I agree. That's where I had one of my deaths on UN, the single doom hunter fight. I died pretty much right as the fight started, bc I rushed in to try to do as much damage as possible, and paid the price. On my next run that made it there, I knew why I died in the previous run and instead of rushing in immediately I backed off, made sure I knew what I was doing and then started damaging him, and I beat the level that time.

Wdym you suck at it? If you want tips for ssg pb combos, you can hold down L2 the whole time while you quickswitch between the two weapons and then just shoot when it lets you and switch again, never letting your finger off of L2. Learning that was what allowed me to start using SSG pb

@azure oriole had some questions about dr hayden's cyborg form because Im trying to get back into character design and figured he'd be an alright step-up (wanted to make my own version of him)

1. its seen in 2016 that he has some sort of electromagnetic grip that he uses to snatch the crucible from doomguy. is that a property of the crucible or does he have technology that lets him essentially use the force with certain objects?
2. dont remember this ever being explained lore or gameplay wise but does his cyborg form allow for hand-to-hand combat? i.e. would he be able to go head to head with say, a dread knight and come out on top

2. Yes. Hayden's cyborg form was intentionally built to be very strong. It tanks all damage from the Slayer and it's implied via environmental details that Hayden himself killed quite a few demons in Doom 2016. He likely would be able to take on many demons, but in Eternal they manage to tear him apart in a disastrous end to Operation Hellbreaker.

I don't think he remembers his Seraphim status fully in 2016, but his personality is still the same - a narcissistic, egotistical tyrant who excuses his awful actions as "good intentions," when in reality all he wants is to be the center of the story.

So to me the Seraphim and Samuel were already very similar characters - monolithic icons who aided the Slayer in their journey but were driven by arrogance and a wish to be worshipped rather than goodwill. So to me, it makes sense that they would be the same person.
