That's what I used to do as well, but I recently watched a video talking about speedrun strats of the game (I'm not a speedrunner, it was just in my youtube feed) and discovered the Precision Bolt + Rocket which are usually a much safer option to melt almost every heavy demons in the game, from a distance anyways.

I've decided that the poison prowler or whatever it's actually called is my least favorite enemy in the game

There's nothing I hate more than enemies who limit your movement capabilities, let alone enemies who do it permanently

I only played TAG2 twice so far but I've never gotten hit once by a cursed prowler I think

you just remember which arenas they spawn, and listen to their spawning sound cues

and remember, 1 ballista shot is all it takes to get a prowler to glory kill state

The DLC levels are bigger than the base game (approximately 30-50% longer when it comes to time spent per level) so I doubt you'd be issue-free

There's also a lot of hardware-demanding stuffs like the rain in UAC Atlantica and the massive battle at Immora

my FPS count on my old laptop was roughly similar to yours for the base game, and I couldn't play the DLC there without dropping to 20fps immediately upon entering UAC atlantica

Ok but for real though, I think Spirits are fine currently since they now take less time to kill compared on release (can't believe it took them so long to shorten that) and there's generally only 1 of them on the field, but Stone Imps is a pretty lazy attempt at forcing the usage Full Auto.

And now I'm looking at completing horde mode, finishing the campaign milestones, finishing the TAG1 milestones and TAG2 milestones, and then doing everything I mentioned previously (minus the milestones) up to thrice over on ultra-violent, nightmare, and ultra-nightmare modes

So I'd say the game has quite a bit of stuff to do lol

Doom Eternal is the first Doom game I've played since Doom 3 on Xbox Original. I play quake and the Unreal tournaments, but have been enamoured with Doom Eternal's campain so far- freaking awesome gameplay

Joke apart, try focusing on the icon, it is the only thing that make the boss progress, keep bfg for monsters, it is more efficient to gain time. Only kill arial monsters those are the one that can kill you, but the others, let them accumulate following you and destroy them with bfg alla at a time

the issue seems to be the game's dead zone (the distance the stick can move from its neutral position until the game recognizes it as an input) being so high that a small amount of dust or debris and whatnot just sabotages the inputs

some people mentioned that spinning the stick 10 times to clear the dust and debris or blowing air onto it or using a duster air spray on the left stick seems to fix it, it doesn't seem like a universal fix but worth trying at least

For players who didn't interact to the community much, SSG Ballista combo is a much more intuitive thing to figure out as "beeg damage combo"

Precision Bolt feels like it's only good for headshots or weak points, and normal rocket shots have slow travel speed and sometimes even feel like it does no damage

The arc and cultist lvls aren’t that good the other master lvls are some of my favorite parts of the game (when they don’t break)

Most of the ML bugs are fixed as far as I know though

I did run into a softlock at the end of Taras Nabad though, but it was after I finished the final encounter so it wasn’t that big of an issue
