Leyendecker, Sargent, Velasquez, Schmid, Rockwell, Sorolla, are all classics to start with

but it honestly doesn't matter. some of these guys worked in different mediums and subject matters, so the choice is yours

Leyendecker was great because he was stylistically in a league of his own. And, like Rockwell, could really generate a lively feeling in the characters he painted

a better example of what I mean by "lively." You can really feel the movement/gesture in these characters

I recently bought a pen to use with my surface pro, but pencil and paper is just 🔥(one piece manga spoilers)

In the future, if you can, avoid any tools like that as it can easily become a crutch without even noticing. Try to paint raw and correct mistakes only with paint; it's harder but strengthens your understanding of fundamentals and shape language. In the future, once you feel you've nailed these fundamentals, then feel free to experiment with stuff like that, but don't rely on it when studying the masters.

Doing this stuff in oil paint helps you really notice this. Digital, while great, sadly makes us get used to CTRL+Z and specialized tools that can expedite the process.

I am not telling you to start using oils, but it does force your brain to think differently than digital does.

Experience wise, I've been drawing since I was 5. Professionally, I'm going on about 14 years. Glad you like the colors. And as a side note: don't stress over brushes, a competent professional can make a good painting with a basic round brush or the fanciest texture brush possible.
