Guys i have a theory but i am still at ep 351

You know in the robin flashback the old guy said that the poneglyph reading was considered a crime 800 years ago which was at the same time the world government started,so this means that the humans from the forgotten century were warning us from something, someone, and that person is the one who won the war against humanity and is controlling the world government.
Who could that possibly be? It’s obviously not a human otherwise why would they have such power, they are probably a devil, that gives us the devil fruits to make us fight each other and forget about him, and it’s getting stronger with each use for the devil fruits because a deal with the devil is a loss at your end, so i think that the person in control of the world is the devil that gives humans power to fight each other so he could grow stronger

The next big theory I’m working on that is further developing this idea is that Joyboy was a Skyknight specifically the character called Sora Warrior of the sea. So back in a 2007 interview (One Piece Paradise Vol. 5), Oda mentioned something that stuck with fans for years:

“I’ve always wanted to draw a pirate with an eyepatch, but I decided to save it for the last part of One Piece.”

And so the world government who now know what the poneglyph is all about brainwashing people to stop any potential rebels erasing a big chunk of history and killed all people who tried to learn the void century

Why Garp decided to protect Celestial Dragons at God Valley

Had a cool theory last night. It's about the God Valley incident, which we're probably about to see the flashback for in the next few chapters.

In the latest chapter, it was basically confirmed that the Treasure of Pirate Island that the world government stole (and resulted in the Rocks Pirates showing up to God Valley to take it back) was Shakky.

We saw that both Rocks and Roger liked Shakky. That explains why both showed up (and presumably fought over Shakky). But why did Garp decide to enter the fight against Rocks alongside Roger, even though we previously saw that Garp had no interest in fighting Rocks and only agreed to come to God Valley because he heard Roger was going to be there? Why was it said by Sengoku that Garp teamed up with Roger to "protect the celestial dragons" even though we know Garp has refused promotion to Admiral several times because he refuses to take direct orders from Celestial Dragons?

I think Rocks, in his hatred against the world government and Celestial Dragons, decided to get revenge on them for stealing Shakky by killing them when he showed up to God Valley. He probably took it too far and even decided to target children Celestial Dragons, like Shanks, through the logic that the son is guilty of the sins of the father. That's when Garp agreed to join Roger to protect the Celestial Dragons.

Think about how much more Roger telling Garp about Ace makes if you assume this is what happened at GV. When Roger was behind bars awaiting execution, he told Garp that he has a son on the way. Garp replied "Are you trying to get the mother of your child executed?", and Roger said, "I'm telling you this so that won't happen". He told Garp to go and find the mother of his child and protect her until Ace was born, and persuaded Garp by saying "Would you really let a son be punished for the sins of his father?".

That line from Roger is what convinced Garp to protect and raise Ace. How much sense does it make that Roger chose Garp to confide this information to because he saw Garp make that exact same decision before at GV?

Similarly, would KoP be a title an emperor holds in addition, or something that ascends them above the Yonko, leaving a slot open?

I am rewatching One Piece and just got to Fishman island. After the revelations of Gyaban having a child with a giant and the clear parallels between him and Sanji. I could totally see Sanji at the end of the story living underwater in Fishman island (or wherever the Fishman/mermaids decide to live if the theories of Luffy destroying the redline and Fishman island along with it, creating the allblue, are true). The allblue it would probably be a desirable place to live for Fishman who still want to live in the sea. Sanji even calls Fishman island his allblue due to the mermaids. I would not put it past Oda to use this gag as foreshadowing.

That would explain why Shanks seemed to be inactive for nearly 15 years, since he had already secured the treasure. But now that Luffy is growing too powerful, Shanks has finally started to move, planning to eliminate Luffy in order to reclaim the fruit. In the end, Shanks himself could be the final villain, seeking to claim the One Piece for his own.

Durning a final fight with whomever its our hero Luffy will finally realise that he is some god called Nika.He will be annoyed by idea that he is not a free pirate but an inherited will.He will be really angry about it.In that moment he will break out of his Nika form back to normal Luffy and will say these words “I am Monkey D. Caesar Clown’s giant kids are proof: the Government funds unstable artificial growth projects rather than risk giants reproducing naturally. They want controlled weapons, not a united giant race that could rival them.

Fishmen & Merfolk

Fishmen are stronger than humans, and merfolk can dominate the seas — a power that could cripple the World Government’s trade routes. Instead of fostering peace, the Government has allowed systemic racism, slavery, and segregation to keep them divided. Even Fishman Island is forced to exist under the “protection” of a Celestial Dragon’s flag. Rather than risk fishmen and merfolk rising as a unified naval power, the Government ensures they remain oppressed and fractured.

Minks

The Minks are natural-born warriors with their powerful Sulong transformations, making them one of the most dangerous races in the world. But the Minks live isolated on Zou, a moving island the Government has little control over. Their lack of territory and trade routes makes them easier to ignore — and far harder for others to unite with. The World Government’s silence on them feels intentional: if they spread and integrated, their power could inspire rebellion.

Hybrids & Mixed Bloodlines

The most dangerous prospect for the Government is interbreeding between races. Big Mom’s children show how combining different lineages can create brokenly powerful individuals — stronger, faster, or more durable than ordinary humans. If such hybrids became common, the balance of the world would shift. The Tenryuubito themselves embody the opposite: through obsessive inbreeding they keep their bloodlines weak, "pure," and dependent on status, almost as if they fear what hybridization might produce.

The World Government’s paranoia makes sense when we look back at the Void Century. Eight hundred years ago, the Great Kingdom united diverse races under one banner. The Celestial Dragons fear that history repeating — the bloodlines of giants, fishmen, minks, and others mingling once more — could revive that same unstoppable coalition.

That’s why they:

Erase history with the ban on Poneglyphs.

Suppress racial pride through slavery and propaganda.

Encourage human-only dominance, making every other race seem like an exotic minority.

But this fear has created irony. In trying to divide and weaken, they’ve sown the seeds of rebellion. The Worst Generation is already filled with hybrids, oppressed races, and outcasts. Luffy’s alliances span giants, fishmen, minks, Tontatta, and more — exactly the groups the Government tried to suppress.

In the end, the “Great Kingdom” might not return as a place, but as an idea reborn through bloodlines and unity. By stifling stronger races and enforcing human dominance, the World Government hasn’t erased the threat — they’ve only delayed it. The day those suppressed peoples rise together, the Celestial Dragons’ 800-year reign will finally crack.

The One Piece is the last piece of Imu’s game with the last JoyBoy. Roger found it but couldn’t use it because he needed JoyBoys powers to continue the game. Shanks knows this and is preparing for the end game.

I already theorized the possibility of Blackbeard gaining Loki during a davy back fight with the strawhats, but that also begs the question, will Teach stay true to his father by gaining the strongest members from other pirate crews, so what if the Blackbeard Pirates also get in a Davy Back Fight with Cross Guild and they end up getting Mihawk. My reasonings on how that could possibly work:

1. Zoro’s final opponent being on the final antagonist’s group makes much more sense since Shiryu isn’t on that level or makes for a good final foe for Zoro
2. This Davy back fight can finally show us what Mihawk is truly capable of when he’s face with a good opponent, just so we can prepare what to expect when the eventual battle between zoro and mihawk goes down
3. Mihawk would most likely fight the swordsman of the Blackbeard group, Shiryu, which could very much lead to Shiryu’s death and with that this would show how little Teach cares about his crew and that they could be replaced at anytime.

Could Luffy be GOD?(not a joke theory)
We've seen the theme of gods. Logia, dragon zoans...We've also seen souls - Brook, Moria, Big Mom...Lastly we know Hell exists, presumably Heaven too. A few chapters ago we learned God's knights and elders travel true Hell for their teleportation. So it's place Imu has access to. Given Imu's other hell powers - grant immortality, soul corruption, control devils, contracts...he kind of is the ruler of Hell. Well Luffy and Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika are set up as the counter to that. Chains-Freedom. Coldness of Hell(Brook quotes) - Sun god. Black-White. Nika's cloud motifs. Luffy just does not have Imu's hundreds maybe thousands of years of experience. Luffy doesn't even know what powers he has. Still as Imu's opposite Nika should have domminion over Heaven.

TLDR. Imu is likely some variation of Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Satan. As his opposite Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika should grant Luffy dominion over Heaven.

The twins were born 39 years ago, GV happened 38 years ago, so Garland would have reported the island around 40 years ago.

I’m not critiquing out of the box ideas. If anything One Piece theories tend to fail because they relied too much on conventional thinking, where a lot of whacky stuff happens in this story.

My criticism is of people who refute what we are told in the story despite how obviously true it is or how little it would contribute to the story. It’s a lazy kind of theory crafting, and there isn’t much to discuss besides pointing out how wrong it is.

This is more of a head canon than anything, but I think in the Strawhats (and any crew with multiple DF users for that matter) Luffy, Chopper, Robin, and Brook each have an assigned overboard buddy. I don't see many people talk about St. Briss, so I will talk about it:
I was rewatching Skypiea, and I noticed that, besides the Saint Briss ship having a symbol on its flag that relates to the tattoo of the holy knight "Saint Sommers", the animal on this ship looks a lot like the "animal" on the right side of the panel from chapter 1138 (which Franky is observing). The photo Sanji observes inside the ship is already well-known in the One Piece theory community, so I won't comment on that part. We still don't know who Willie Gallon is, the physicist who quoted a line in the manga panel in which the St. Briss ship appears falling from the sky.
Returning to the symbol on the ship's flag, this symbol also relates to the mark of the celestial dragons' enslavement, and since it's an exploration ship that was punished by the people of Skypiea and fell from the sky. A One Piece Theory: What if Blackbeard is possessed by both Rocks as well as a 3rd person (possibly Davy Jones)? Oda has been setting up Blackbeard to be a legendary adversary for Luffy, and this is going to be his biggest reveal for the legendary Rocks D Teach.

For the longest time it has been theorized that Blackbeard consists of more than one soul. One reason was that Luffy and Zoro referred to him as a "They", knowing he isn't a single entity. Another is due to Cavendishs powers that allows him to switch to a different personality once he sleeps

Blackbeard is theorized to have powers similar to that of Cavendish. As Teach avoids sleeping as stated by Buggy, in order to suppress the souls in him and have control over is body. Cavendish however, is unaware of Hakuba, but Teach might be aware of the souls that consist him, hence why he avoids sleeping in order to have control over his body.

The number 3 is a prominent figure that has been brought up around Blackbeard for a while. As his Jolly Roger consists of 3 skulls, and his beard having 3 knots. It might just be nothing, but it is believed that he has 3 souls due to these references.

Blackbeards unusual body could also be explained by the fact that he is possessed by 3 souls. And why no one other than him can consume multiple devil fruits and survivie. Having acquired a Logia and Paramecia, Blackbeard may be on the lookout for a Zoan in order to acquire their complete set. As he seemed uninterested in consuming Boa Hancock and Traflagar Laws devil fruit for himself.

This theory would explain some mysteries around Teachs story, including his capability of consuming more than 1 devil fruit, as well as the reason as why the infamous Level 6 prisoners follow him. But an unusual story it would also connect to is his fight with Shanks.

Alot is unknown about Blackbeard's fight with Shanks. But looking at the timeline, Shanks had the abyss mark, presumably making him have had the regeneration effect, meaning for Teach to scar him he would need advanced conquerors haki.

Presently, Blackbeard possessing the ability to use advanced conquerors haki would seem appropriate, but during the time of the clash with Shanks it would seem improbable. So, what if Rocks took over Teach's body and fought instead of him? It would be reasonable due to a number of factors.

Rocks is now known to be a powerful monster, having copmpeted with the likes of Roger and Garp, he would be a more than fitting fit opponent for Akagami No Shanks who during the time was actively dueling with Mihawk in fights that shook the world. Rocks would be more than able to scar Shanks.

It would also explain why Shanks only told Whitebeard about his clash with Blackbeard years later after it happened, as Shanks may have suspected that the man who attacked him was not Teach but another person. After their clash, Shanks could have learned of Teach's true nature.

The reason why I theorize that Rocks possess Teach, is his ambiguous role in the story that has been shown only recently to us. It would seem farfetched to think this is just a dead man's tale. Rocks's claim to Imu that he would return to the room of flowers would be possible.

If Rocks D Xebec were to be in Teachs body, he could very much make his return to Marie Geoise. AS it would raise the stakes in the one piece story, and make it Blackbeard a more serious contender for the king of the pirates/world.

Yep it is a fairly popular theory most of my points aren't mine I just tried to connect them and add new points. I also posted the theory a while ago on a different platform I reposted it here so my friend could see it.

I agree with you that Xebec is more moral than Teach, that is a fair point. But I do no think that Xebec is a saint. It's highly improbable that he would intervene and try to prevent the actions that Teach is performing.

A point you're missing is the fact that Xebecs character may have changed, especially after the betrayal he experienced with Harald. Xebec might have lost trust in people and he may have developed a more sour demeanour. An example of this would be God Valley, but this pure headcanon on my part but I believe he does something despicable that forces Roger and Garp to team up.

Rocks seems like a good guy so far because he treated Harald with respect. But if we go past that, we can see how Xebec isn't much of a good person. He struck child Loki, and exploited his injury in order to get an audience with Harald. He and his crew stole from a childrens charity organization. He toppled a country, destroyed and sunk multiple ports as well as ships.

For hypothetical reasons let's say that Rocks would intervene, then he wont be able to thwart Teaches actions, because to switch personalities one would need to sleep (evidenced by Cavendish's powers). And since we saw young Teach, he was extremely cautious and didn't sleep a single day knew.

I was just thinking about something else on the other theory channel but I honestly can't see Oda putting Rocks into BB as a bystander it just feels to out of place specially given Rock's personality atm.

But after the "Kozuki Moria" reveal, an idea came to me: What if Moria knows Pluton is in Wano(because he's a Kozuki)
If he mentions that in front of Crocodile, he'd 100% try to go after it

Moria as a puzzle piece does fit nicely into the Cross guild. Power scaling and story wise his place is as a support actor for Pirate King Buggy. Thriller Bark seems just as important. Between the foretold destruction of Fishman Island and likely destruction of Wano(Black Beard isn't doing controlled demolition to get to Pluton). You need a place that can house thousands of refugees and has an option to transport them to where the finale grand battle happens. Thriller Bark fulfills both conditions.

Oda is rushing things. Moria allows Oda to give Buggy: Pluton, Neptune and 2 islands worth of military conscripts plus a zombie horde for the final battle with a few panels spread between chapters. No need for full chapters to move the B(Buggy) plot.

I know that this theory may have a lot of holes but stay with me. This is my first real written theory and I'm looking to see if anyone thinks this could make sense or has any more info to fill in some of the blanks.

We know that the man with the burn scar has three traits.
The most obvious. A Burn Scar
We don't know what or where Dragon got his scar because we know in his early days he did not have it.

I think that in the next few chapters will discover that Dragons fruit is actually a mythical zoan - model Shenlong. In Chinese mythology Shenlong is a Dragon with the power to manipulate wind and water for agriculture, ensuring prosperity, and his displeasure can result in natural disasters. IE; Whirlpools.
A black ship
As we know at this point his ship the Wind Granma is a black ship with a Dragon at the head. Connecting back to the shenlong theory.

We also know that since the very beginning that Dragon has been watching Luffy as during the Kuma flashback we see him in the East Blue at Dawn Island. Luffy also came in contact with a whirlpool right after leaving. Dragon was also at loguetown for some reason and saved Luffy from Smoker. It would also make sense why Dragon isn't making any big moves as he doesn't want to risk losing the Road poneglyph.

I think that with the next chapters being more on God Valley we will see Dragon get both his Mythical Zoan and his Burn Scar, which could be the mark of the poneglyph. It could be that Dragons power allowed him to take the final Road poneglyph from its location and hide it somewhere no one could find it until Roger. It would also make sense why Shanks was at Dawn Island as he knew that the Son of Dragon who was marked by the poneglyph.

Honestly unless the idea of Shiryu defeating Mihawk comes true, there is nothing really about him that makes him a Zoro opponent other than that he is a swordsman. And Zoro's opponents haven't exclusivly been swordsmen, and not all swordsmen have fought Zoro. Honestly the idea of Zoro fighting Bergus makes just as much since, because he is BB's right hand man.

If you look at Sommers, his abyssal mark is almost an entire arm tattoo slevee. However for shanks, his is just a small circular tattoo on his shoulder when he was in the hot spring with gaban- and we know his forearm is clean since we’ve seen him with both arms before.

Shanks little tattoo might not even be an abyssal mark. It could just be the Gods Knight branded on his skin. Unless if the abyssal mark just doesn’t matter as long as it’s a mark on your arm that can be big as Sommers or small as Shanks and Imu is just a tattoo artist giving the god knights whatever design they want.

Shanks had the big boy Lor D. The Coast bite his left arm off so either sea water negates the regeneration effect or Sea Kings just have a property that counters the abyss- or he just never had one to begin with.

I also believe Imu(or Saturn) hit both Rocks and Roger with a disease. Rocks outlasting Roger due to him medicating himself while Roger explored the world and eventually died inspiring everyone. Rocks would eventually die from the disease much later, but i think this could all go full circle if Luffy gets struck by the same disease as well, but this time around Chopper saves his captain’s life from the same disease that once killed his mentor

Alright, let's break this down. What are the odds that if Xebec has black and red hair, he's actually the brother of Shanks's mom? That would make Shanks a "D." and a member of the Davy Clan. How else would Garling have found out about them unless a member revealed it? Looking at the chapter, it seems Shanks's mom was in love with Garling and fully trusted him. Xebec even said, "It was by mistake they found out," which could mean Garling just wanted some kitty but ended up rizzing up a Davy Clan baddie—she told him her real name, and Garling played along.

We know from Kuma’s flashback there were 13 super rare rabbits. This chapter reveals that alongside a Buccaneer runt (Kuma), there was the rediscovered Davy Clan, which came to light after 800 years. So maybe there were 12 Davy Clan members including Teach? That means 11 others were also from the clan.

I also think there’s a reason Oda hasn’t shown Shanks’s mom—maybe she’s dark-toned like Xebec and Teach. It’s not hard to believe Shanks isn’t dark since he’s a carbon copy of his father, Garling.

At the time Dragon was living the slow life of a political activist, slowlly loosing hope the system can be changed within. Rodger knew he had less then a decade to live and nursing a broken heart (Shakuyaku x Rayleig). The board was set. The timeline gives 2 years for medical treatments, romance and travel. Enouth for a Golden Moneky to pop out, before getting yeeted into the future(for safety) by Toki. An option, Rodger would have learned about from his dealings with Whitebeard. Mind you in the future it's not Garp that takes care of Ace and Luffy. It's Curly Dadan, a childhood friend of Dragon(born same year on the same Island). Garp mostly protects the children from the Navy. This explains why in 1498, Rodger is so calm revealing Ace to Garp. Rodger had already dealth with time travel and Garp.

In the latest chapter, Oda retconned the amount of prize-chests at god valley from 6 to 9. This could have some significance on the story, or it could not. There are many characters who couldve gotten there fruits at God Valley; Dragon, Sommers, Gunko, Garling if he has a fruit, etc, but its also possible that when Big Mom said shed get fruits for her kids - she did end give ALL the fruits to her kids.

At this point in the story, 38 years ago, Big Moms youngest kid would either be Charlotte Laurin (39) or Charlotte Mont D'or (38). For this theory I'm assuming it's Laurin and that Mont D'or was born AFTER God Valley, due to the weird fact that his origin is listed as being born on a boat, which would be a tad strange to mention if she based at Hachinosu at the time
-# (tho could also just be that he haplened to pop out mid-transit to/from Hachinosu at any point, but I feel it wouldnt be worth noting if that was the case)
So if we assume he was not born yet, that would leave 7 older siblings with devil fruits in the modern day, which ligns up with the 7 unknown chests at Gods Valley (7 since we the contents of 2 of them)

Ok theory time: Garling kills or shots Teach mother while she is holding Teach, they fall from somewhere high and Rocks watch it happens going insane and killing everyone on his path to get to Garling, when he cannot find him or reach him he puts his sights on Shanks and Shamrock to take revenge on Garling, and Roger and Garp stop him from killing babies. Remember what Rogar said to Garp? The children should not inherit the sins of the parents. He knew Garp would take care of Ace because Garp had already once with him stepped in to protect an innocent child attacked for the deeds of his father. My theory is that Garp sends Dragon (who he reunited with at some point in God Valley) to run away with the kids and Garling takes advantage of the commotion to take at least one of the children back (Shamrock) from Dragon hurting him badly so Dragon hides Shanks on a treasure chest. Garp and Rock stop Rocks but he is killed anyways from someone from the WG. The aftermath of the event shows that Teach mother managed to survive long enough to give Teach to someone to take him out of the island, while Dragon has a falling out with Garp and leaves the Marines and Garp behind completely.

Just like no one knew Luffy was Dragons son, it's very possible that Ginny and Kuma hid away Bonney birth. The deception comes from the age fruit and Kumas power with the Memory bubble. It's assumed he used his fruit to cure himself. I believe the Df fruits have natural immunity. Case in point although minor. We never actually see Bonney leave the chuch and go outside until after her surgery but the medication she was suppose to take to help her recover was never the medication in he first place. THe idea that DF actually create an immunity to sickness was thought of way before this but Oda wrote this backstory enough to not show that her surgery was the result of being cured. something major happened Bonney was born that year the R.A liberated them. There is no panel of Bonney coming into contact with the fruit, she just had it. You can assume she got it when her mom and her were held hostage but that's why the age-age fruit is powerful. It allows Oda to at least mess with our heads no doubt and throw in deception. but, the timeline I'm using factually matches up with Kumas backstory and that's not accident. Someone said to reread, but I think that person is too dumb to understand and that they should reread. I'm just speculating using a formula that ODA is. Get on his level and learn how to construct stories. Oda's way is very genius and not rocket science but he is decieving by not fully allowing us to figure out certain events and ages of characters. It took him around the Nolan the Liar arc to find out the specific year it was in the One Piece. Oda uses Aces Jan. 1st and Rogers Dec. 31st birthdat for fixed events where as characters born in the middle of the year like Dragon, Luffy Betty, allows ODA to have more flexibility with the time line and the ages of characters.

Could there be a connection between Davy Jones and the fishmen? Back in Long Ring Long Land, Robin said that Davy was a pirate who was “cursed by the Devil to live on the seafloor”. The only people who I know of that actually do live on the seafloor are the fishmen, since Fishman Island is literally on the seabed. The fishmen also kinda treat living on the seabed as a curse, since currently their goal is to be able to live on the surface. This could also add an interesting connection between Davy and Joyboy. Davy represents the fishmen’s current predicament (seafloor) while Joyboy represents their dreams (living under the sun). So the fishman are basically completing a journey from Davy to Joyboy. Assuming that “the Devil” is Imu, for a moment I considered that maybe Imu even cursed Davy by turning him into the first fishman (since we know Imu can change bodies to some degree such as giving Dorry and Brogy devilish features) but that doesn’t seem to align with his descendants being human. But maybe Imu could’ve still changed his body in some way, since otherwise sending him to the seafloor would just be death by drowning or pressure, not “living” there

Dusting off one of my old theories, and with the recent manga release, I think BB is lying here. I believe through betrayal and WG strategy, Rocks lost GV. BB seems in the manga to always tell half truths. Even after learning Koby was part of sword, he says he isnt changing his TACTIC. I think he wants cipher pol, escaped pirates, spys...ect to reveal his supposed plan to the WG. BB is going to create his own version of GV soon, except he is the one controlling the situation. Where rocks allies may have abandoned him, the seraphim will do the same, betray the WG and join BB. BB is going to want the government to agree to a trade for Garp, with every expectation of the WG betraying him with a massive force. BB is going to surpass Rocks by not making the same mistakes, even if that means lying to everybody near him, but in the end acquiring all the power.

If Rocks soul is indeed tied to BB in some way, and some of that experience is within BB, then this even more emphasizes that Rocks would not get beaten again by the same tactic. We already see Rocks tell everybody he needs harald, certain devil fruits...ect. Good for the reader....but terrible naive strategy that the WG can learn and use to break you.

With how many things are happening at once all at once and with black beards clan not being able to sleep, what if it's because they can't stop seeing the future.
Black Beard's fruit is similar to a black hole, a singularity that where light, time, and space can't even escape.

Blackbeard is the master opportunist. He has the broad strokes of his plan laid out, and can very effectively improvise on it depending on what circumstances arise.

Recruiting Kuzan is an example of this. He didn’t account for it, but played it to his advantage. See also his attack on Amazon Lily, and his flexibility in having Garp hostage instead of Koby. He takes what comes and molds that to fit his designs. Even the law ambush was a gamble.

I think it makes sense that Garling is Dragon’s matchup in the final war, the chances of Dragon fighting Garling during God Valley is extremely likely as well too, being good set up for their eventual final fight. The fact Dragon wasn’t able to save Shamrock, makes it seem that something did happen during Dragon’s mission that screwed it up, Garling being the one who interferes makes the most sense since it’s his kids. Garling would prob outmatch Dragon pretty easily, but i think Dragon will get his fruit from one of the chests that he puts baby Shanks in and then will manage to take on Garling.

I’m starting to believe that Teach’s Dark-Dark Fruit is the reason he’s able to hold more than one Devil Fruit. I think it’s a secret known only to the Davy clan, which explains why Teach was so determined to obtain that fruit first. The ability of the Dark Fruit to extract powers from a recently deceased corpse is a grim but fitting concept that makes sense within the story. Rocks’ original plan wasn’t just to acquire the Dark Fruit and for Harald to obtain the Nika Fruit in order to defeat Imu. He intended to betray Harald—just as Teach betrayed Whitebeard—by killing him and taking the Nika ability from his corpse, giving Rocks both powers to overthrow Imu and claim the throne. Rocks’ ambition to become king wouldn’t work if Harald and his Nika powers remained. Rocks did say that pirates aren’t to be trusted to Harald after all. However, I think Rocks experienced a change of heart after starting a family. Harald’s own love for his family may have been what caused Rocks to begin seeing life differently. I could see Harald being the one to save Rocks during the God Valley climax. The only reason I’m not completely certain is because we’ve never heard about Harald’s role—but that might be intentional, since the World Government wouldn’t want that truth revealed. To me, it fits because this is ultimately Harald’s flashback. His redemption could lie in saving Rocks, but doing so may carry heavy consequences—possibly leading to Ida’s death and eventually the Domi Reversi falling on Harald.

The Ancient Kingdom, in turn, was a pseudo-attempt to revive the First World civilization. For example, Emeth was not a true robot army, it wasn't powered by the Forbidden Sun, but directly from Joyboy's fruit himself. So it could be that by using his fruit's power, Joyboy could revive all First World technology that was originally powered by the Forbidden Sun.

I think Teach said the dark dark fruit can negate other devil fruit powers. Devil fruits are the embodiments of the hopes and dreams of people from long lost civilizations. I think the dark fruit is actually the anti-dream fruit. It allows him to hold multiple fruits because its "surpressing" the will of the fruit itself. So the dark dark fruit is almost like the conquerer of dreams, hope, and will. Which is also why I think teeth doesnt/cant sleep. He had to learn from a young age not to have his own dreams so that his own will properly aligned with the dark darks fruit will when he finally found it. Probably imbued on him from Rocks. It could be power, or Imu realized in the end that Lily was truly in love with a D and took the name. Imu could be an immortal 15 year old for all we know. Was lily 18 years old when she left redline? 30, 60? Perhaps Saint Imu and Lily had an arranged marriage that produced a child, but ultimately Lily wanted to be with Joyboy? I don't think the "D" is an actual name. I believe the D clan was a group of people who came together in the void century to oppose the World Government, and they decided to place D in their name and pass it on so their children keep on fighting for the cause, and to remind the government that there are still people out there who oppose them. What are your thoughts on vegapunks mother flame being a devil fruit that was given to a fire. We saw he was trying to give a weapon a gun fruit and succeeded. He failed to create an artificial logia fruit. So what about giving a zoan to something with logia properties like fire?

This idea isn't new to the one piece universe. Ceasar was able to give a devil fruit to condensed poison gas in a gel form.

Because it's original "body" doesn't have a fixed state, it was able to have a sort of free forming ability. This is evident by smileys ability to create a cannon out of his body to shoot himself across the lake.

The other crazy implication here is because his form isn't fixed, he can essentially duplicate himself. Each fraction of himself was connected to the main body. When one got killed the main body would scream. However we don't know if the mini smiles also have the transformation capacity. But we do know they were sentient and alive pieces of the main slimeys body.

So if ceasar is capable of this, why couldn't vegapunk do something similar?

• Anyone can do it, BB did it to teach, BM to Carmel, Burgess tried to get Luffy on Dressrosa.

1 thing they all have in common are larger body types however, most likely not connected.

• Whatever the act is, BB deliberately chose to hide the method.

• It is alluded to in the BM flashback she ate Carmel.

• When a user dies the devil fruit re-spawns in the world.

So I think when a devil fruit user dies, there is something sent out from them back into the world. I think what Devil Fruits are, are the concepts of people given will and that will has the ability to affect the world around it based on the concept depicted. Which is why people can be taken over by the will of the fruit and become the concept of the fruit (like animal types being a version of the animal), with fruits being the vessel that can contain the will without affecting the world.

So when someone is killed this manifestation of will is released and this energy can be trapped or re-directed into most likely a new fruit (which is what BB taught Burgess.)
However, you can bypass the will going into a new fruit by directly consuming the person who holds the fruit, as the will has a direct link to a new vessel.

When it comes to big moms death, I will say yes we see something coming out of her mouth but I don't think that was her soul, if you look when souls are used they have a fairly uniform colouring, what came out was shown to be an almost fiery demonic soul so I pose that was the demonic presence that had plagued her since she was born the demon of Gluttony, her hunger pangs

Interesting idea. But if you consider one thing, the revive fruit is unique in the sense it allows the user to bring somebody back to life. The soul soul fruit specifically cant reanimate a corpse (or put your soul into somebody else.) There is likely a certain ruleset with devil fruits about putting your soul into somebody else we have seen. The revive fruit a specific contract of the user, so its okay. Big Mom can't put souls into other living things or corpses. They are not under contract. She can TAKE life force away from people, either by contract or fear. Fear weakens the soul. Moria on the other hand can reanimate corpses and put his shadows into living things even, however these are not souls, but merely their shadow. The op op fruit you also mention, but that ability is extreme, it requires another soul to be sacrificed.

If fear can cause ones soul to leave ones body, then I could see how the soul soul fruit could basically cause so much fear for somebody at the edge of death that they put their soul (devil fruit) into another nearby object (effectively creating a devil fruit.) I think this is also playing a role in Elbaph currently, that fear and nightmares is what 'the bad guys' ultimately need. Like the Davy Clan hiding in God Valley, maybe this past HK stumbled across a clan of Lunarians, hiding from the WG's sight as they've been persecuted just like the Davy clan since the Void Century.

Alber was born the same year as this Hunting Competition and would have been a baby during it -- like Shanks, Shamrock, and Teech.

I have no idea how he was saved, how the Lunarians were exterminated in the end, what narrative implications can be extrapolated from this, but I think this would be incredible story telling and world building if this were to be the case.

Rocks did not die at God Valley, he died in the flower room. Most think that Rock’s threat to Imu would be more figuratively as Blackbeard would wage his war on celestials, but what if it did happen? The sword that appears in the throne room was not present during Rock’s first visit and resembles the sword we see him wield.

The god’s knights being present at the hunting competition gives Rock’s a perfect time to take on Imu, but how does he get there? Bartholomew Kuma and his new paw-paw fruit. We know that kuma can only send people to places that he’s been before; and I do find it likely that he has been to the holy land as part of some slave transportation center.

I’m theorizing that at God Valley, Rocks sees the horrors happening to his family/people (or gets so badly beaten by the combined forces of the whoever sides against him), that he asks a young Kuma to send him to the holy land to fulfill one final promise.

Once there he treks into the less guarded throne room and attempts to challenge Imu.

As some weird memento, Imu keeps Rock’s sword after killing him. Maybe it’s passed down to Shamrock, as the sword is not present during the brief look of the Flower Room during Egghead.

What if the one piece is also a device that can access a hidden city untouched from the void century that imu didn’t have access to, and that’s where all the secrets and history of the void century are hidden plus all the ancient tech they had like what we saw on egghead island.

Devil fruits first appeared around 900 years ago, which is also when the "immense kingdom" existed. I think that with their advanced technology, they were the ones that created the devil fruits. However, Davy Back wanted others' powers so he was imprisoned at the bottom of the sea. But before he was imprisoned, he infused part of himself to the yama-yama no mi to continue taking powers. I think this is also why people with devil fruits can't swim because Davy Back will drag them to the bottom of the sea and take their powers.

While Kuma is the only confirmed buccaneer, Blackbeard has always been believed to be one ever since their first mention, and now it has been hinted at in recent chapters. If Bb turns out to be a buccaneer, who else do you believe could be one based on their body type? For example Moria has a similar body type, I know he was different in the past so I do believe he looks like that because of Hogback and not because he’s a buccaneer, but he was just the best example of a physical likeness that I could think of.

Oni is just an speculation at this point. No real confirmation whether it is race related, yet.
However, it is predominantly used by Kaidou when regarding himself and Yamato. You can just chalk it up to their physical appearance (horns and their sizes) and brutish strength compared to your average humans, in general.
Horns are easily explainable and sizes are inconsistent.
And as for Ancient giants; they belong to a different tribe of giants.

Although they are much more powerful than him, Usopp being the reason that Imu lost control would be a big feat for him while also consistent with other things he’s done, as for example making sugar lose control in dressrosa

He wouldn’t need to empower them with strength but rather through trickery and deception he could be the reason that the situation gets turned around, although this is a bit less likely imo

I finished re-reading Elbaf and I have so many theories I can't wrap my mind about it. Probably will take a couple tries to write. The one below is just one out of many

Elbaf origin: Elbaf is the original name of the island without Adam tree, during the First World, tens of thousands years ago. I also agree with something being off here. It’s very weird oda ditched the original BB mom design (that looked very much like she could be his mom) for a woman that looks nothing like him and is an exact clone of olvia to the point that my first reaction was “wow that’s Olvia… it can be I just guess it’s a different person”. BTW Olvia was also in an island destined to be destroyed, with D people (clover and the davys) and with an archaeologist children (BB isn’t but oda said that’s what he would be if he wasn’t a pirate). So, it’s not just that she looks like her, she is in a very similar situation.

I do personally believe that onis are a race although that might be false considering the big mom 3 races thing. When it was originally revealed I did have the assumption that Moria would also be revealed to be apart of that race, which does seem more likely to me considering his wano connection. I have a theory on how blackbeard obtained whitebeard's powers. So after killing whitebeard, blackbeard used his powers to force the "soul" of the devil fruit into himself. Thus, allowing him to have two devil fruit powers without dying as he technically did not eat another devil fruit.

I think Imu’s power of binding and contracts was able to lock down the whole world. However, I don’t think it works on people who are truly free.

Essentially, I think not just Luffy, but anyone who reaches for that ultimate freedom, are immune to Imu’s binding powers. If I’m correct, Imu is determinism, and that makes Luffy an unbeatable counter cause none of Imu’s most powerful attacks could really land on him, i.e. Enel with lightning vs rubber, determinism vs freedom.
