Like the boss that is like one of them at first but then you fight two more right after, where the best course of action is to use the triple shot with the shotgun when you get an opening to attack, and then shoot the big ball of energy normally before it fires it at you to stun it, before shaving off a bunch of its health with the chaingun turret

In a lot of ways, the Quality of Life is better. Button mapping, no cutscenes. Snappy controls. No lag. It's a pretty smooth experience even without mods. It's not the best game ever without pwads but it's still good

It basically slows down time, but damage from the BFG is not.

It multiplies instead.

So if you fire it to the Cyberdemon and immediately hold the weapon wheel button for a long period, the BFG ray will deal more damage in real time, draining Cyberdemon’s health quickly even when time is slowed down.

This can be used as some safety net during bosses.

If you aim it precisely and do this, by the time you release the weapon wheel button the boss would have already been in its glory kill state.

well, there isn't really a mod, it mostly just depends on your playstyle. The Cyberdemon boss can be beaten more easily with the gauss cannon, but don't let that be a roadblock.

can someone help explain how spawn cap works in the game? In this case I specifically mean in mission two (resource operations.) I'm aware of the spawn cap thing where only a certain amount of enemies can be present on the map at once, but it almost feels random. It feels like enemies will just despawn or die or something and I cant find out how to get this down consistently.

hey all, so my doom experience this far has largely come from classic doom, which is pretty cool. then i tried doom eternal and it feels sluggish with the glory kill mechanics and platforming and i keep getting confused with all the things you need to do to kill cacodemons and whatnot

you can just not do glory kills, faster not to anyway. Platforming is rather quick if you get the movement down. Either way, doom 2016 has less "Extra stuff" in terms of flame belch, dash, platforming, reasonably effective glory kills, mod swapping.

With that said, doom2016 movement(at least casually), is slower than eternal
