This is all really good. I’d also like to add that you should know your matchups. A mancubus will typically be easy pickings without his teammate, but be careful if you lose sight of them as they can rush you. Dread knight has to immediately die within the first 20 seconds or else you gotta start playing passively and maintain stack. Arch and rev kinda just do nothing I’m gonna be honest, try to catch them between dashes/teleports. Marauder can hurt if you push at him, so maintain medium distance and use splash. Pain elemental requires you to be constantly poking at them from long range with the ballista or precision bolt. Knowing the terrain helps, but typically you can just get around by using the jump pad that all maps always have near slayer spawn, and if you want to catch them off guard round 3 use the teleport to get behind them. When you’re running low you can use the other sides of the map. Also pro tip, you can fire a few ballista shots and chainsaw, it’ll bait out a loot block unless they’re actually good

It's ok. If it makes you feel any better I've been playing eternal for 2 years. I'd say ik the game from the back of my hand (especially tag 1). Yet I've never completed the base campaign on UN. Tried not too long ago. Died at the Kahn Mayker fight

because you have 0 upgrades, barely a shotgun, and a horde of demons between you sand the SSG.

but after you get the SSG it becomes a lot more managable

i recommend starting on UV if you're new to learn the combat loop.

Eternal has the better gameplay and movement, but there’s something about 2016 that’s so special to me

I also think that 2016 is a lot more visceral than eternal. The animations are a lot more “forceful” if that makes sense and the sound design is immaculate

But davoth is weak, his power was stripped away by the father with the only known fraction having been put in the divinity machine, when the polarity was reversed it gave doomguy his powers, so the way it worked is doomguy gained the a fraction of dark lords essence plus the essence of everyone else who had previously used the divinity machine, giving him superhuman strength, beyond what he already had, being able to canonically deflect bullets with his abs in classic doom, you can literally ask m0nologue, the dark lord was a practically normal human by the events of TAG2, the most threatening part of him was his mech
