But switch isn't that bad though to be honest. Sure, 120fps looks cool as hell and feels smooth, but also playing on switch isn't as bad as people make it sound.

Yep, usually gold slayer are not very good because they get too used to go all in against "dumb" demons in main campaign. In battle mode, a good demon team will make you pay if you go all in without being careful

Just went through it. Try using the super shotgun and ballista at first. Then when the invoking demon appears go straight to him with the shotgun and grenades. After that you'll just need to move around and survive. Hope it helps.

Think of Doom's multiverse like a spider-web, with each notch being a new universe. Hell is at the center.

There are alternate Earths, but there is no "alternate Hell". Hell exists below the multiverse and can connect to any dimension given the chance. Same goes to Urdak.

So Doomguy is fighting against the same Hell in Eternal that he fought against in Doom 1.

The Slayer's Testaments actually reference this...

"In the First Age... in the first battle... one stood."
This is referring to the events of Doom 1. The First Age began after Davoth was defeated by the Father; Hell's first invasion after that event was Doom 1.

Doom 2016 happens in the Fourth Age, which is eons and eons later. So, that means the events of Doom 1 are near-mythical from Hell's perspective. To them that shit was prehistoric - there's more time in between Doom 1 and Doom Eternal than there is the creation of the multiverse and Doom 1.

The Classic doom games supposedly take place in 2022, and Eternal takes place some time during or after 2163 (based on the logs of Dr. Elena Richardson). The Slayer fought hell for eons thanks to the power of the divinity machine halting his aging, and was only discovered thanks to the efforts of an alternate UAC, right?

Keep in mind, the Classic Doom games and the newer games do not take place in the same dimension.

Also, the Classic Doom games taking place in 2022 is a misconception. It came up from the SNES manual, which isn't canon. The original game has no known year, but I'd suspect it to be in the 2100s judging by the other dimensions also having their games at this time.

By the time Doom 3 happens (the Third Age of Hell), Classic Earth is probably a smoldering crater since it's been millions of years.

And by the time Doom 2016 happens (the Fourth Age of Hell), the same has probably happened to Doom 3's Earth.

Doom 3's protagonists are all unrelated to the Slayer, beyond the argument that one of them may be an alternate version of him. The Slayer is mentioned in 3's lore thanks to 2016 and Eternal retroactively establishing shit, but he's nothing more than a background character.

Particularly, 3 mentions the existence of a "Martian Hero", a warrior who fought back the forces of Hell many years ago on Mars before humanity existed, using the Soul Cube. Said Hero is drawn to look virtually identical to the original Doomguy, and he's helping a race of human progenitors that 2016 and Eternal would later establish to be the Sentinels.

So the implication there is that 3's Martian Civilization is a sect of Sentinels who were able to move a universe to the left to Doom 3's Mars. They're probably how Doomguy found his way to Sentinel Prime, IMO.

They are of no relation. Spiderdemons are simply high-ranking demon generals - they command Hell's hordes and are pretty smart.

Another example: Doomguy rendered the original Hell Knight race, which we see in the original games, virtually extinct. They were replaced by the modern Hell Knights Doom 3 introduced, which were originally insurrectionists led by a rebel demon called the Great Serpent, which was slain by the Guardian, a Doom 3 boss. They were captured and used as gladiator slaves, until they eventually rose up in the ranks and superceded the original Hell Knights.

There's only one original Hell Knight left during Eternal...

They're Hell augmentations. Hell is capable of crafting their own cybernetic machinery and using it on their demons, but it's primitive. They never quite get a hang of it themselves, so by the time we get to the Third and Fourth Ages we see that they're using UAC tech instead.

Well Nekravol isn't Hell machinery - the Nekravol Citadel was built by Sentinel slaves that were captured by Hell, at the direction of the Maykrs.

There are multiple Pinky breeds. In Doom 3 we see cyborg Pinkies called "Hellhounds", which have their bottom halves cut off and replaced with robotic legs.
