Chain gun is good for dealing a lot of damage quickly and allows you to be more defensive against tougher demons, shotgun is good for crowd control on both mods and is also good for doom hunters on full auto, plasma gun is great for taking out the occasional group of fodder whilst exploring and is also cheap as fuck (and takes out shields), so is the scoped rifle, and the micro missile mod is great for backup damage when low on other ammo. All weapons have unique uses, and limiting yourself to just two or three is just making it harder on yourself

You can start on a low difficulty. If you are used to other FPS games this will definitely feel different, so just play for a while and you’ll get used to it. About the controller, it takes a few days to comfortably go from keyboard to controller, so again, just practice

It's actually got a far easier and balanced nightmare than 2016s. If you go from nightmare 2016 to eternals. Eternals feels like UV lol

Try to stay in the top levels in phase 1; using crucible charges on any heavy demons that get close. Chainsaw and crucible respawn around the arena, so just run around a bit (I’d recommend saving three chainsaws to chainsaw a heavy). If you’re low on armor, just go to the bottom floor and in the middle-front area there are a bunch of fodder

for how weird and conflicted horde is, i much more prefer it over a dead multiplayermode

Invasion was a flawed idea since before they started to think about it. Once they started working on it I’m sure they realized how little it worked in practice and decided to scrap it for something people were actually asking for. ( horde)

In theory could it have been cool? I’m sure? Maybe?

But do we restrict abilities? Battlemode has to restrict so much to be fair and competitive

Would you not be allowed to use said things at all in singleplayer?

Would the game freeze for a moment as it removes half your abilities for the encounter?

Some map locations are just massive. Hell the initial location they showed It off on was the super gore nest huge arena

With slayers speed and what not huge open areas sound a little op

Would the game know when you are in an arena?

Do you sit in a queue until the game determines a slayer has entered x area and locks the slayer in. Then puts up walls and waits a minute to load them in?

Which is probably one of the only ways this would really work, but then it doesn’t feel like an invasion
