Yeah definitely start on HMP because there's a LOT of enemies to learn in Doom Eternal. And it's better to learn their movement and attack patterns when they're not jumping you all at once like in Nightmare.
Also get used to weapon switching and learning your own set of effective combos in killing them with the least amount of ammo.

What are some highly-efficient combos for killing Cyberdemons? Currently on AG Part 2, and I've seen a recent uprising in Cyberdemons placed in a lot of arenas. I currently use Sniper mod machine gun + SSG + Ballista combo
Also god damn in Part 1 with that arena that has a spirit-buffed Marauder has got to be the most evil thing, I lost all my extra lives on that part
Once I got SSG on the main campaign of Doom Eternal, I went to see up some guides and noticed the quick to do Ballista+SSG combo. It made the rest of my experience far too easy even on Ultra-Violence
In fact most of Part 1 in Ultra-Violence felt very easy EXCEPT for that cursed slayer gate with a spirit marauder

May be weird coming from me, but I think some tricks would be harder for new players to get consistent to be useful for "easy UN". It'd probably be more beneficial to route using the lesser known and slower, but more consistent skips/tricks such as Pet Caco.
As much as I'm a proponent of people learning skips and shit because speedrunning is fun blah blah, there's a lot of slow but easy skips that would be great for "easy UN" runs.

tbf im talking about things like areas that are easily skipped or arent even required in the first place
many of the fights in each map can skipped by just moving forward
and entire areas can be skipped with a well placed hookjump
things like that can help someone run un or speedrun their favorite maps
plus a nice written guide with all the info and tech the community knows would be a great document for people to get better at the game
for example 150 weapon wheel speed lets you easily perform weapon combos as the wheel comes out fast but you can still use the regular swap without too much effort

I enjoy fighting them because they are a big target for weapon combos
