sorta meaning they can't afford be against him or confronting), or they did confront over that but the conflict been resolved somehow, again bc Shanks is special
All this about Shanks is speculation we really know Jack shit
Fair enough. My personal want is that Shanks was a nobody who grew up, learned a lot and became strong, witnessed the growth of his Captain becoming the King of the Pirates, and then sees Luffy as the next coming and is simply trying to make the world a better place for Luffy to assume the metaphorical throne.
I feel like if Shanks vs Luffy ever happens it is not going to be because Shanks is evil, but to make Luffy prove to him he deserves it or something along those lines.
How do you explain his relationship to the Gorosei through?
I think a lot of people think shanks is some sort of gatekeeper
I can't remember what he's gatekeeping tho? Maybe testing to see if Luffy is strong enough
Him meeting and having a good relationship with the Gorosei doesn't contradict being a nobody that made it.
Could be seen as them recognizing his feats and how important he has become through his own journey.
Nah I think the most popular theory is that he's the son of some celestial dragon
Or that he's the son of rocks
I get that is the most popular theory, I simply choose to not want to believe that.
Ya I know I'm just saying
A lot of people use roger saying that he hasn't held a baby for so long as a reason for shanks being rock's son which I don't really understand because that can just be a general statement and I think people are reading too much into it
The theory I really love is that Dragon isn't Garp's son.
I don't know why but when I first knew about shanks I always thought he was a d? Like when we realised d has something more to it I always thought he was a d
Hm I never really understood that tho
Like why? Why would there be a reason for dragon not to be garp's son
How so? He looks nothing like Garp, whereas Luffy is drawn to look exactly like him (in the aged confirmed pictures) and Garp never once refers to him as his son, just Luffy's father.
The theory is that the biological child of Garp is Luffy's mother, and Dragon is Rock's son who took on the Monkey last name to erase Rocks further.
Cause Dragon does sorta kinda look like Dragon?
There is none
The hair of dragon looking similar to rocks?
There is no real main proof, just a lot of things that line up if you lay down and squint
I mean you can argue that ace looks nothing like roger
Garp looks a lot like Luffy and even other characters (Don Chinjao and Akainu) have stated that he’s Dragon’s son
Yeah you could, but that's the cool thing about theories you know
No if I remember correctly the theory is based of dragon not being explicitly stated as garp's son, only luffy's father
I do have a headcanon that would be really cool if true
Share it here, I'll give it a read
^^ 😄
There’s a tell for people that had the immortality operation on them, and it’s found in the eyes gaining rings on them. Notice how Imu, Zunesha, and Mihawk have the same eyes? I bet they got operated on with the Op-Op fruit
Imu sits on the empty throne, Zunesha is literally Joyboy’s companion, and Mihawk having immortality would totally fit with his vampire design
Hm so it would have to be the previous user of the op op fruit yes? Like the immediate previous user before law
Yeah
Wow that makes sense
I think a lot of people might not agree with mihawk being immortal tho
Actually, that would explain his attitude towards fighting
finding almost everything boring, then Shanks came about got happy to fight again and then with Shanks losing his arm, his excitement died again.
And it would explain why he is so fine with training Zoro to overtake him, he is an immortal powerful swordsman.
Mihawk might be immortal due to the operation, but he’s basically still in his 40’s and probably isn’t lying about his age unlike Bonney
Why would Mihawk be immortal
People can get bored in a normal life
Especially when you're already so far ahead of everyone on the planet
- Would fit his vampire theme (since they tend to last long)
- Would explain why he has ringed eyes
You don't need to be an immortal vampire for that
Ringed eyes mean nothing
Some characters just get them in suspenseful moments
Of course of course, but it’s still notable that Mihawk gained his epithet from his hawk eyes
Ringed eyes also aren't an indication of immortality
I never really understood immortality because I always thought it meant you couldn't die but stories usually mean immorality as eternal youth
It’s a headcanon after all, not absolute fact
Or at least you can't die unless of external circumstances which doesn't even mean immortality I think
Yes which means i can argue against it
Headcanon doesn't give you an immunity against counter arguments
It’s like how people automatically assume the straw hat in Mariejois is actually Joyboys
But that would mean that mihawk would have had the operation performed on him at a young age
No other series spoilers here please
For fictional stories, immortality = "won't die naturally and is really hard to kill" will usually work out better. Truly indestructible character will mess up any story if they take an active part in it.
Because if you see mihawk as a kid, he already had those eyes
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking
literally not a spoiler what?
It would make for a depressing backstory too
It was an example of something that was release 11 years ago?
Anything outside the name of the main character of another series cannot be said anywhere outside of #other-series
Ya that is true thanks
People always get into Naruto
Bro it had context, I wasn't just pulling it randomly
I am aware
And still, you can't talk about other series outside of #other-series
And even then, you have to use spoiler tags
Let me understand this completely, if I want to reference something that may have a great example in something outside of One Piece, I have to derail this conversation and put it in the other series area (in a spoiler even if it has been out for over a decade) and tell people in here to look in that chat, before returning to the conversation at hand? Just not wanting to get in trouble further.
I feel that even if those eyes don't mean immorality, they have some sort of significance
Yes Monke
Aight, anyway
the point I was making was, I see immortality as a 'body and soul cannot die' - so you can cut up the body and burn it, but it still is alive
so headless man go walkabout finding head comedy ensues, haha - sort of deal, ya know?
I have another theory which is a bit of a stretch but I believe in it nonetheless: All the Ancient Weapons are organic/alive
Isn't one literally a ship made by Frankie's mentor? literally going mind blank on the fishmans name...
Nah
The ship was a counter to the actual Pluton
Which is somewhere in Alabasta
It isn't actually the ancient weapon
The only ancient weapon we’ve seen is Shirahoshi, and she’s a living creature
bruh imagine if that giant crocadile was pluton
I bet Pluton is related to the Klabautermann, considering it’s one of the most magical aspects of One Piece and even manifested in the Going Merry
Pluton isn't a ship
Klabauttermann isn’t a ship
Tom I think
Oh is that the uh, magical spirit thing that spoke to God Usopp?
There’s even theories going about that Momonosuke is Uranus
Isn't it?
Well it could be I guess
Kuma is bonney son
But we don't know anything about it
I thought Franky threw away the blueprints
We just know that it's somewhere in Alabasta
He burned them
And that the blueprints Franky had were made to counter the actual weapon
Or like burned the plans for it?
He burned the blueprints
Really? I thought it was pluton blueprints
Nah
Well
I need to make sure actually
But I think the blueprints were for a different thing made to counter Pluton
But again, I could be wrong
So reread it yourself to make sure
Pluton is one of the three Ancient Weapons, alongside Poseidon and Uranus. Pluton is a highly advanced warship capable of mass destruction, labelled the World's Worst Battleship (世界最悪の戦艦 Sekai Saiaku no Senkan?).[1][2] It was constructed long ago in the city of Water 7 in the Grand Line.[3][4] The battleship is capable of destroying whole islands in a single shot and is said to sleep somewhere in Arabasta Kingdom.[5] Pluton was first mentioned by Crocodile when he questioned Nefertari Cobra of its whereabouts.[6] Direct from the Wiki.
Oh so it was pluton
All good, we are talking about thousand chapters, it was so far to the front
Yeah u are right. I’m tryna find what chapters these panels were from.
It’s mostly from chapter 399
I think he’s joyboy
This is an interesting connection
To add to your point: in the language that most people associate with the Bible bar Latin, which is Hebrew, the names "Vivi" and "Bibi" can be written identical. Nefertari also stems from the egyptian "men nefer", which means "eternal beauty" and can be linked to "medu nefer", which means a just and honest speech coming from the inside. This you can then link to the Hebrew term "neder", which translates to "vow" or "promise", mostly to a god. Which is exactly what the Nefertari family thought they did until Robin came along, Cobra was convinced his ancestors made a vow to the CDs to protect Pluton
This would be a strech if it wasn't for Arabasta to be so blatantly based on Egypt, and this culture overlapped with the Jewish culture for quite some time historically
Hello here
Here’s my theory on what the ssg is, tell me what you think
That would be interesting
Definitely a good twist but the only thing we got is because he said so it seems I am needed when he read the diary right?
No there’s a bit more. Oda said that luffy isn’t the main character of wano and the fact zunisha is a member of joyboy crew yet he only follows orders from momo
shanks purposely stole the gum gum fruit and knew luffy would eat it
I don’t think so
If Usopps lies really do come true then he wont be a part of the weakling trio anymore. in Post timeskip saboady he said so
that wasn't a lie
it was
he was just hoping and admitting himself to get stronger
it's not really like his other lies are but i get what you mean
k
Not doubting you but where did oda say that Luffy isn't main character of wano
In the latest sbs I think
Hm can't find anything
his lies are the giant goldfish, fighting giants etc those kind of lies him lifting his own spirits started since we met him
Chapter of that pic? Wat is ssg?
2 theories on lafayette
1)He is a lunarian and use make up to live in full light thats why he is so white
2) he ate pegasus pegasus zoan df.
2nd one is way more likely, a lunarian (from what King shown us) needs to have fire on their back. There’s no way of hiding it unless they purposely out it out.
Ssg is a scientific research group aimed at replacing the warlord system so the marines can wage war on the yonko
They have to have white hair and dark skin and black wings.
I say he is more of a albatross df zoan
Do people consider zeus nakama?
Ig we should, but I won't
He’s like the ship. It’s nakama but it’s not part of the crew same with zues he’s a straw hat by extension like how vivi could come back and her bird would be a pet
Hi, thanks for your response.
I had some ideas as to how these were connections with Hebrew language and Egyptian culture. But to this degree assuming that’s it is tied to the vow of Alabasta’s poneglyph makes some sense. So something else that caught my attention here was that when Robin mentions what is on the Poneglyph she says that the city Kahira was conquered and if you translate the word Kahira it’s actually Cairo. And the emblem for Cairo has the depiction of the sun and more importantly 16 rays of sunlight and 16 as you may know can translate to Imu.
So in all maybe what happened is Alabasta used the Pluton to wipe out the prior civilization and now Imu is obviously beginning to target Vivi as retribution of some kind.
Aight ok, hear me out here. What if blackbeard is keeping Moria alive, and for a specific reason. We know that powerful shadows are needed for powerful body’s right? And Blackbeard’s devil fruit is dark magic/shadow based right? What if blackbeard uses Moria to revive roger
You had a decent thought until you said revive Roger. This isn't Naruto. Oda isn't trash like that. The dead stay dead.
Moria's powers are to create zombies out of the dead, so it is meaningful to suggest that the BB pirates will 'revive' some person
so zombie-Roger and Xebec could happen
although in my mind his powers are vastly more powerful when he simply steals other people's powers and stores them in himself
he might revive rocks D xebec
coz in jumpfesta oda said
he is gonna draw the biggest threat strawhats will face in their journey in 2018.
we have 2 options
1.Rocks xebec
2.Imu
and ig rocks is very well possible
Just no
Any revive theory goes straight in the bin
yeahh but he draw both of them in 2018
so both are candidates for the title of the biggest threat
...
yes, that is true. I simply meant that Im is alive and therefore probably their biggest threat
he also said that "in front of the person, the incident of marineford will be cute"
so the person is really really powerful
but I still think that Moria will reanimate someone
yeahhh that make sense
yeahhhh but idont think bb will revive roger coz it doesnt fit well tbh
the parallels are between-
LUFFY-ROGER
BLACKBEARD-ROCKS
luffy and roger are/were joyboy candidates
and bb and xebec's are straight away overpowered and cruel
and roger being dead is a good thing for the show
there cant be 2 pirate kings in one era
and the chemistry between roger and luffy is so deep
like they are connected to each other even when they havent met each other yet
so id think they will ever meet
Moria's ability doesn't truly bring anyone back to life. He can possess a body with the shadow of someone else. So Roger and Xebec would not be their normal selves in this case.
So Moria has to find a strong dead body and match it with a powerful shadow
but we still dont know if xebec really died
who knows..it may take idk
@velvet edge hello sir-
?
i am new tbh
idk how the server works
Ah well feel free to check out #old-rules and #old-channel-info to learn how the server works
ohhhh thank you so much man!!
Get a role too
#old-role-info
yeahhh i did got it!
After revisiting the interview of oda he said he “only had plans for Kidd” and that “Law surpassed his expectations and became the fan favorite.” I think Kidd will begin to become made and more important after Wano, but I’m not sure about what the future holds for Law
As I said, law dies
Looks like it
Law dies and luffy get eternality?
Nope he just dies saving everyone
So I've seen people throw around the theory at one point that Blackbeard was going to have to do smthn to become recognized as stronger than Kaido somehow so he can be a major antagonist in an arc at some point. I saw someone say he'd likely have to do something with Shanks and the Red-haired Pirates, whether that be him killing Shanks or just defeating them somehow. It occurred to me that it would be just enough to get the Straw Hats emotionally invested just enough if someone like Yassop were to get killed by Blackbeard. Not to say Shanks's death is out of the question for Luffy's fuel to get after Blackbeard. But Yassop would also get Ussop invested because his dad was dead all of a sudden. Maybe I'm just talking out my ass, but I don't think it's out of the question for someone else on Shanks's crew to be killed by Blackbeard in the future
hi
its gonna be Imu, we saw the 5 elders who are supposed to be the highest power in the world all bow down to them and ask about which "light" Imu wants to be put out
BB gonna have to get a third devil fruit for him to be considered the strongest
I think that BB will do something to become even more intimidating. I would not be super surprised if the we during the post-Wano arc will get the news that BB has attacked Shanks or something of a similar notoriety.
There is Red also. Most likely not canon, but could hint towards a BB Shanks fight that will be canon. Even has the scar across the title given to him by BB.
I think that bb will take kaido devil fruit. Because he Has logia and paramecia and Kaido's devil fruit is the strongest zoan
also yami yami no mi and gura gura no mi are one of the strongest devil fruits
This is an old theory I had which I think is a little debunked by now but for fun let’s make it anyway.
the flying 6 are all connected to characters we’ve met.
black Maria is queens daughter, she is a unusually tall woman with blond hair but also her name is based off the game black maria and Black Maria is a nickname for the Queen of clubs.
whos who is lucci brother - the idea was that behind the mask was a man who looked similar to lucci, they were both child prodigies of cp9.
sasaki was chimney fatjer. This one a lot of people saw, his hat looks like a train conductors hat, he had a drinking problem, his face is similarly shaped like the old gran and he seems to be part fishman And his hair colour matched them exactly
page 1 and Ulti are the children of captain John.
in an sbs oda stated kaido took them in at a young age because their father died and it was someone kaido knew.
my guess is that someone was a former crew mate and since John is the only member of rocks besides whitebeard who is confirmed dead as we saw his zombie it’s possible they are his children.
whats more is a idea that I dismissed now was that they were also kid’s half brother and sister.
both John and kid seem to be inspired by captain kid.
captain kidd was known and the unluckiest pirate who was killed by his own crew.
john is not known how he was killed but it’s speculated he was shot several times in the stomach.
what makes these 2 stand out is the fact their epithets are the same.
both are called captain which is still a weird thing to call a pirate captain And the fact his name is kid is kind of on the nose.
since kid also is quick to anger like page 1 and Ulti maybe there’s something there and John abandoned him on some island and a few years later these 2 were born and he was killed.
are these connections happening ? probably not but it’s fun

I don’t think law dies for everyone or luffy, he still has his dream/goal of learning the history of his ancestry. I see brook dying tho when they clash with BB, as he can negate devil fruits and brook is only able to walk around because of his fruit when BB grabs him he will turn to ash
Im really interested in who Ryokugyū is and why he doesnt bother to eat or care. The tinfoil hat makes me wonder if hes an immortal, as in previously bestowed
Well may be he’s fed up with everything
Where did you see this interview
@solar knoll it was in a “Shueishas Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2017. Here is the fully translation.
“They are worst!! They are the worst generation, indeed.
l imagined Kid would become an important character, but...Law!! I
didn't imagine he would become such an important character.”
Oh thanks mate
Imo that theory would only make sense if we get to meet the red hair pirates first. So that luffy and shanks reignite the connection as well as ussop and yassop. Maybe the other strawhats befriend the rest of the crew.
Next nakama
Please keep this channel serious
I'd appreciate it if you just listened to me
I’m listening
Thanks
If the crews meet, luffy would return the straw hat and wouldn’t have a reason to keep it. Better if they don’t meet. More painful
But then if yassop dies there wont be as much emotional weight for ussop
Hachi
In Pythagorean numerology (a pseudoscience) the number 8 represents victory, prosperity and
overcoming. Eight (/, hachi, ya) is also considered a lucky number in Japan, but the reason is different
from that in Chinese culture. Eight gives an idea of growing prosperous, because the letter (/\ broadens
gradually.
Carrots sulong ability was introduced in chapter 888, and surprisingly in the popular poll she was ranked 8. this comes off too much of a coincidence for Carrot for Oda to not make her the next Nakama
Luffy will defo feel it but the rest of the crew wont if they dont meet before his death
Well yes
@cyan berry this theory isn't serious ^^^
Joy Boy built the Red Line (Paul Bunyan one piece theory)
1- Paul Bunyan - Giant Lumberjack USA folklore Hero
2- Popularised by William B. Laughead who worked in the Red River Lumber Company.
3- His friend was a giant blue ox (Zunesha)
4- He built USA rocky mountains (Red Line)
5- He is waiting for someone who has a D. on the name. His girlfriend name was Lucette Diana (D.) Hackensack
6- Lucette means in Italian Graceful Light and it seems to be in relation with the name Lucy (luffy's name on dressrosa colosseum)
any thoughts?
thanks
Also, Diana in kanji https://www.kanjizone.com/kanjiname.aspx?name=Diana Could mean something like Large Bright Apple tree

or evergreen tree
🤔 Also Daiana (dai) = Great
a = could also mean depression, sink, hollow (blackbeard the other meaning of the D.)
na= apple/tree (the same tool can be used to do the other thing)
Am I being crazy or does it make any sense?
I'm not sure I follow what you mean by blackbeard
Remember when whitebeard say to teach that you are not the D. Roger was looking for?
I interpret that as Teach's D. is not the same as Roger's, Luffy's, Law's ... D.
That D. means great depression (another combination of kanji's of the word Daiana, Paul Bunyan's girlfriend)
interesting
I wonder who could've been big enough to pull all those continents/islands to a certain location... 🤔🙄
I hope my theory makes any sense 😂 but if it is true I wonder why he built up the red line
I means there's the Joyboy was Oars theory.
I think Oars couldn't really move the red line
🤔 unless you have got the gomu gomu, inflate until you are a huge huge giant
maybe luffy's fruit awakening?
another thing https://sci-hub.hkvisa.net/10.2307/1496255 this is Paul Bunyan's review of his stories, can you read it through a one piece fan lenses specially pages 5-6 (final 305 and 306 of the book), I think it is eye opening (Joy Boy's laughtale and the apology/tragedy letter)
What? He's literally known as the continent puller...
The redline is a bunch of random island placed there
🤔 Unless he was strong as f... he's 67 m tall
Even in a 1000 years old you couldn't move that much earth
Because ancient giants aren't known for their strength...🙄
And he was abnormal even for ancient giants
Kahira resembling Kairo is an interesting take. I'll go check the timeline to see if we can ascertain how long "Year of Heaven 239" is before present time
I'm in for the sun symbolism and the idea that Arabasta once was an "evil" kingdom like Dressrosa under the Donquixote's before VC
However, I don't see where the connection between Imu and the number 16 is, could you elaborate?
Aside from that, I know a bit of Hebrew
So if you wanna discuss any possible translations or mythological background feel free to ask, I'll do my best
What if this week we get a big mom flashback
Wdym of her in the rocks pirates?
Maybe
I only want to point out that Oars was really short compared to the grand line (67 m)
🤔 You need someone as big as Zunesha
i would cry, but we already got big mom flashback
My theory is Pluton has the power to do it. Oars then was the pilot of Pluton
Sure. I think its unlikely but who knows
Japanese number puns, "i" being a way to read 1 and "mu" a way to read 6. Each number has multiple ways to read them depending on their position in a sentence, and the Japanese make puns with that. The reason Luffy is usually associated with the number 56, for example, is because 5 can be read as "go" and 6 as "mu" (gomu)
I usually take number puns with a grain of salt, I think fans overdo it with them. Just explaining the alleged connection
I think a lot of people think the next person with fruit will be 29?
I feel like Luffy's name is more or less a pun standing for laugh ("Luff"). Especially one of the more recent One Piece magazine volumes (Number 12) showed him specifically with his shortened name in quotation marks
It would coincide perfectly with the whole theme of laughter, joyboy being luffy, etc.
I think it's a play on the sailing term luffing
simple theory on the gomu gomu no mi: WG wanted it because it's a counter to the lightning fruit, and the quake fruit, not because its secretly actually x fruit, or because of joyboy and such
that would be pretty underwhelming
"oh it was just to beat a guy who you guys took care of 700 chapters ago"
yeah but at the same time it wouldn't be interesting if the fruit was some legendary omega powerful fruit all along, it's a lot more interesting if the fruit itself is just what it is at face value but it's luffy's use that makes it interesting more so than some secret zoan/logia stuff, and honestly i think it'd be cool if the fruit is desirable for being a counter to 2 or more of the most powerful fruits and their users in the sea
Size is irrelevant to strength or ability. Either way, Oars wasn't called a continent puller because he didn't move islands. But he's too "young" to have made the redline but there are 3 Oars in total with one we don't know depending on what you believe. With Joyboy being the first blah blah blah, Zunesha helped or didn't depending if the redline was formed as the betrayal act towards Joyboy. Mysteries, mysteries, mysteries~
well yeah, but why would Oda hype up a mystery around it and the World Government if he already got rid of the 2 reasons for it in the series
I'd like it more if it's a counter to another stronger fruit we don't know about yet, not those two.
imo it's pretty lame when characters get some incredible powerup out of nowhere late in a series because "actually your power wasnt x, it was y all along, and y is actually one of the most powerful and epic abilities ever"
to be fair he didn't, the quake quake fruit is still a threat through blackbeard, who luffy also counters one of the more powerful abilities of, since he'd probably be fine if he was pulled inside the void
itd just be lame tbh for me
it also counters a few other things like the kilo and tonne fruits, and most of the stuff that just makes people hit harder
if Oda is going the "secret power" route, i don't think it's something that will invalidate Luffy's hard work and training,
it'd be something like being to do a specific thing (something like Op Op no Mi's Immortality) which isn't connected to the user's fighting prowess
Maybe but wasn't the Redline formed when the Government was made 800 years ago?
- Having Luffy's power be a direct counter to Blaxkbeard's would lessen the stakes a lot for the eventual fight
the stakes are still there, blackbeard as an individual is still dangerous, scarring shank's eye and being able to tank ace's attacks, his general DF nullification ability is dangerous in itself, luffy just can't be instantly defeated by his fruit abilities
Is there a consensus on what the Special Science Group (SSG) is?
I feel like there's only one thing it could be
Yes that or earlier... But Pluton might have been out in the world for some time before it was hidden in Alabasta?
i just figured it was vegapunks combination of lineage factor, gigantism, cybernetics and artificial devil fruit research, some kind of mass produced army of DF-like users without the consequences of DFs
Nah, gotta be clones.
Well, whatever it is it's going to be a surprise, so not simply clones. Could certainly be part of it
i dont think it's just clones tbh, otherwise he'd be ultimately beat out by vinsmoke, who seemed to have taken that element further
i think it's gotta be some combination or we wouldnt have the setup of him working with these scientists now considered the most heinous of villains, to his own ends
I think it's heavily implied that Weevil is a clone
I believe he's a failed clone made from Whitebeard's genetic material created by the SSG
Seems more like its been hidden/"sleeps" in Alabasta since 800 years. WG would've tried to get it asap instead of using the budget Buster call version lol
Gomu Gomu no mi is the counter for the strongest/OP Logia known the Goro Goro no Mi.
It's only the strongest based on fan canon, not officially
Plus Enel gets diffed hard by most competent people with Armament Haki
well no, its pointed out by robin its one of the ones considered invincible
Enel is just dependent on his DF, if an admiral gets a hold of his DF it will be one the most OP fruit to date.
its power output is one of the highest, its strong in close quarters and in range, enel isn't really a big factor, im talking about the fruit not its user, enel himself was a strong observation haki user, and haki users themselves seem to be semi infrequent
like, yeah, he can be hit by haki but he also moves at the speed of electricity
Well i'd agree to that, but i feel like even with training, at the top level your fruit's power is secondary to your Haki ability
yeah but at the same time the fruit is far from insignificant, whitebeard was dangerous as an individual, but as a DF user he was as bad as the buster call
I disagree that anyone who gets the Goro Goro no Mi currently will have a massive power spike
Maybe i'm thinking about 1v1s rather than actual applicability in other battle situations
the goro goro no mi probably wont show up again in the main story, it's just a powerful fruit that the WG happens to be aware of, and happens to have a fruit that hard counters it even without haki
in general battle the goro goro no mi is nearly unmatched, almost no fruits have the range and coverage of it
I don't think that's necessary at all considering you can beat it with... you know, Haki.
you could argue that with most logia though, like the light fruit
just as fast as it, almost as powerful, can be easily matched by strong haki
I don't think any fruit currently merits the WG needing to find a specific counter to it
tbf i didnt mean it that way, i more meant that the WG happened to have it/find it and it's purpose as a hard counter to 2 of the most powerful fruits around makes it very valuable
someone like garp gets it and now you have haki + unmatched physical strength who is now immune to blunt force and whitebeard
Sorry, I just think Oda can write something better than that to merit the WG's interest in the Gomu Gomu no Mi
since sea stones are also a thing, I don't think the government is afraid of any fruit.
since Luffy is capable of gigantification (even if not permanently), government could set Vegapunk on that so their wish for giant soldiers could come true. but I don't think they just want it to counter a few very specific scenarios
🤔
oops, I have a theory guys and if the haki of the king of shanks is so powerful that he can make the haki like an extension of his body? to overlap the arm, just like , making it an extension of his body's . and If shanks have this ability?
Well then Shanks haki arm would be possible. But we have so many advanced Haki forms already, I think that would’ve been shown by now
But the haki in advanced mode has only come to be practically developed now, and if the shanks' haki is "unique"
Mihawk wouldn’t see a fight with shanks as illegitimate if he could make a haki arm
So it's like a phantom limb but it's will/haki based?
No way
@small creek Please keep all of the theories you make in here as serious ones, thank you
Thanks a lot for the explanation, much appreciated. I don't know any Japanese so these kinds of puns go way over my head
That being said I think the sixteen rays relating to the name Imu is a bit too much of a stretch
The notion, however, that Arabasta might have used Pluton prior to the VC is worth exploring I think. We do know that the Water 7 blueprints differ from the original Pluton, so it's not to far out to speculate that there is different versions of it (Pluton-Alpha and Pluton-Beta if you will)
Theory on bb that he has more than one soul thats why he could eat 2 fruits and luffy and zoro mentioned that bb is not he but they
"We do know that the Water 7 blueprints differ from the original Pluton"
When was said this? Because I don't remember hearing that before
Franky says that the blueprints is a weapon that is used to rival pluton (not those exact words) not that it is pluton before he burns it
Isn't that a mistranslation debunked long ago?
Franky said was on the lines of "we keeping the blueprints in case the WG gets its hands on another ancient weapon so we can fight back"
And the blueprints are named "Pluton", not "Pluton 2"
If it was a mistranslation then that’s my bad
my theory on luffy fruits - i think luffy powers isnt rubber but just resizing body parts and kinda reshaping its properties to a limited extend which explains its stretching body and less damage effect
and after awakening ig it can be something like doing same with others body thus creating or can create minions or gaints and if gaints
it can explain why shanks would steal this fruit and why world government feared a fruit which wasnt awakened by a long time ,as it will get awakened it can create gaints which everyone trying to create and maybe it was the joyboy df as he was shown like a gaint kind of
ik i didnt explained well my theory but i will appreciate anyone who can explain it perfectly
how does that explain Luffy's immunity to lightning?
i been thinking the same with this my theory to justify it then i realised changing its properties (line 2)
how does that explain it though?
an extra
that is better explained by "it's rubber"
yep
like he can change his body properties but he mostly change it as rubber
it would be an ex machina if luffy's fruit is not rubber
it wasn't a decision to become like rubber, as we see in chapter 1. It's a passive
💀 ik it sound bit ehh but im trying to make it good
Rubber doesn't change properties
what do you think about my theory Joy boy is Paul Bunyan theory?
🤔 well let me rethink and gather some more infos to proof
1- Paul Bunyan - Giant Lumberjack USA folklore Hero
2- Popularised by William B. Laughead who worked in the Red River Lumber Company.
3- His friend was a giant blue ox (Zunesha)
4- He built USA rocky mountains (Red Line)
5- He is waiting for someone who has a D. on the name. His girlfriend name was Lucette Diana (D.) Hackensack
6- Lucette means in Italian Graceful Light and it seems to be in relation with the name Lucy (luffy's name on dressrosa colosseum)
7- Diana -> Japanese (Daiana) https://www.kanjizone.com/kanjiname.aspx?name=Diana Could mean something like Large Bright Apple tree or evergreen tree
8 -Also Daiana (dai) = Great
a = could also mean depression, sink, hollow (blackbeard meaning of the D.)
na= apple/tree (the same tool can be used to do the other thing)
9- Remember when whitebeard say to teach that you are not the D. Roger was looking for?
I interpret that as Teach's D. is not the same as Roger's, Luffy's, Law's ... D.
That D. means great depression (another combination of kanji's of the word Daiana, Paul Bunyan's girlfriend)
cause my theory drawback is how he got up against lightning
and how it was a passive in chapter 1, and not a decision to change properties
nope
it'd be cool bc it gives Luffy a girl's name.
But eh... maybe it could play with Diana, the goddess, tho the reading is different. I've been thinking if Lodestar/Laugh Tale would have a greek/roman theme for some time now...
diana goddess of the moon
given that the Lunarians used to live on top of The Red Line and be considered gods, is it safe to assume that The Red Line is older than Joyboy and the void century?
The rocks that form the red line obviously
but the artificially line that divides the world in 4 pieces I don't think so
The ancient kingdom always gave me Atlantis vibes
Oars was known to be a continent mover and it was alive at that moment
he did something to gain that title I hope
it makes sense that the continent could have been reconstructed 👍
Oars, I don't it's confirmed that he is 800 years old. He died 400 years ago or so
Or created by joy boy's akuma no mi like Paul bunyan's
WB akuma no mi? maybe
the Red Line is likely to have been constructed by something. However, I wonder if it's much older than 900 years. We have heard of a void century in which no one knows what happened, but practically there should still be information about the deeper past. It would be known if that whole continent was not present 1000 years ago
but of course, the author might not have considered such details 🤷♂️
or maybe the history before the void century is very archaic, mostly based on individual countries' history
as we know for Alabasta, for example
I think it was moved
that is unrealistic in a real world, but I can accept it for this story
is it really tho...
moving the red line without historians noticing is also unrealistic
what's unrealistic about this
🤔 what if joy boy built the red line to protect the great apple tree (Daiana)
Marijoa great treasure I hope
It can explain why the marines have the best logia fruits
if there were no mentions of the only continent in the world anywhere before 900 years ago, someone would notice that. the RL is literally the most obvious part of the entire world that most islands would know about
No one remember God valley, some kind of mental control is needed
don't necessary disagree with ur theory and think it's an interesting idea, but it looks like oda's building up a lot of one piece's lore from abrahamic religions
not sure if he'd pull in paul bunyan as well, don't think that's a folk tale famous and/or influential enough to make it very far out of america
there aint mentions of america in indian history for a long time bruh
it could just be that history before the void century is mostly based on regional conflict, and the major ships going around the world happened during the void century
I think there are so many parallels
Specially his author name: Laughead
Secrets can't be so obvious
I do agree that the numbers thing can tend to be exaggerated especially because of Ohara and Yuderon basically abusing them for every little incident. But I do have belief that Imu’s connection with 16 is intentional. Just to throw out an example as to why Imu could have such a connection.
For starters, if we look carefully at the Imperial Seal of Japan it’s a depiction of a Chrysanthemum Flower. What makes this significant is that the Chrysanthemum Flower has 16 petals displayed upon its symbol. In Japan, this flower is a representation of The Sun 🌞 and in Chinese culture the flower is a representation for Eternal Youth.
In Japan the mark of the Chrysanthemum Flower as close association with the Emperor, so it‘s a mark strictly used for royalty because of its representation for the Sun and Eternal Youth. Similarly in France we had Louis XIV who called himself the Sun King. And we know in One Piece there’s a Sun God as well as Marijoas being a representation of France. So there’s a overlap of Cultural ideals that Oda is combining.
The Japanese influence in all this is currently in Japan we can see the symbol of the Chrysanthemum Flower displayed on The Imperial Throne of Japan. If you look at it closely it completely resembles the Empty Throne, the detailing is exactly the same with the lions on each side of the armrests, the colors, and the carving of the gold on the frame of the throne.
So there is an aspect of inspiration here taken from Oda and the Chrysanthemum Flower with its 16 petals takes a greater inspiration in the real world through the royalty of the Meiji Era and King Louis XIV’s reign as the Sun King.
I can always bring up other examples as to why this works if this wasn’t enough to see my POV
@edgy viper
I still think that is unrealistic. Of course we don't know what the OP world was like 1000 years ago, but I imagine that humans somehow originated in one place and then sailed to all corners of the world. It's unthinkable then that no old civilization could sail far or knew about the RL
Apologies if I intervened in any other conversation with my wall
This is dumb but, what if the third ancient weapon, Uranus, could destroy or control islands, sink or float them too. And u need the last one to access laugh tale
That would be strange
Pluto is already a big ship weapon
🤔 It doesn't make sense to have two, I would like Uranos to be different
no one knows what pluto is for sure
There is some consensus that Pluto is the ship that franky shows in that blueprint
🤔 Especially the reaction of Rob Lucci and Spandaman
no one is sure we will only be sure when oda confirms it
Yeah it’s a pretty dumb theory
It would be nice that Uranus were a small being
🤔 like the tontatas
@lime cape doers your Bunyan theory mean that Joyboy is sitting -alive- on Laugh Tale and waits for a specific D. person?
I checked the official translation and while definetly ambigous, I'm still leaning towards the blueprints differing from the original. They explicitly call it a "opposing force" for example, which to me implies whatever these blueprints construct is meant for fighting Pluton (and the other two AW), not for destroying islands like the og Pluton
I think he's dead
Send me the raw.
It's a metaphor or some place only certain D. can enter
I think it is a real alternative to the D. meaning Dawn
D. = Daiana
No amount of mistranslation could get this wrong so consistently. I mean it's written "Pluton" on the frickin paper. If those blueprints aren't actually for Pluton, it'll mean that we were lied to, not that we had understood wrong
Or only a certain D. can hear the real message of Joy Boy🤔
Something like we hear the "laugh" tale, then all laugh out loud, then oh wait I have a second message not so fun luffy
I think that the idea works on a lot of levels. Is it then that the D. clan is somehow descendants of Joyboy's girlfriend?
if the D. clan is just related to Daiana it has less obvious thematic value than if it were, for example, Dawn
That is only especulation
of course, I just try to extrapolate and see where the idea goes
It could be a sect of the great evergreen apple tree (Daiana in kanji)
If Bunyan theory is true D. are the real descendants of the moon people
Daiana is also the goddess of the moon
the kanji for Daiana is the same as for apple tree?
Dai: great
a: bright
na: apple tree
🤔 the a also means depression, I hope it is the "second face of the D." like BB
wow, that is good ground for speculation
but then it suggests that the D's have something to do with trees
I hope that is the secret of mariejoa
The D.evil fruit tree
If you review the texts about Bunyan's travels you'll see the songs, ballads, the comedy, the tragedy etc.
What if the 3rd Ancient weapon was a sword?
meh
we already have meito system so theres no need for sword ancient weapon
guys i have a really important question relation to raftel im caught up in the series but im really confused by the statement where inurashi says that "you are already on a journey beyond the end" to nami..WTF DOES IT MEAN?? does it mean they dont have to travel the grand line again because they already found out abt the road poneglyph before they reached the final island before raftel, unlike roger because roger didnt know until he reached that island??
i think i answered my own question nvm
The end = Lodestar
There is a secret island = laugh tale
is it possible that Shinobu's ripe ripe fruit is actually Toki's time fruit?
what makes u think that?
when Toki died the fruit was then eaten by Shinobu without her knowing that it used to be Toki's fruit
it's a long-shot, but the ripe fruit can age things, so a possible awakening of it could be to go through time
i dont think theyre the same, shinobu's fruit can age things but tokis fruit allows her to jump in different periods of time
but it could be possible
the only reason why I suspect this is because the Gorosei talk about some fruit that has not been awakened for centuries
and then Toki's fruit comes to mind, except no one has it right now. But it would have been a legend even to the gorosei
There's a theory that Toki's fruit is actually the Ripe-Ripe fruit but awakened.
The idea is that the fruit's normal use is to "accelerate time" for the target, which causes it to age faster.
And that with the Awakening you accelerate time for everything other than the target, which makes it so the target does not see time pass while the rest of the world "ages"
Here
i like that but its a little drastic
@lime cape no other series references please
you mean this? 大 + 明 (as in akari) + 柰 ??? Super stretchy there, mate.
But the Adam and Eve trees are relevant for sure... in some way
I am not japanese
Also dai could mean apple tree but...
yeah this seems to be an obsolete kanji or smth, it can be read na nai dai, or ikan karanashi
🤔 I think the important is how do you translate to kanji dai - a - na
but that's not how you'd translate it at all
it's just a stretch of what each individual sound could be expressed as
could be a pun of that sort for sure tho...
couldn't just be a kanji lecture game?
Kanji don't work like that
Most kanji have at least 2 to 4 different readings and every sound can be a reading for dozens of different kanji
So there's no "kanji writing" for something that isn't written in kanji from the start
I hope one day the newer straw hats get to meet Vivi
okay, so what? numbers also aren't written in kanji but you can look up different readings to know some secret connection
That's a different thing entirely
The number thing goes number -> sound (there's like 2 or 3 sounds for one number)
Your thing is sound -> kanji (dozens of possibilities like I said)
There is wayy way more flexibility in the second one, as can be seen with the number of options visible on the website you linked earlier. You could make it say basically anything.
- The japanese reader is used to play on words using numbers, apparently that's a common thing for them
Whereas there is I believe no precedent for a name in One Piece (written in katakana) that had a secret kanji reading, let alone for a name that isn't even in the manga yet
there are 6-8 meanings for each syllable, you can group to mean something different fair enough but it is one plausible option
Raftel - laughtale - waraibanashi? 笑い話?
well the other way around Raftel - waraibanashi (binks' sake) - laughtale
is it a good precedent?
What do you mean ? You wrote the same thing twice
We knew the last island as Raftel
in katakana, but if you put it in kanji laugh tale (english sound) it can be writen as waraibanashi (used in binks sake)
Ah ok well it's not exactly the same thing because
笑い話 can be read "warai banashi"
ラフテル can be read "laugh tale" (or raftel)
But you couldn't take ラフテル and read it as "warai banashi"
The connection between ラフテル and 笑い話 is only possible with the english reading as an intermediary
ラフテル -> Laugh Tale -> 笑い話
(my mistake it is the other way around)
waraibanashi is the literal translation of laugh tale
Yes that's what I'm saying
ラフテル -> Laugh Tale (pronounciation)
Laugh Tale -> 笑い話 (translation)
But there's no ラフテル -> 笑い話
well I will check up the connection between Daiana and the D.
🥲 and I will drop the literallist interpretation of the name to kanji
Lol I don't mean to ruin the rest of your theory
I stand to be corrected on the "no precedent" thing too
Do you know what would be kind of interesting? If Chopper's arc is to kill Imu. The only cure for Imu's immortality is death and Chopper is the only doctor who can do such an achievement.
If the theory that Imu is immortal because of a previous user of the Ope-Ope no Mi is correct, Chopper could have an arc where he must help with an assisted suicide, a very gruesome thing that doctor's do sometimes have to do. It would really help build Chopper up imo.
It probably won't happen but it would be something interesting to consider
I know the Diana interpretation was only a addition, I can end up saying Daiana refers to the moon goddess and all the D.s are legitimate sons of moon people (and not those astronauts called celestial dragons)
Don't you mean "ass"tronauts XD
how do you kill an immortal being?
A drug to take away his immortality?
easy... seal it (like in naruto, dragon ball etc.)
In certain mythologies, there were potions etc. that were meant to be used to kill gods or take away their immortality and then kill them.
See, Chopper is only used to being a doctor who saves others but eventually he may have to help end a life. And that is part of the duty of being a doctor, one that would give Chopper a huge moral dilemma and some good development. It's probably not going to happen and tbh the only reason I suggest it is because I don't want the parallel between Luffy and Rogers to continue into... Luffy gets super rare incurable disease that Rogers had but Chopper will cure it. I feel Chopper being forced to end a life as a medical practitioner would be far more interesting
Imu is kureha
The only thing that ultimately disproves your theory, is pretty much everything from timing, to their eye color
Colored eye contacts🤣 🤣 🤣
That's like making a kid smoke because his family smokes too
Smoker's kid is going to be sad then XD
Smokers kid is going to be dead because of all the second hand smoke he has to endure
Damn man. Also it's not the same at all. I'm not talking about a hobby like smoking. I'm talking about a profession. Declaring oneself as a doctor means he will have to eventually take the good with the bad and do some of the tasks that even doctor's dread. Don't underestimate Chopper's dream
That's true but honestly if he were to end a life he would do it so it was painless and peaceful
I would prefer luffy not die, thnk u
The problem isn't about it being painless and peaceful. The problem is taking a life, something Chopper never does.
I'm not talking about Luffy. I'm talking about Imu. I also would prefer Luffy be alive
Yeah but when is the last time the straw hats actually killed someone other than like once
That's my point!!! It gives it much more meaning then
The last time I remember they killed someone was pushing the dude who had the sickle sickle fruit into the stream of reverse mountain
okay relief
luffy needs to be an old man wiping his boogers on children
Wasn't that non-canon?
It happens in the anime so it's canon
Like it was a subtle thing but you never see or hear about him again after the push him in
Wait are all anime events being considered canon? That doesn't seem right
Well it was part of a main episode and not part of one of the filler plots
No, Eric was definitely part of the filler plots. The Warship Island Arc was filler.
He still died at reverse mountain
Yeah but I legit forgot half the filler arcs
I was trying to say that he died during a non filler arc but not where he came from
Even his death was technically still filler
Still gonna count it as the straw hats killing someone
I bet another poneglyph is in Zunesha
What you think of the theory of this being Joyboy
That would be pretty wild but I don’t think he was that big.
I agree that Skull is too big to be the skull of a human or even a giant
What if joyboy rode on zunesha
Ok people, luffy don’t have a giant fruit, he’s RUBBER
The whole basis for Joyboy being a giant is the straw hat at Mary Geoise. Problem is the Onigashima skull is like as big as the entire Pangea Castle
Joyboy may be a giant. But not that giant
Jolly green giant
Or perhaps that is Joyboy but the straw hat was never his and all these people were right for the wrong reasons.
Or perhaps it was his but was just comically tiny for his head.
Joyboy had a whole crew of people like zunesha and some ancient giants. And the one piece is sake.
Big mom will be like akinau in marineford. Big mom will come back and kaido will not be defeated but his crew would fall. And king and queen are taken into impel down with doflamingo.
The theory is nice but I’d think if JoyBoy was that big, smth like the “gigantification” thing that was conducted by Ceasar could be around it. Like Ceasar’s twisted science kinda hinting it, a thing from the distant past
Kaido from the D clan?
this is one piece you talking about here? :P could easily be joy boy who had a pet elephant, lmao.
I honestly would imaigne that Joy Boy would be more Giant Sized than that huge, tbh. That Joy Boy is either normal human or Giant.
In the anime, Rayleigh describes people who wear straw hats as “dauntless”. It is possible he wore it as a homage to his fallen Allies
No probably not
This week, on One Piece! Izo vs CP0 heats up, as news of Big Mom's defeat is announced to the island. More of Kaido's soldiers defect as the outcome of the war shifts ever more in the samurai's favor. Raizo finally escapes fukorokujou as he burns alive, but will he be put out in time?
His companion is a mega huge city sized elephant
you guys think about this sometimes? why would they keep a giant strawhat in a freezer , that's just weird man
it’s made of straw. straw degrades over time. certainly it would turn to dust within 800 years if it weren’t in a temperature controlled room (assuming it belonged to joyboy).
thats a good point
however the “why store it in the first place?” still remains. like what’s so special about this hat even if it did belong to joyboy? is it just a memento for im-sama? or some kind of trophy over defeating joyboy? if it’s just a trophy then is the treasure of mariejois something totally different? or is there more to that hat than meets the eye? so many questions raised just by showing a shadowy figure look at a big hat in a freezer.
Freezing the straw will keep it fresh for the next joy boy
Wonder if keeping it on ice could be related to inherited will
Maybe the objects in the frozen alcoves are imbued with a will of people that the WG does not want to pass on to someone else. Luffy is destined to BE JoyBoy, but won’t inherit his will until he makes contact with that straw hat. The one he has now is a relic that represents JoyBoy and is enough to guide Luffy to become JoyBoy
And I wonder if there will be an object for each crew member.
1 thing worth pointing out is that Oda has made small changes to how scenes are conveyed between anime and manga. It is worth looking at every scene with Imu and comparing anime and manga. There’s a lot to unpack in the scenes, especially the straw hat scene
I like this a lot. Worth pondering
I’ll respond in more detail tomorrow
Tag me if you don’t mind, or I’ll probably miss it
I’m gonna guess there is a Nika relic in the alcoves as well. And it’ll be Usopp related.
I’ll tag you
I think I have a bit of a theory
One of the final moves Zoro showcases in the story is a Nine Sword Style move, but it’s all the swords Zoro has used in the adventure he’s been through
Are we getting spoilers today ??
I think so, yeah
Yea. We getting a new chapter this week
Yup
It just doesn't feel like living when there's a break
Bm’s ability to put souls into objects. So Soul inside objects is possible in op. What if the giant straw hat has the soul of joyboy himself?
you have to
how'll you see the end of One Piece if you don't?
Ikr that's why am still alive
It is kept there bc they defeated him and someone put joyboy’s poor soul in the hat
I get it what u r tryin to say but I don't like the idea
What would be the implications
But it’s a national treasure so pre much just an object that holds great significance
It's just doesn't fit may be they put the gaint strawhat there as a momento
But if oda likes to do it he will do
However, the WG got rid of the truth after big wars and then they keep it on sounds too simple
I didn't think of that 🤔🤔🤔
Maybe I can agree with u
Plus a national treasure is generally publicly known. This one must be an absolute secret and is kept in an inaccessible place
yo
ok
so luffy will first be king of the pirats gain wealth fame power(ancient weapons) also in the reverie arc we see imu holding luffys wanted poster and is next to a giant blue straw hat
interesting
i did see on tiktok about a giant blue straw hat that is frozen and some lady looking at it is that the hat ur talking about? and do u have a idea on what the one piece really is?
The One Piece is some good gabagool
JoyBoy knew the only thing that can bring the world together is salted meat platters
its belived to be joy boys hat and why she is holding luffys wanted paper is because joy boy is supposed to be reicarnated in luffys generation when oden was with roger when he went through fish man island sea kings were talking about the prophecy of luffy meeting poseidon(shirahoshi)
yes but not one piece
and they also speaked about the whales being happy or smthing when they meet the reincarnation or smthin as we see when luffy enterd the new world the whales were happy and pike being happy
and so the theroy now begins when gold.droger found the one piece he learnd the truth and he went to get executed and said there i have left it all everything the world has to offer
i also did see that luffys fruit isnt really a gum gum fruit and that the gum gum ability is like marcos healing power and that he just hast awaken his true ability yet its said that his fruit is ancient and that joyboy had possessed it when he was in his era and that rogers had found it ate it before he died and shanks found it and that the reason luffy says stuff so familier to rogers is because rogers reincarnated into the fruit as with aces devil fruit when sabo gets it he automaticaly knows the abilitys aced use
but your theroy is interesting im intrigued by it
Yeah thats also a theroy will of a fruit and black beards fruit is from imu
sunesha
Luffy saying thing similar to what roger used to say makes sense
I think it is really a rubber devil fruit but the awakening can be anything I guess
But the person who knows fs how one piece will end and knows luffys power is oda we will never know forsure
it also might be a mythical zoan
ok ill tell you the end game theory
thats what people are saying that it could be a mythical zoan
Joy Boy is the devil inside the gomu gomu, if you awaken it you revive Joy Boy taking over luffy's body
Now smth ppl miss is Vivi’s portrait on Im’s hands
luffy will go to war at marie jois and destroy the red line with the ancient weapon pluton and take the fish man people to land and use the ancient weapon pluton(aka shirahoshi) to bring all the sea kings somewhere else
mhm
than for the weather of the grand line luffy will use the 3rd ancient weapon to get rid of it
its also known that joyboy was trying to bring the whole world together and join all the races with no discrimination
i believe that joyboy was previous owner of gum gum fruit and his will of being free is now passed on to luffy through Devil fruit
What are these ancient weapons and what is the pluton weapon im not that far in yet and i had finally decied to join a one piece server bc all my friends hate one piece and says its trash so i need new friends lol
then imu probably did something to not make it happen and why the elahpant zunsha
I don't think luffy's going to destroy the red line with an ancient weapon, it's more likely he does a giganto axe and destroy everything from mariejoa to fishman island (fulfilling the prophecy)
its just weapins that can destroy the world
no he wants the whole world connected no discrimination its still a theroy
ohhh what are all the ancient weapons?
pluton Posiedon and Uranus
i mean joy boy wants
ohh
we only know poseidon you will find out in fish man idland
I believe it was joy boy who built the red line
alr, luffys way of seeing the world is totally different he doesnt care about the treasure he wants to be pirate king eat meat and have the world live in peac e
what do you think of my theory
I am intrigued
pluton i guess is ship whose location was stated in alabasta ponegliff ... what i think is that its possible that vivi is some kind of key to unlock pluton
bro its like joy boy want all races to be connected so id say imu was the one who did it joy boy wants no disctimunation of fish people giants long arms long necks etc and poor rich(celestial dragons)
a theory on where the one piece is aparently at the bottom of impell down
also zunesha the elahpant helped zunesha so thats why he has only been walking straht
enies loby a bit wrong
haven't u read my bunyan's theory? 😦
oh impell down is the prison
sorry could you tell me
I'll copy paste
lmao my bad its been a bit since ive seen the water seven arc
no worries
probably a bit over six months i think since water seven
less gooo was like what got me hooked into one piece
but yea its rumor that the one piece is at the bottom of enies lobby but how did roger get down there and get back up?
i mean crocodile like made me

what got me into one piece was tiktok and my couson showing me clips of it
@gleaming aurora
Joy Boy built the red line (Paul Bunyan theory)
1- Paul Bunyan - Giant Lumberjack USA folklore Hero
2- Popularised by William B. Laughead who worked in the Red River Lumber Company.
3- His friend was a giant blue ox (Zunesha)
4- He built USA rocky mountains (Red Line)
5- He is waiting for someone who has a D. on the name. His girlfriend name was Lucette Diana (D.) Hackensack
6- Lucette means in Italian Graceful Light and it seems to be in relation with the name Lucy (luffy's name on dressrosa colosseum)
7- Diana -> Daiana in japanese it is the moon goddess
its probablt an ancient weapin
have u seen crocomom theory?
yes n i regret
could i get the video?
defiently interesting
There is no video sorry
so this joyboys crew?
yea same lol its a bad theory but it could be true that iva did change his gender
Also I was discussing if daiana if you translate to kanji it could mean great bright apple tree but it seems Oda doesn't do this kind of things
@gleaming aurora This is a channel only meant for series theory discussion pl don't talk about any other stuff here
If someone wants to make the video of Bunyan's theory is welcomed
ok go to geaneral cus i hate slow down
@opal stratus Same goes for you too
im going
you did your reaserch my dude
Yep, someone had to make that artificially red wall, from those we know of it could be Oars or JoyBoy (if they aren't the same person)
And Bunyan's theory points to JoyBoy
Also Hackensack is the name Dutchs gave to a native american people called lenni-lenape (original people) but I don't know if it could fit into the theory. They were a matrilineal clan tribe.
oka
Do u think Imu hypnotized the elephant into ruining joyboys plan being that the crime?
well i cant really know cus zunesha had his own way of doing thing its said he went with the plan so he did it with his own will and now hes being punished
Definitely you have to hypnotize a huge elephant to make him comply with the sentence
🤔 But ruining joyboys plan :__ I don't think so
Does Imu even have hypnosis?
Not confirmed
i feel like zunesha was tricked and manipulated by someone into thinking he was the one who committed the crime.............cuz hypnosis in OP seems a bit far off..
Jango's ancestor maybe 😂
Yarh , the red line is unnatural
First time i'm hearing this , i must read up
My issues with Joy Boy building The Red Line are
- JB likely would like the RL to disappear. A prevalent theory is that the All Blue will come about once the RL has been destroyed. Also the Fishmen it seems have been promised by Joy Boy to leave the deep sea, and Luffy is prophecized to destroy Fishman Island.
- It is reasonable to assume that the RL is far older than 900 years because the Lunarians used to live there before the Celestial Dragons took over
Have you discover anything about this?
🤔 I'd like to know how far can it go the Paul Bunyan theory
shanks is imu's son :Exit:
And Imu is Rocks
Kaido from the D clan
Luffy is logia
Does swngoku know about one piece
Kai D. o
zoro son of kaido
Go D. Usopp
I think there's a theory that Luffy has a special paramecia with zoan properties
why? he only imitates animals ::
Luffy is a rubber so he can shape shift to zoan
Goda like animals
so...?
I don't really know the details of the theory
We have a zoan awakening at the end game?
I don't know tbh, a lot of people don't want Luffy's fruit to be special
I'm personally fine either way
If the awakening is transform everything around him into rubber to protect his crew against the gura gura it would be find
also if the awakening is giant luffy, but if there is a special god fruit or sth I'd be disappointed
Is Pluto is in sunny?
Sorry mate. New to this discord thing. Sympathy 🥲
Paul bunyan is far fetch for joyboy.
No.1 we don't even know what joyboy did.
The two things we know about joyboy is.
He promised to bring fishmanisland to surface
He is friends with zunesha
Basically imagine this guy wearing a strawhat and the cow is an elephant
@lime cape oh shit that’s actually good
But then point 5 makes it interesting because wouldn’t Joyboy also be waiting for a lady?
8 - Hackensack is the name that Dutch's colonizers gave to the native american people of LONG island, those indians called themselves original people
Well I think you can't copy paste everything, it's a shonen manga and Lucy was already mentioned
np
But I think Daiana is a good alternative to the "Dawn" theory
🤔 We have also discussed what if you use the kanji to describe the sounds of the word
Dai = great
a = bright/depression
na = apple tree
But it is something Oda wouldn't do
I think you’re actually on to something and tbh I’m thinking that “Lucette Diana” is actually a combination of two people, Luffy and Nami. Because when they first meet in the beginning of the story in Orange Town we see in the background paintings of the sun (Lucette) and the moon (Daiana). And iirc the word Nami actually can translate to Red Apple.
I am not so sure, Oda haven't use this type of sound translation to kanji like in the word sushi (its kanjis doesn't mean raw fish or similar, only you take the sound to make it cool)
🤔 Then I have reviewed the stories of Paul Bunyan and I found a paper that said something reaally interesting that could explain why JoyBoy wrote a "laugh tale" and a apology letter (and also maaaybe Binks' sake song)
you can play with the possible kanji if you like but for now it seems highly improbable
I think when they get to laughtale island, everyone will hear the "laugh" tale, then all laugh out loud, then oh you finally come, wait I have a second message not so fun luffy
And he will be really pissed off (different interpretation from Roger's crew)
yup I agree, it’s gonna be a different resolution than Roger’s crew. Laugh Tale seems more ominous than perceived
Then from the goddess of the moon I could think that the D. are the legitimate descendants of the moon people but there were some greedy people that used the ancient weapons to establish a world government and live as gods in mariejoa (the illegitimate, the celestial dragons, copy their aesthetics with their astronauts suits)
🥲 The only thing joy boy could do to stop it was build the red line
D. is a misspelling of moon's kanji
I hope someone makes a video of the theory, let's see if someone can get further
especially if they know japanese
One thing I want to see happen which probably won’t is that Gear 5 is called Gear 5: Monkey-Man, and it will use his awakening with using a pipe as the weapon. The pipe being a callback to all of ASL’s childhood and how they all used a pipe. And the pipe is coated in Armament haki, while also being able to stretch like rubber almost like Wukong’s Ruyi Jingu Bang.
why couldn't it be Gear 4th: monkey man?
Well it could I guess.
guys tbh
i dont think gear 5 will be come any time soon cuz luffy doesnt need it yes ik kaido is far more powerful than any other enemy luffy has faced but a gear 5 would be too fast ig the only thing will be gear 4 new version in which he covers himself with the haki also wano will definitely open the concept of joyboy(ik most of u know that but still)oda is has been showing or mentioning zunesha for a long time before his breaks (2 breaks only duh)zunesha will most probably meet with momo will discuss about some random thing
random here means something imp regarding the wano or kozuki clan or even the void
Oden note book
Big spoilers
oden note book would likely spill beans about void
not all of it but atleast a pinch
I think he wrote everything but Luffy would not read it
yes luffy be like i will leave on becoming kaizokuoo
wano will be a happy ending ig
Or... It is impossible for him to read it because CP0 will kidnap or kill everyone who knows about its content
not for robin* goresei willl definitely take some actions
most prolly cp0 going after whole straw hat crew
uk i really want luffy to punch another celestial dragon at this point
Who knows about the content of Oden s Notebook?
yamato ig momo knows alot about void since he stayed with zunesha in the end of zou arc
We will have a parallel of ennies lobby
zunesha might have told hhim the age of history of wano and role the kozuki clan played in it he might have told him about joyboy too
Robin with the highest bounty
lolll joyboy reveal at this point would hype things up
obv i suppose goresei always think about the secrets of void but because the D is present in luffy they might alsoo
rise up his bounty but forsure robin would likely have a very high bounty becuase of her ability
What do you think about the D. Bunyan theory?
naah havent read about it
Scroll up this convo
all the theories suggesting joyboy's a giant doesnt make sense to me
This
lmao idk why but the dont
Tell me what you think
bruh u presented quite a theory
Scroll down a little bit I added sth (kanji sound translation)
u know i really am interested i knowing who the 20 kings were
the donquixotes were one neferatari were also there
Why? It doesn't change the story
bruh not changing the theory just telling that info regarding those 20 would be a blast
there are a lot of things that arent answered in one piece at this point with oda telling that he will be ending one piece in 3 to 4 years he has a lot of work with wano being his first priority
3-4 years within One piece time or in real time?
at this point even oda knows that he should finish wano asap cuz red is around corner he might as well end the yonko saga
real he told in an interview that he plans on ending one piece in 4 to 5 years
Then we have the sequel One piece Z or boruffy
he is telling that he will be writing the biggest fight in whole manga hist
this just might be the final arc fight, luffy and his grand fleet the worst gen vs the whole world govn
after luffy becomes kaizokuo*
cuz that is when he will come to know about joyboy and he will fight for him also knowing that he possesses the D he might as well become serious
Celestial dragons must hide a big power, because what if admirals go against them, who could stop them?
ikr the holy treasure of mary jois
A bomb that can destroy the world and Joy Boy create the red wall to seal it?
uk i read this theory about the gates in holy castle that the gates where to road to the grave of joyboy of each generation and imu sama went to visit the main grave that belonged to main joyboy
that could be one possibility
one can say that joy boy created the wall to protect laughtale his kingdom from the 20 kings but bcuz he lost the prosperity of the nation also went down and the 20 kings decided never to mention joyboy again cuz they knew how heck of a threat can joyboy be
and the one leading the 20 kings just might be imu sama (whose has a immortal fruit) or imu sama who is future gen of the first leader
Nope if Bunyan's theory is true the way he solves things must be out of the ordinary and comical
this is honestly a cool theory.
Thanks
Mind boggling theory. Is there anything in the story that matches with zunesha’s crime?
Yes
Zunesha crime caused the water from reverse mountain go the other way
these guys are still talking about Bunyan
Paul B Driving a large Bunch of logs Down the Wisconsin River When the logs Suddenly Jamed. in the Dells. The logs were piled Two Hundred feet high at the
head. And were backed up for One mile up river. Paul was at the rear of the Jam
with the Blue Oxen And while he was coming to the fronthe Crew was trying to break the Jam but they couldent Budge it. When Paul Arrived at the Head with the
ox he told them to Stand Back. He put the Ox in the old Wisc [River] in front of the
Jam. And then Standing on the Bank Shot the Ox with a 303 Savage Rifle. The ox thought it was flies And began to Switch his Tail. The tail commenced to go around in a circle And up Stream And do you know That Ox Switching his tail forced
that Stream to flow Backward And Eventually the Jam floated back Also. He took
the ox out of the Stream. And let the Stream and logs go on their way.
I hope this extract make sense
Joyboy saved zunesha for its mistake (as Luffy and shanks parallel) and couldn't achieve his goal?
