What combo are you using to deal with one marauder? If you haven't already, then I recommend learning the "shoot ballista at feet to falter" tech like in this video

You don't have to use both the SSG and Precision Bolt, I myself just use Precision Bolt and Ballista.
The main takeaway is just learning that after one cycle, you can cross the next damage threshold to falter by shooting the Ballista at the Marauder's feet. Aim it around his left or right side where the blast is just right past his shield.

Other than that, run circles around the map and never put yourself in a place where there's only one escape route if you can help it.

SSG + Ballista swap was early community strat when going against Marauders yeah, but as time goes on a lot of people start to realize that it's actually pretty slow and discovered other ways to quickly deal with Marauders.

Like I said before, I myself just use Precision Bolt and Ballista which is a bit faster and what I'm more comfortable with.

Yeah you don't have to learn every tech that speedrunners do, but they are still a really great source of learning how more experienced players dance around in combat

Well I personally can’t see what’s wrong with the clip at a glance but i Can speculate, for me it looks like you’re holding down right click on the SLOB which makes it fire the second volley eversoslightly slower, and the faltering process for the marauder to be stunlocked is pb is initial stun, frag grenade is second stun, and the second lock on volley creates a third stun, secondly if that’s not it, it could possibly be the fact that he’s facing backwards for the second volley firing, which might result in him blocking for unknown reasons, third and most likely reason is you’re firing the frag too early, you appear to fire it right after your precision bolt, and i personally do it immediately during/after the first lock on starts and i have a fairly high success rate, so just test out the multiple theories I’ve tossed around and such

Enemies in this game, their attacks function through a system called tokens, some attacks costing no tokens, some costing less, some costing big amounts, every attack that is executed consumes them, shared by any enemy that has a line of sight with you, the lower your difficulty is the less tokens you have, the best way to fix this is to make sure to look directly at the marauder in an attempt to override his tokens due to prioritization

I... Don't know where to start. Ever since I was a kid, I loved clicking button, shooting bad guy, watching them die. It was satisfying, and stress relieving. And sure, I'm still technically a kid now, but... I'd say I've shaped out nicely as a human. Enough of that tangent, being the hero in these games... It brought me dopamine. But more importantly, it taught me the truth that morals are infallible, that hero and villain are always applicable if you look hard enough -- but not necessarily to always look for it, and to consider both sides no matter what. It taught me that most grey situations can be turned black and white with just a bit of heavy-hitting thought. Though, I always learned these lessons over clean, simple mouse and keyboard. I never expected to come across a game that made me want to learn controller more in the FPS genre... Until, I, as angry as I am at myself for doing it, got ETERNAL on sale. I was, obviously, disappointed at myself for only considering it a game I could buy now, and just as it's ported over to console and pricedropped to high hell, it seems rather selfish. Especially since, this was the one game that, mind you, I haven't even finished, that made me desire mastery over a new medium of control. This was the only game that I could stomach, as an FPS, that had a gameplay loop rewarding and satisfying enough, to say "fuck it, I don't care about the medium on which it is given, just deliver to me the story and hand unto me the game"
And this isn't just about the fact that the game is fun; it's the only game that is a first person shooter, that, at it's core, was developed well enough to warrant thorough practice and time. Sure, I was mad at the devs a little for not including mouse and keyboard accessibility, but given the quality of game it is, I can't be mad for long! The combat is rewarding. IT. FEELS. BEAUTIFUL! I don't care for the gore, or the badass glory kills, or the absolute rush of adrenaline and

Testosterone as I litter 18 different mancubus-infested arenas with corpse upon corpse, all the while music blasts my brain into oblivion and releases thousands of tons of raw dopamine right into my bloodstream!
It's a game that, if reworked and made casually, toned down as an experience, I would still absolutely adore. It is, without a doubt, the most rewarding FPS I have played so far. And this is coming from a switch lite player! I'm on a LITE! I don't understand how they got the game to look this good on a LITE. Sure, you can easily see the frame drop in cutscenes, but my God is gameplay oddly smooth. I never thought they'd be able to pull it off.
It's not that this is just, a fun game, it's that this game is so rewarding and well built, that I am more than fine completely learning and mastering an entirely foreign way to play, on a screen so tiny I need a damn microscope to read fine print on it, just to get more hours in.
I will be purchasing DOOM ETERNAL on PC, at full price when I can, so that I can compare and contrast the difference in my playstyles between the two mediums.

I didn't find that it got necessarily harder because you improve as time goes on, but once you return to the beginning having improved, it'll only seem easier, until you crank the difficulty up a notch.

Yeah, you can't mod stuff yourself, but you can download the Machine Games mods and other official and unoffical add-ons.

To be honest, the Machine games mod for Quake 2 really saved the game for me because the main campaign was just too easy.

Apparently a lot of people don't realise that we get mods on consoles too. I was asking the other week when we'd get Sigil 2 for consoles and one guy was like "uh, why would they have mods on the console versions?" and like a few hours later, the PS4 mod dropped.

Although to be honest, I was more impressed with Sigil 1 than Sigil 2. People were talking about how difficult Sigil 2 was but I had no problem with it at all and I'm not even that good a gamer.

Because I can move around while holding supressive fire with the Unmakyr, whereas the BFG comes in single bursts which you need to be able to target for each enemy.

I tend to use the Unmakyr against Archvile etc.

The BFG is more for clearing an entire arena.

Whereas the Unmakyr is for concentration on individual enemies.

DLC levels are bigger than base campaign levels, and some of them have a lot of demanding effects/props, like the rain and waves in UAC Atlantica basically being a gatekeep for lower hardwares

Anyways perhaps it's an issue caused by your FPS? I play on around 65-80fps for most of the game and PB Punch-swap works fine for me

At the end of the heaven mission. I'm struggling to make a good swap combo on console. The crossbow takes time to charge and it's regular fire you have to be accurate with. I also just learned that the final update for the GL also allows you to shoot it faster

So I left my doom eternal disc at home and Im away, there is a sale where dlcs are like 8 bucks, now I already have the game still got the save and everything I finished it. What happens if I buy the standalone versions of the dlcs? Will it be just like buying the add ons but I just wont need the disc to play the actual dlc?

for glory kill challenges, I recommend using the Microwave beam to see the remaining HP of the demon so you don't overshot them

they were my bane on my numerous playthrough (especially the Pinky one on Super Gore Nest) until I learned the Microwave Beam strat

eternal doesn't touch HP at all, so that's already 10 times better.
they do touch damage but not to ridiculous degree. it's quite manageable and i don't think you can be 3 shotted unless you try (let alone that eternal makes oneshots literally impossible with light armor gating)

enemies are also just more aggresive, with 4 (?) enemy tokens being available to attack you on NM

well, i get some, but that's more because they themselves apparently can't aim and not because the whiplash is hard

but the base fire is really good too, same with rockets (both combined with PB ofc)

destroyers blade probably, arbalest is only decent against pain elementals and even then it's just on par with dblade which is better in most scenarios
