It depends on the person. If they play like a coward then it's a slow horror. If it's your 130th playthrough and you're beating it in 4 hours no stop action with nightmare mode it's definitely doom. I would know. But for the average player I can see where they are coming from

Original is darker, flashlight mechanic and has full content. It's more of the original experience meant to be played slow and emersive. Bfg tried to get rid of that more ammo and light and some cut content. In my opinion structured to be faster paced

A cd key is a series of letters and numbers you enter during installation of the game when using a disc. To confirm its yours and stops people from using the game illegally. No idea why you would need it for a steam download

They’re okay at a long range, either that or they suck. Shotguns are specifically designed for you to charge and get closer and you get rewarded for risking your tail to kill an enemy up close.

I feel like that’s how the Doom 3 shotgun was designed in mind, it’s a gun that requires you to use some skill and weapon swapping and you get rewarded for that, if you know what I mean.

Like I said, Doom 3 shotgun can be better, it’s not perfect, it should do way more damage even at close range, but I think calling it “bad” is sorta over exaggerating.

There's a handful of enemies that only barely appear. I can only recall two, maybe three Arch Vile instances, two in the same level. I think Ticks only appear in two levels (not to be confused with Trites) iirc. Those flame zombies were neat and there's only 2 in the entire game.

From what I looked up, it depends on what kind of ammunition you use, for said shotgun. I watched a video of someone shooting a target using slug shells, the max distance is 50 yards however, as you get further away, your pellets will start to miss even more.

Hey everyone, I just downloaded Doom 3 on gamepass for pc and for some reason it won't launch. When I click the icon it briefly gives me the little loading symbol but nothing launches. I looked up a few fixes but nothing is possible atm. I tried going to the game files but I can't seem to find any within the game folders even after uninstalling and reinstalling. All of the gamepass for pc bethesda titles seem to have a lot of issues running it seems.

Probably on purpose, I’ve mentioned before, I think they wanted the gun to be a skill-based gun, like, switch weapons and then switch to the shotgun for the final blow. But you can just use the shotgun for an entire level if you wanted, I’m sure it’s possible.

I felt like a damn slow as turd the one time I played half life. And no matter how fast I tried to be id still be slow trash. At least in doom 3 the game tries to scare you to be slow but nothing stops you from going into slayer mode
