I know it was the right thing to keep the ip going towards "soul" and "nostalgia." Now that it's been years now, I believe Doom fans should have a soft spot on Doom 4 just like id and Hugo do

The hell on earth leak thing back in 2010 got me excited

I am still glad we got what we got. It was the right move to keep the IP alive for more than just making another Doom in the long run

Yet I see Doom 4, Looks like it has so many ideas implemented in for the player to experience a Doomed earth in the eyes of a mortal human

With the action vibes of any Doom game. Badass looking guns and demons

Regarding releasing actual development tools, it's hard to do when those incorporate licensed third party technology such as humbra (which require some tools to run on the map in order to generate occlusion data, those are not public ).

Up to idtech4(not sure about 5) everything was in house and John Carmak pushed to release the source code of the engines after some years. That made the possibilities limitless for modders. Now id has totally changed in that regard.

Circle strafe, and use the Gauss to boost yourself away from him if he charges you. To avoid his laser, continue strafing in one direction until the sound cue plays, then instantly change the other direction. That’s really all there is to it. Keep your distance and you’ll be fine. Hope that helps

I didn't even 100% on my first playthrough, ironically enough.

I also beat DOOM Eternal at 100% TWICE (HMP & UV), which is also very ironic.

2016 doesn't even have stickies, just exploding mortar shell rounds. Yeah they det on impact but have a significantly slower fire rare than it's eternal counterpart. It's the long range option for the shotgun and honestly I do like it

For me honestly 2016 nightmare is ridiculous, the amount of damage the demons deal per hit and how slowly you get armor and health in 2016 because on nightmare you only get 5 health per glory kill it's ridiculous. Makes Eternal nightmare look easy for me

And the ungodly amount of imps that deal like 50 damage per hit it's definitely not a very pleasant experience
