Yep, a couple other things that will keep consoles around are easy of use and price. They are cheaper than a PC, and for a parent for example is easier to buy an Xbox or PS instead of a laptop that takes way more maintenance.

Personally I went from HMP to playing a tiny bit of UV but I jumped a bit too early into Nightmare, took me like 5 nightmare playthroughs to become alright at it, then it took until I had fully mastered NM Eternal to get over UN, but it takes time so don't be ashamed of feeling shit now, you can easily achieve that UN when you put your mind to it.

Because while it's fun to use in Eternal it's also somewhat detrimental to the weapon balancing as a whole. The existence of quickswapping weapons means this will always be the 100% objectively most efficient way to kill demons, which means getting out the plasma rifle or chaingun is now essentially pointless, as is using the heavy cannon's normal fire.

So that when the next game comes out everyones on the same page with no advantages, if it was high skilled players would just play it and get bored very quickly, the doom eternal noobs at launch are the doom eternal gods now.

@azure oriole You first of all need to use the correct runes, "aerial control/equipment cooldown/blood punch health. Then you need to learn to dash almost non-stop and use the correct weapons

That's all there is to it, easy to pick up, hard to master scenario

Funny you say that, the minigun is supposed to be a tool used against high level demons like barons, or hell knights, they are weak to those to incentivise the use of the chaingun, yet where it fails is that of the many cons people here are pointing out, I still think it can work, maybe something with limited ammo but packs a punch, not bfg level but strong to use in quick succession against like i said, armored/heavy brute demons

Prioritize getting the super shotgun mastery first, by the end of cultist base you should have it mastered. Map out sentinel crystal upgrade locations, and what you should upgrade. Memorizing fights also helps. Being really comfortable with nightmare gameplay is key

I opened up a ticket with Bethesda support about my campaign add on disappearing from my game. As explained yesterday I started up the game how I would normally and just wanted to play a master level. I get into the game and it shows a shopping cart next to campaign..

I go to check my add ons and campaign and everything else is installed. So I quit out the game, uninstalled 10mb Campaign so I can reinstall thinking it was a bug of some sort and the add on vanished after I uninstalled it.

After opening a ticket with Bethesda support and explained exactly how I did here, they sent me instructions on how to install add ons 🤦🏻‍♂️

What's the deal with spirits? They seem to ignore a lot of the core elements of eternal's combat loop and the gimmick with microwave beam seems to just be an attempt to encourage people to use micro beam instead of changing the mod itself to make it more appealing

they make a regular demon a more "boss" demon
having to use microbeam isn't really that bad cause PR itself is bad anyways, so atleast it is something about it now ig

But even the boss demon guys have regular stun timings, they usually just exert way more control over an arena by themselves and take much longer to kill. And, while pr's primary fire is mid, I at least found decent utility in the heat blast, kind of like how nobody uses hr primary fire but everyone uses pb. I don't think forcing the player to use an otherwise completely unused mod to kill one specific annoying enemy is a good way of making it relevant when you could just try to alter how it functions to better incorporate it into the arsenal

And no forcing the player to just use a gun is bad design, but spirits usually gain a pass on it cause Hb is quite bad aswell so noone really uses pr at all
