In Doom Eternal, on the Arc complex level in that small arena where they have I think it's a maybe a bazaarcs there or a quad damage here I can't remember but after you leave that Arena was a part where there were two cyber demons was that on the master levels I can't remember if it was the master levels or the regular campaign?

however, for the meathook, just using it very often is very easy and helps more than learning to yeethook

to ballista boost, you need to get into the air with forward momentum (like walking and then jumping, after a monkey bar or jump pad), let go of all movement keys (if you're using air control), turn around 180°, shoot your ballista, quickly turn back, and you got your ~20m/s speed boost! you can press movement keys after turning back (with a potential slight delay)

to yeethook, you just meathook and hold only one of your sideways movement keys (you should notice that you're gaining momentum), however, if you let the hook disconnect naturally you'll lose all the momentum, so to maintain it you have to either swap away from the meathook, look away, or punch (usually not recommended)

the engagement towards enemies is not the same

you can raise the enemy factor to x11 and it is the most sweat anxiety inducing gameplay ever

modern doom for some reason always just does not last long enough with the fights youll fight 20 enemies or something and a section is done serious sam just turns into a bullet hell with a thousand enemies

hard to say because of the amount of applications of the meathook, it comes a lot with time (if you make sure it just use it a lot), and it's playstyle dependent

i used to aircamp a ton, which requires different utilization of the meathook compared to a grounded playstyle

Does anyone have any advice as to how to know where demons are?

I have difficulty tracking where marauders, Barons, Pain elementals, Revenants are.

Relative to where I am.

It gets me killed I find because I run into them due to a lack of knowledge of their position.

Figure out which demons you kill to trigger them

But if you wanna play safe, stay away from claustrophobic pathways as much as possible unless you really need to

Also Super Heavies tend to spawn in open areas so it's relatively easy to keep tabs on them

I'm on the mars core master level where the marauders spawn.

2 of them.

The crappy thing, is even if you deal with the cyber mancubi and hell knights, they respawn.

The game requires you kill the marauders before them. 💀

Huh?? I've been told that you should know at the high level where demons are relative to you in your head.

That you should understand generally where they might be, and, what they're going to do to counter you.

it has to do more with being aware of what you can see, so looking at the edges of your screen for example
not putting yourself in positions where they can sneak up on you by not standing in spots where you can be surrounded, have no escape, or being in a place for too long for example
and if you see a caco at some place, and you turn your back to it, that's actually something you wanna keep in mind, but you can't remember every demons location

I see where I might have misunderstood that now.

I think I panic too much.

When I'm low health.

I either try to stand somewhere and wait for fodder to meathook on to for armor.

Or I run around aimlessly trying to find a fodder to get armor from too.

the archie was doing 120 damage a pop with his flames, and there were 3 of them, which totals to 360
max HP which is was at is 350

so even without the spectre pinky i was dead😭

I've been stuck on this arena for a long time! I'm not sure if there's anything I'm doing wrong that is consistently getting me killed.

There were a few obvious mistakes in there.

if you stay too long to try to do full swaps on them everything else swarms you
