It’s not a bug, for some reason they take the time to introduce the player to an entirely new mechanic just for it to be locked after its final iteration is completed in that save file

For something that supposedly exists to hone the players skills it’s a tad counterintuitive for it to become completely inaccessible the moment it presents something even remotely challenging in comparison with the end levels of DE

They hype it up with a mandatory introduction as if it’s something the player will be regularly coming back to and not just a one off gimmick

Mandatory introduction every time you play through the campaign as if its going to be a feature the player needs to use, the arenas it provides to the player end up being very tame, and on top of all that if you’ve decided you actually want to continue to use the feature that exists to practice, well it just locks it without warning and there’s no in-game explanation for this to my knowledge, leading to confusion to players, like the idea of something specifically to practice cutting you off from using it to practice just seems counterintuitive to me

Only being able to come back to it a finite amount of times in a campaign playthrough is just the most bewildering facet of it, there’s already next to no incentive to use it beyond its mandatory introduction, so even if a player liked it, the game decides to just kill the incentive for them by making them play an entire campaign just to have another shot at what is about 6-7 arenas each spanning only 2-3 waves long

I carry a somewhat similar sentiment, weapon tech can make the game easier, it’s a correlation that better players often tend to have better grasps on tech, but if somebody running around ssg ballista-ing everything on HMP hypothetically gained a really extensive knowledge of tech out of nowhere, chances are they’d be clearing the hardest base game content without much trouble

Although saying the more you know about the game makes you a better player feels redundant so it’s kind of hard to convey my point

According to id that was simply an accident. Narrative plans changed and that was mistakenly left in. So right now, there’s no information on who that voice is.

Safe to say it isn’t the Dark Lord, given id went out of their way to change it back to what it originally was.

So I found that in Doom 2016 on console, you can abuse the checkpoint system of UN by opening the map/pause menu and then turning off your console. Does this trick work on Doom Eternal or no?
