When you put him in crowds of other enemies so you can't focus on him, that's a problem.

It's also a problem that there's no way to force him to use his one move that makes him vulnerable.

Yes if you fire up with it you can make them aim their shield at it and get some cheap shots, or pair it with other weapons when they're stunned

I think it’s great, the story is meh but I’m not getting it for the story, I’m getting it for the gameplay. TAG1 is significantly harder than the main campaign while TAG2 is about the same. I think they are really fun so they’re worth getting

You got new enemies a new weapon. The story itself is not that great but it's interesting, it can be confusing though. Soundtrack is... Okay, you barely can hear it, garbage mix. Exploration in TAG1 is in the same level of the main campaign while in TAG2 it's way easier. The boss fight is incredibly hard and annoying, 5 stages, 5 painful stages.
In general I give the dlc a 7/10, I expected more, but I had fun in most of it

For Doom eternal it took me like 50/60 hour but because a did all the master level first and then horde mode at 300.000. The attempts are like 5 because I died a lot of times at the start (level 3). TAG 1 my god it took me 5 attempts beacause I died 3 times at the final boss and 1 time for a shield soldier. TAG 2 first try.

theres also probably more demons because of the icon being there

i used to think final sin was a huge jump in difficulty too but you'll grow to like it and be good at it

if you want tips on the icon of sin do not be afraid to use crucible or bfg on the smaller demons there so many respawning pickups you could practically use only those weapons

you can also use up your bfg and crucible before the fight if you wanted to because of the pickups

Depends, Doom Eternal is really fun, but really hard sometimes. Be sure to collect all extra lives on the map, you'll need all of them

Because sometimes, the game just decides to throw all the demons in your face at once, and even in the easiest difficulty it can give you some trouble if you have a lot of strong demons after you. Of course, experienced players won't have the same issue, but for casual players or players that are not used to the frenetic gameplay, it can be hard in the easy.
Be careful for the parkour as well, there tons of spots that are hard to get right, so you'll probably fall a lot .
This of course, if it's your first time, for your comment I assume you never actually did it to the end, so here's my advice. Focus on the strong ones first, always aim for the weak spot before you go for the fight, weak demons are your ammo farm, BFG only as last resource, glory kills are your friends, they give you hp

Either focus them or ignore them. Big enemies like that do SO much damage so you need to be away where they can't hit you or actively killing them. Doom hunters are actually really easy to take out if you do it right, ice bomb/rocket/grenade to stun them, ssg + blood punch knocks them off their sled then a rocket lock on kills them

final sin is by far the hardest but if you know bfg routing its actually SUPER easy, theres almost no combat you have to do, devo has a playthrough that helped me a ton on my first UN run and he shows the bfg routing there

A few hours ago i played through the Cultist Base and Doom Hunter base levels in Doom Eternal on nightmare difficulty. These two levels are kinda known for being a pretty big difficulty spike after Hell on Earth and Exultia were mostly light. And yeah, these levels are tough. Mancubi kept killing me with their close-range attacks. My strategy of meathooking into them and doing a blood punch would often get me killed for that reason. At one point i restarted the level in order to get a different weapon mod for my rocket launcher. Instead of getting remote detonation first i went with lock-on first, because it does a shitton of damage, and is helpful against mancubi. With that, i was able to beat the slayer gate. Another thing i realized is that "never stop moving" takes on another meaning on Eternal's nightmare difficulty. It doesn't just mean don't stop literally moving, but you gotta fly around the arena with the meathook and dashes for self preservation. Sometimes you just gotta get to a spot where dangerous heavy demons like mancubi, pinkies, reventants, and whiplashes are not present, in order to use some fodder demons to get some health, armor, or ammo back. During the fight against the Doom Hunters, this became critically important. I needed to fly around the arena in order to not die (and remember i don't collect extra lives so if i die, i go back to the last checkpoint). It was tough but i won. Soon i'll play through Super Gore Nest and Arc Complex and see what happens.

great job! Those two missions are hard because you have to fight some heavy demons but you don't have many weapons yet. I love super gore nest, its probably my favorite level in the game. Good luck beating the game on nightmare!

Just killed the second hell priest, so far I'm not really liking this game. It's super janky and buggy and I really feel like they made the glory/chainsaw kill mechanics a lot worse than they were in 2016. Eternal is just vastly less polished from what I can tell. In terms of performance and bugs I agree, on a ps5 2016 runs super smooth, Eternal runs smoothly as well for me, no issues. As for FPS gameplay on controller I use the Claw Method for gameplay so I wouldn't recommend the traditional index fingers on triggers. I use one finger to press both the circle and triangle and square and X buttons simultaneously.

Glorykills and chainsaw kills teleport the slayer into the correct position to execute the action so this is extremely common. Your platform or device performance have no effect on it

Do you clip outside the map often? It's not super unusual to clip through the map. I've had it happen many times but it's a relatively rare occasion

Well, I love his work, but there is one thing about him that I do not enjoy. You see, he has a website where he posts all of his works, or at least he was supposed to. I know some music that he made, but he never uploaded it there. I don't know if he is still updating it since a few years ago there was only Doom music there, but it's kind of sad.

How much harder is Nightmare than Ultra Violence? Idk if there's a good metric to compare the two but I'm curious. I ask because I almost solely play UN and I know very well how hard the demons can hit when you've got bad movement. I've been watching Markiplier's playthrough (he plays on UV) and he really doesn't have an amazing grasp of the combat loop; as anyone would on their first run ofc. Anyway my point is I feel like he should be dying a lot more considering his low proficiency of the game so it made me wonder if UV is just miles easier than Nightmare or something.

Is there a chart that exists to compare the demon damage from difficulty to difficulty? Is it known what the damage scaling is from ITYTD vs UN? The difficulties just mention higher damage and aggression, but I've been having a real hard time finding actual numbers behind this
