Lock on doesn't work on Marauder unless he's already been stunned. And you don't have enough time to SSG then swap to lock on to get the burst UNLESS you also use at least one grenade to keep him stunned while firing the 3 rockets.

There's some nuance here and there but considering you only just discovered quick swapping to beat them, I don't think you'll be able to take advantage of the nuance for 1 cycles and what not.

tbh marauder isn't too difficult to deal with he isn't super tanky and his attacks are super predicatable

just know the timings and the 2 weapons you need and repeat a few times

i guess the most difficult thing is getting the distance right so he does his glowing eyes attack

There's plenty that causes them to be bugged.

Originally in older patches, it was literally impossible to stun a Marauder if he was on sloped surfaces (most notably Taras Nabad stairs).

Friendly Fire causes him to bring shield up INCLUDING mid swing, which does 2 things: messes up your parry timing, and makes him spawn a wolf.

The devs confirmed this was a bugged interaction, but they "decided to keep it" despite most players considering it generally unfun and making it more frustrating rather than adding depth.

There's some other issues where their sideways dash can put them into weird locations, most notably in master levels where they aren't normally present in base levels (SGN 4 portal room is the weirdest example)

Also sometimes the Marauder will never actually flash green, just stare at you OR stare + shotgun you. Normally he'll throw an axe, then do a green flash, maybe a shotgun, but every so often he just gets "stuck in a loop" or something.

After beating the game 3 times, twice on 100%, once on any%, once on nightmare, once on extra life and once on too young to die(up to taras nabad) and after messaging Bethesda i finally got the last achievement that i was missing and finished my platinum trophy

There are a couple of potential answers as to why they look the same. Some take it as confirmation Doomguy was always a Primeval and the Divinity Machine "unlocked" his powers rather than "gave" them to him.

I personally am of the opinion that it's essentially cosmic coincidence. Statistically people can always look the same as others simply because there are only so many different faces. I personally believe Doomguy just so happens to look like Davoth as a sign of his destiny to be the one to defeat him.

Even with various arena skips, a player can get lock on burst fully upgraded by they time they get LoB, which is really the only "important" weapon to upgrade.

If you also do the secret encounters + fights that don't get skipped in a typical/casual playthrough, you can also probably upgrade SSG and maybe Stickies.

Then once you get Dblade you can upgrade that.

So typically the Slayer gates as a whole are superfluous since they don't really give any advantage in terms of what can get upgraded, except maaaaaybe upgrading stickies earlier than normal.

PB doesn't really benefit from any of the upgrades if you do even basic quick swaps (let alone PB rocket or punch swaps). Unupgraded PB also outperforms MM most of the time even if MM was fully upgraded, so really the best use of weapon points is either sticky bombs, or saving for Lock On (and then SSG to get the SSG mastery)

the scariest part about dredges is a slam hitting you directly (not the damaging pool the slams leave, though you can't really afford to stand in it that early in the game) which is consistently avoidable by just walking away.

revenant lunges get progressively scarier the more you go above 60fps since they gain insane magnetism. their swipes will follow you across an entire room. even without that factor, the missiles hit you much more reliably than anything the two dredges can do. the missile damage combined with revenant swipes still being kinda threatening at 60fps makes them a much more potent run ender there

pretty sure dredge has at least one move that can delta correct a stupid amount, but i'm serious. they do barely anything in that gate.

you can probably get away with getting the upgraded walk speed when scoped in, but it barely makes a difference. the upgrades don't affect things like punch cancels or quickswaps at all.

stickies deal damage in two parts: on impact and on explosion. the impact deals 50 damage while the explosion deals 350, for a total of 400. sticky headshots double both so you get 800 damage, but you can get a sticky bodyshot to deal 750 damage if you flame or dash into the enemy after the sticky has landed, because for whatever reason both of those options are allowed to double the splash damage.

idk how the splash is applied exactly but on hell knights, pb > blood punch > sticky > double dash into knight is a guaranteed stagger

there's two ways you can falter him without him going green, is micromissiles on ground next to him and stickies, then you can shoot ballista at his feet to stagger him assuming he has taken aoe damage

yes whilst he's falter yes, but he quickly recovers so you don't have much time for combos

you can one cycle him if you are really fast and very precise with combos, but it's quite difficult and requires very good timing and using various tactics. But really in general try and focus on just keeping a certain distance so he doesn't charge you or zip around you, and hit him when he's green with some combos, and take care of wolf with plasma or whatever you prefer

for the one cycle ones it's like you need to have perfect switching and drop grenades and do many things in perfect timing basically. You can do that using various combos like you can include punches and plasma bursts and grenades and other things like that.

so just focus on like killing him normally instead over several times of him going green.

Have your Super Shotgun ready and stay far back. When he starts running towards you, that's when he'll probably do the green flash and swing at you. That's when you hit him with the Super Shotgun, which will stun him, and give you time to shoot him again or hit him with a Blood Punch.

He only ever summons his Wolf if he takes gunfire to his shield, so don't shoot him head on, he'll take no damage from it.

oh i know it take a while, what i do is i just leave it turned on overnight if it's slow. But yeah, i guess you can delete some of the old driver files, but it's better not to just start deleting all kind of stuff you not sure of what does.

hi everyone sooo, i'm trying to get into doom eternal but i'm having the boot up "teleporting" issue where my game just doesn't want to load past that point and was wandering if anyone else here had this issue or smth similar and could help me out

try and validate your files via steam, and also set in steam settings for game +com_skipIntroVideo 1

sometimes you need to delete some files manually after uninstall depending on the game. Try and find the folder and just delete it, if you are sure you have uninstalled correctly.

you cant kill a god with there sphere you can only kill a god in its physical form thats the reason why doom guy destroyed the fathers sphere the father is just a presence

meaning the father could only watch talk whisper
