Glitches in general are something I stay away from. But when they require skill to perform and increase the depth of combat in a game, it makes the game so much better.

The entirety of DE's best combat is just a "glitch", if one thinks about it.

To me it's not even whether people like or dislike glitches, why are the"not legal" XD there's LITERALLY a list of glitches banned from runs but people are just in their own little world

At it's core (and I'll admit this is more speculative than factual), I think people are just self conscious and think they're better than they actually are, and when they see stuff that can be considered glitchy, they say it's not valid to make themselves feel like they're superior, rather than learning/improving.

Note that's not EVERYONE, of course, but I think a large majority that say stuff like that think that.

There's also those that feel "cheated," I guess? Or "that ask dumb why didn't I think about that, instead I'll just say it doesn't count". Biggest example would be skipping the fog in Blood Swamps

I love ID's weapon design because they put lot of attention to such mechanical details.
