I always went for sticky bomb mastery and the rune that allows you to temporarily slow down time in midair. I also recommend making sure to start with using the points and coins first to strengthen health and ammo.

not really, you can lab out most of the executional stuff in this game in a couple of hours if you focus on it and have good examples to learn from

The rune to slow down time in mid-air helped in quite a few of my boss fights. It allowed me to disable several demon weak points while falling. Especially those revanents.

And those demons that look like someone put together a spider, scorpion, crab, and a turret.

It also allowed me to destroy those darn arm cannons on the mancubus.

Those turrets were a bit annoying to deal with sometimes. Once I had all the cheat codes I was able to complete several levels with only the combat shotgun, Super Shotgun, chainsaw, and the mini gun.

Cheat codes are fun. Especially when you try out photo mode, imo it's not a bad idea to use Sentinel armor in order to get close to the demon you want to take a picture of.

Infinite ammo along with Sentinel armor, infinite grenades, silver bullet mode activate all runes, and so much more. There was even a Quakecon cheat code that play stuff from Quakecon to make it sound like you are playing it in front of them. There is even a bonk sound effect for when you do certain glory kills.

I love being able to use the BFG nonstop.

I have not tried the other difficulties yet. My computer wouldn't be able to handle it as well. I use the I'm too young to die mode because I was still getting used to the game. My computer I play on can't handle the video graphics of the higher difficulties that are required.

1 of the first 2 mancs and 4 blaster soldiers need to die to spawn 3rd mancubus, that new manc needs to die to spawn 2 cacos( with slight delay from eachother) and 2 prowlers. 2nd caco needs to die to spawn the 3 arachnotrons one after the other with enough time inbetween to double SSG each of em. Clean imps and prowlers after final spider kill

I bought both DLCs and it was a big mistake. Now I am stuck in the very end of Level 2 because there is an area where you need ammo to push some buttons but I have no ammo. I killed all the enemies and walked the whole way back and now fuc**** ammo. Not only this the design of the dlc is complete garbage, I also can't complete the second level on easy mode. God damn

there's ammo pickups outside of both of the fog parkour sections that you could've just left on the ground

you have infinite ammo until there's no enemies around so there's no reason to pick them up as long as there are things to chainsaw

the big gates you go through to enter the respective sections on both ends of the map also don't lock behind you so you can walk back out to get the pickups whenever

I’m not a big fan of levels that are hard for the sake of hard, might sound like a “skill issue” on my part but I like levels that can be completed on a blind run

It's way too hard and very lengthy for repeat playthroughs

And for some reason the author didn't make the option to start the level from a new save? or they do and just didn't say it on the mod page

I’m a big fan of super gore nest master level, it’s just so versatile in its simplicity, it’s good for no health damage runs and just speedruns, or just a stress free playthrough

It's a masterpiece of a Master Level mod but I 100% wouldn't recommend it to someone who's just starting to get into Community Master Levels

usually ML mods takes like 40-50 mins on the shorter side, and 60-70 on the longer side

Run a Nightmare playthrough alongside your Ultra Nightmare playthrough, if you can beat a level on nightmare without dying then go for it on UN, then back to the Nightmare one, if you die on a level in the Nightmare playthrough then you know you need to practice that one until you’re confident, this is the age old babies first UN run strategy.

Tips for the Marauder:

• the Wolf Spectres only spawn if you waste your ammo on his shield or if an enemy attack hits him
• He'll run at you from far distances, increasing the rate of his green eyes
• He'll block the BFG-9000's energy balls, exposing his back
• His shotgun range is the same as your shotgun range
• He only throws his axe at a medium range

Could be, when I wanted one milestone (Weapon Mastery) I mastered all my weapons while replaying a mission with a regular cheat code, and I didn't get it. I played the whole campaign again, and mastered the precision bolt as last weapon without using cheat codes, and I got the milestone. I'm not sure though

When you’ve fought the marauder multiple times you understand his AI and how to fight him easier, the tutorial is quite misleading.

it's too much of a chore once you're decent at the game and stops being fun fast

they just don't match well into the arena fighting, they require basically your sole attention for too long in an arena with multiple demons

compared to the bmaykr which requires you to always pay a lil attention, and just quickly flick over to them when they trigger

You can actually fight other enemies and you’ll be fine

for one, rockets and grenades can cause splash damage, same with sticky bombs

BFG Energy balls can distract the marauder to pull his shield out in the opposite direction

SSG and Ballista are most effective for dazing

He only spawns his dogs if he’s attacked without the green eyes (with his shield pulled)

The splash damage is nearly neglible if you don't focus on it, and if you do you waste a lot of time and ammo (which is free but still).

Yeah.... bfg for the marauder dog.... you know, the thing you can just PB snipe or microwave beam to get another bal shot in on the mara.

And PB, ssg a bit less cause it's a bit too rng or you need to hug them.

Ha if only. random ass demons can trigger it cause of a bug... which ID happily announced they really like (idk why, it's awful and just makes the mara even less arena-synergistic).
