Nightmare is all about awareness. You can take big chunks of damage so you always want to keep moving and stay on top of your health. Also, you need to kill things as quick as possible especially super heavies

Biggest thing, don't tunnel vision. If you're say in a spot where you're at low health, use chainsaw on a fodder JUST for health (any kill at low health gives health). Even if you're fullish on ammo, nbd it's not like you necessarily lose the ammo (and if you start shooting the ammo does stay for a bit, so you'll still get ammo from the chainsaw)

1. Spooders, Mancubi and revenants are instant hammers because of weak points and you can put them in GK.

2. Spooders and Dread knights are a single hammer charge by using a Lock-on on them. Puts them in GK. Same applies for Cacos and sticky bombs.

3. 1 ballista shot puts Carcass and Prowlers in GK.

that's why i said if it's balanced for coop. i.e. it's balanced such that it is expected to be too hard for the average player and doable for 2 players

Even with respect to other modded MLs, Co-Op seems to be balanced on the lighter side. I guess a couple possessed demon waves here and there with a bit of occasional marauder spam, but it can be compared to an ingame ML.
