That would require a bit of experimentation with the controls then. But even with wacky controls you’re still dominating nightmare, which means to me that you’d do well once you figure out which controls work for you

Where that rock is, go to the opposite side of the hallway (the side with the longest distance.) You will find a statue and you will see the crack. Punch it and you will find the button.

I can say that the controls feel much more responsive on PS4 than Switch if nothing else. Incidentally I tried the Mars Core ML on Nightmare again (Switch, like yesterday) and made it to the Marauder fight. I think tomorrow I’ll try one of the other Master Levels as I’ve only beaten Arc Complex ML so far and I only got as far as I did in Mars Core after a few hours

I still find it so amusing how weapon switching was not really supposed to be the way it happened to be in the game but it was a mistake, it's like when ID messed up their code so you could strafe and circle jump and bunny hop and these things. And it wasn't on purpose just cause they are bad at coding 😄 I love to make such mistakes, i can't help but think it's a little bit of gimmick because it does work well together with the game the tech and so on that various people have discovered

it kind of seems a little gimmicky to say "oh it's a mistake totally" and then it works pretty well together as if it was intentional with you have fast weapons and then slower ones. That whole gunplay and tech is such a big part of why the game is fun to play.

it works perfectly that it makes the gunplay interesting and all that tech and stuff like that. You can see with stuff like fast deathblade tech that it's clearly bad coding that leads to this exploit where it inherits animation speed. But at same time, would you want it without that 'bug'/tech in it? no.. i wouldn't, it's awesome. It's like the bugs make the game more interesting than what they are trying to really accomplish. Oh meathook slings you further when you have higher fps, ah total design decision coughs, oh you go flying up into the air when you punchswap close to a target sometimes. Design decision right there! 😄 all these bugs the fast swaps everything. Are clearly bugs, but at same time is what makes the game awesome which is hilarious.

Slayer is meant to be like a race car experience, and you currently driving like 10 mph. maras have 5000 hp, and the spirit in this case scales damage by 0.33x

hammer into bfg is nowhere near a one cycle, the fastest possible way to cancel out of a bfg shot (chainsaw into crucible into normal weapon) still doesn't make it anywhere close to a one cycle, and you're spending a resource that's not easy to replenish on an enemy which can be comfortably one cycled with resources you can get back practically immediately because you're equipped w/ hammer here

i'm ngl, ignoring all the fancy one cycles for the sake of simplicity, i'd just do pb > hammer > mobile turret + frags

In the walkthrough you take a closed elevator up to that area, and then you take a circle elevator up from there.

That said, the one in the parking garage, you should be able to go through the parking garage by going through the exit doors (the one that leads outside to the first arena outside)

It’s the one in the boiler room with the secret encounter. Looks like you take a closed elevator up, then the big open round elevator after to shoot the tentacle. Then the big open elevator back down to the parking garage

So if you have a podium from a later version, and then downpatch, then go back to current patch, you'll have a podium where the Slayer is NOT on a podium, and he'll rotate 90 degrees to his left (so he faces the demons)

It makes for some funny intros like him waving the demons toward him, or him thrusting out toward them

I’m still improving in other ways, even without the stress. I’m at Cultist Base now and having a hard time even beating it, much less deathless. Maybe UN will be a next year thing, when I’m so bored I need it. But I’m working on using all my arsenal now, so it’s not like deathless is the final frontier.

UN in campaign is a very specific grind. Only do it as a personal achievement if you want to.
Fun fact: I've started 4 or 5 UN runs on campaign after my successful run and failed each, gotten to dhb at best.
And I am a better player now than when I did successful run.
