They’re all pretty important, if I recall correctly the top ones are environmental assists, full immunity to explosive barrels, barrels drop ammo, increased RAD suit resistance etc.

The best way to practice getting good at doom eternal goes beyond just being good at combos, but resource management, so just spam ice bomb flame beach in infinite ammo mode and you’ll become accustomed to using it every chance you get, you’ll be invincible

Also tactically using flaming hook is fairly useful, you can switch into a precision bolt and get 2/3rds of the armor it’d normally give you, or point blank them with the SSG to get the full amount, but it’s more ammo intensive

On older patches, each phase of Icon is basically an "auto scroller", each lasting about a minute.

On current patch it's still an auto scroller, but they changed a few things with the AI and it's now 2 minutes for phase 1.

So while there's a theoretical "fast way to kill Icon", there's a limit to how fast it can die, more or less.

When he's mid armor break, he can't attack. And on older patches, he will NEVER attack if he has another piece of armor that needs to break

but on current patch, instead he CAN do an attack before the next armor breaks... but only 3 times?

So on old patch it'd be 1 attack, followed by all 8 pieces breaking in sequence

on current its attack -> break -> attack -> break -> attack -> break break break break break break

Big news/update to the low% routing. APPARENTLY, unbeknownst to everyone because patch notes never detail ANYTHING...

Crucible used to work in water on 1.0 but got patched to not work in 1.1. So on version 1.0 of the game you can skip dash by crucibling the wall at the end of Urdak. So while low% skipping dash is possible... means we have to run on like the worst version of the game >_>

buuuuut then I got to Urdak and forgot Dash was needed for the wall. So for awhile I'd been trying to figure out how to "bring Crucible into water"

Are you clearing out the correct demons in order? For instance, for the first Arachnotron arena, Soldiers will infinitely respawn until the Arachnotron is dead. Then you need to kill 3 Soldiers before killing the imps, or the imps will ALSO infinitely respawn.

For the arena after you'd get Heavy Rifle (the big open one that leads to yellow keycard), you only need to kill the Arachnotron + 3 Soldiers, everything else is superfluous

Basically you mod cancel into another weapon and then you can punch swap it at the speed of that other weapon you mod canceled out of

It’s most practical use being the ballista, but you can also use it to slow a weapons firerate down if you need to do that for whatever reason

Yknow, console is NOT unplayable, just turn the weapon wheel delay to zero and know the location of each weapon on it

You can get good at it and be almost as fast as a keyboard player

However I do feel a little shameful since I used aim assist since using just your thumb to aim sucks

But it think aim assist is perfectly fine for controller users, for a high mobility game like this it’s almost essential to be able to stay alive consistently

• equipment fiend
• air control (duh)

When I got to Urdak, I switched blood fueled for chrono-strike

When I went below 50 health I replace blood fueled with saving throw

I really don’t like chronostrike, it slows the game down too much and it’s annoying when I’m trying to meathook around

But it helps with the maykr drones

For the maykr drones, you can meathook and head-shot with the SSG. I use it sparingly but it works in a pinch.
