Battle mode is dead on switch. As to whether it’s really that bad, it is difficult to tell because, besides watching videos of people swapping very quickly, I don’t know anything better. My decision to get the Xbox will ultimately depend on whether, as is rumored, Xbox releases a Goldeneye remake. But I was already thinking about it based on my lower-quality experience with Doom.

I always do it the first time you encounter him. They have the same health as a normal prowler, so the only thing different about them is their curse. The ballista has to be a direct hit.

Once you get cursed, the only way to kill kim is by hitting him with a blood punch. That removes the curse and the CProwler immunity.

start on UV or HMP difficulty, the master levels are a different beast to campaign.
Also the newer master levels, super gore nest, taras nabad, mars core, are harder than arc complex and cultist base if you have it

Hell on earth isn't that bad. Just don't get too close to things. That's the major mistake when playing UN. Most players just get too used to using shield and having a ton of life that they forget that Cacos and Spooders do insane amounts of damage. Keeping distance is a key factor. Same applies for cultists. Once you get the RL, keep distance and use PB rockets or lockk on once you get it.

because that's how the human brain works, unless one has issues with both long term & short term memory. it's evolved to to be really good at adapting. i should say "not required" instead of "irrelevant", because in vanilla nightmare, the highest possible damage is still not enough to kill in one hit, let alone two. as long as that is true, you can do almost whatever and still win as long as you stay above the health threshold of dying from a single hit.

In Facility, the 2nd level of Goldeneye, Dr. Doak spawns in 1 of 3 possible locations on the level, and you have to find him. Until you go through a TON of playthroughs, you don’t anticipate where he might be.

Now imagine TN ML if you didn't have supers in general. Those two BS rooms where made specifically for that reason which I truly hate. 1. The Icon of Sin, whom he kills by blowing its brain up with a rocket launcher
2. The Dreadnought, whom he kills with the use of the Crucible
3. The Great One, whom he kills by unknown means
4. The Icon again, whom he kills with the use of the Crucible

All we know about his battle with the Great One is that it took place in the Umbral Plains, and its body would later rot and become the entryway to the Titan's Realm. This battle took place sometime in either the Second or Third Age - so, after the fall of Argent D'Nur but before the Slayer was incapacitated by the Deag.
The lore heavily implies the Slayer used the Fortress of Doom as well as his full arsenal during his millions-of-years rampage across Hell in the First, Second, and Third Ages.

Thus, the Slayer most likely had the aid of his weapons to help him take down the Great One.

I'd also like to point out the fact that we see a ruined Atlan battlemech inside the Fortress of Doom, which means the Slayer used it at some point before the events of Eternal - quite possibly against the Great One millennia prior.

In regards to this, you don't necessarily need a Crucible to kill a Titan. It's just that the Titans are so incredibly strong and resilient that a Crucible is basically the only efficient way to kill them.

You can fight and kill Titans with just an Atlan, or, in the Icon's case, outright pumping rockets into their brains. These methods aren't quite as efficient as just weakening it and then sticking a Crucible in them, though.

Another thing to point out - it doesn't have to be, specifically, a Crucible. It can be any weapon powered by unfiltered Wraith Energy.

So it can be a Crucible, it can be an Atlan battle-sword, an Argenta spear, anything like that.

It's the Titan the demons sent after the Slayer as depicted in the Slayer's Testament. It has no official name.

rem det in general almost never does more than a sneeze's worth of damage because it has an INSANELY sharp falloff, and even with a PERFECT detonation, max damage is 600 so you're better off just going for direct hits (regular rockets do 900)

I think the main thing for me was on doom hunters. I've been trying to avoid using shield, and getting close to hit can end up dealing a lot of damage.

at 1x damage you don't really need these setups if you level up your movement, you get an insane number of ways to approach when you have ac equipped so in a lot of cases you can dash/mh fling up, use ssg as starter, then do a bp loop so you get 1000 damage for free

they're only scary in melee range, in which you wouldn't approach from the front anyway since their chainsaws are only effective there (they have like 1 swipe attack that i'm pretty sure doesn't even cover 180 degrees). once the sled is gone, you just backdash and pb bal. kinda interesting to think about how you move in relation to the enemies' kits
