You can die any second, and you can't just restore to full armor and health whenever you want.

In DOOM 3, your health gradually drops by 5 every few seconds until it's at 25. If you get damaged after it reaches 25, the health will go down as usual. So it works like normal health once it's at 25. If you get damaged before it reaches 25, then it will still drop until it reaches 25.

DOOM is all in all a very diverse franchise, you have a few games that connect with eachother and then after that every game is practically different than the other, even RoE and D3. Hell, we even had RPG games. Bundle that with Wolfenstein and Quake and id's catalogue is in general very, VERY expansive. It's one of the reasons I love them alongside Valve and I am yet to touch any FPS that isn't Valve or id's franchise.

Resurrection of Evil is a banger expansion and better than the main campaign with the SSG, tighter and harder encounters, less imp/zombie closet spam, and introduction of Bruisers.

But when I first played DOOM 3 back in 2010, I was much more into Half-Life and Halo at the time.

Nowadays I see Doom 3 in a slightly different light.

I think when this happens, taking a break and going back to it...or just practicing new things helps. I hit a wall a month ago or so and have been doing mods and other stuff since then. I think finding a few things to do helps for improvement as well; maybe focus on different weapon combos, timing, and air movement. Enemy prioritization and checking to make sure your armor and health stack stays up is good too. Not sure if these tips are helpful-I can only speak for myself ig.

I want to correct this without being an asshole but what we were doing to achieve the number of 3 hours averaged per day was the amount of hours divided by how many days since launch, what you are doing is dividing the amount of hours since launch by his amount of hours, which only tells you how many times it fits into that number, and could serve as a percentage if done vice versa, but with this it seems to just be how many times one number can fit into another
