I can't tell you how many times I've encountered gold slayers on Battlemode or with TAG UN gear that really makes me wonder how they got it. When they usually have UN master level stuff, their level is much better

Nero never had this issue in 4 because he had half the moveset, so exceed was actually important.

In 5 he was given devil breakers, and then post game his 4 devil bringer, exceed just limits your moveset dude.

Same with Vergil concentration, it's a dumb mechanic that shouldn't exist, instead of Vergil being op with a bar that makes him more op, he should just be weaker overall but not have a bar that dictates his strength mate.

He never had concentration in DMC3, that came with 4 and is still just, stupid, it's not even that important because you can triple JdC and get your bar back if you get hit

so it only messes up people who are trying to combo you know? It doesn't do anything to people who just spam the same broken move.

that's what I am complaining about mate, the game inherently has mechanics that don't reward you for doing what the entire franchise is built upon, being stylish, it rewards you for being spammy and just hitting a funny button every so often to deal 2x the damage.

That's why without mods Dante is the best designed char, he doesn't have that issue.

It's more so infuriating because you have just enough to justify fighting an archvile but not enough to get through the fight quickly once you get the hang of it which is very annoying
