Titans can be killed without the Crucible, it's just very very hard. Killing them with a Crucible or some other high-powered Wraith Energy weapon is easier, but doesn't permanently kill them, rather locking them in a stasis until removed.

We see Doomguy kill a Titan without a Crucible twice - once in Doom II using a rocket launcher on the Icon, and again in the Testament lore where he kills the Great One through unknown methods.

In regards to this, there is no "true" Heaven or Hell in Doom by human standards, because humans' depiction of Heaven and Hell were made up from those.

What I mean is, Urdak isn't the "true" Heaven. There is no Heaven. Souls don't go anywhere when they die. No afterlife. Urdak inspired what humans believe to be their own version of Heaven - legends of Urdak made their way to us and became what we call Heaven.

Similarly, Doom's Hell is only Hell in name. It's not a native afterlife, nor is it ruled by Satan, or anything. It's an extradimensional realm which inspired legends that eventually became what humans call Hell.

Not from the Slayer’s perspective. He killed the only Gods he knew of. You can’t get more sacrilegious than that.

Because it gives you ample time to run away and better position yourself in the fight while also clearing out most demons. The remaining super heavies can be taken out much more easily during and after a BFG shot.

The unmakyr should have been an hyper focused weapon, like a "FUCK YOU IN PARTICULAR" kind of weapon, 4 shots where all three pellets connect should have deleted a Tyrant so to speak.
Instead you get an extremely weak weapon where the most use you're gonna get is with the ice bomb in TAG1, MAYBE.

In the campaign the weapon is completely surpassed by the crucible and in TAG2 there's the hammer which breaks the game in half on its own. Stuns everything, trivializes resource management and refills insanely easily.

I personally never, ever, found a use for it. The ammo is almost always better left for the BFG

TAG 1 is really kicking my ass and I don't want to lower the difficulty. I’ve had it restart a level on me once due to a crash. I believe if the save corrupts it uses a backup that’s made at the start of each level, since my PS4 showed that the save was corrupted after it crashed (I almost deleted it luckily I tried loading the save first to see what’d happen).

Berserk is the one detriment on the few levels it’s usable if you have them all on. That and some of them like the all mastered mods cheat used to break the game.

Typically you'll see people do Lock On Burst spam. It won't outright kill it but it usually does a lot (damage values are pinned in this discord).

Unmaykr is "fine" against Tyrants but you shouldn't only be struggling with "one" Tyrant, so BFG is usually going to be better anyways. Just make sure you do Impact Damage against the Tyrant, as the Tendril Damage itself isn't a lot against super heavies.

Punch Cancelling is done by shooting a weapon, punching, and then pressing the keybind for the weapon you just shot. So for PB, it would be Shoot - Punch - PB - Shoot - Punch - PB etc. Same can be done for other weapons, though in Rocket/Sticky Bombs case there's some... weird oddities that make it less good to do so with those.

Anyways, for Tyrants, if you don't want to Lock On Burst spam (for whatever reason), SSG Punch swaps would be 2nd fastest most likely.

Remote Det is bad for actually dealing damage. It has niche use for "staggering" enemies, but if you're dealing enough damage enemies will automatically stagger after so much damage is taken anyways, it's usually just better to deal said damage.

There's Crucible swaps but that only works against enemies who "don't have animations against Crucible". Eyeballs, Icon, DH Sleds, etc.

There's no infinite ammo and/or haste + Crucible that gives infinite ammo on current patch.

Well Remote Det has less "splash" damage than Rockets so it's not good for "groups of enemies" either

Rockets deal 600 splash, 300 direct damage base fire. Remote Det deals 400 "splash" damage base, and explosive array increases this by 200. However, for SOME God forsaken reason, Remote Det also has the WORST damage falloff in the entire game, so more often than not Remote Det does close to around 120ish damage compared to Rocket dealing the full 600 splash

That's not to say you can't enjoy RD btw. Just making sure all the values/facts are known and such

Yeah the damage is pretty damn poor, i was looking at the numbers for the damage, i just use it because i find it easier to get rid of a ton of fodder from far away, im not too skilled to aim and use the PB blast to stagger fodders or using sticky grenades

There's two reasons I wouldn't want wall running in Eternal.

One, the movement systems are already varied and in depth enough, adding one more would be overkill, especially if it was like monkey bars where it barely adds anything and is more often a hindrance.

And two, if it's anything like everything else in Doom Eternal, it'd be FPS based and extremely buggy and I'd rather not see the results of that.

Battlemode is fun once ypu get into it. The problem is that now you either play against really good players or new players. There's basically not in between. Depends on the platform too.

Once you reach a certain skill level. Battlmode just becomes curb stomping the competition followed by maybe 1 out of every 20 matches being a challenge

BM really changes the way you play and it pushes ypu in a different way. I personally like it a lot, but I know many people don't.

There is always spicy demons to learn pointers and such as well. And they can set up lobbies to play in too. Definitely recommend if you want to dive more into battlemode

It is a different experience. Don't expect to go dominate in BM even if you are an UN player. It takes time to learn the dance.

Yeah there’s also the fact I don’t know if I would be playing slayer or demons, I usually like to main something. Also the different demons and their abilities.. at one point of the campaign you play revenant, but I was not a big fan of how the movement and playing was like.

Eternal also has good haptic feedback on weapons, altho I hate how much my hand hurts but I think it has to do with the shape of controller. And yeah I prefer it that way as well, but you can change it anytime during game which I enjoy.

Not a lot of games yet take advantage of the haptic feedback, but I hope in the future more games will do that. Tbh ps5 controllers shape is a bit big compared to ps4 controllers which causes new type of pain but I can deal with it as long as I take breaks. They also announced (in gamescom) DualShock Edge which is finally the premium controller that will have paddles, I have been waiting for that a long time

Sony actually also recently released new lineup of gaming monitors as well (Inzone), with hdmi 2.1 and 4k 144 fps. There isn’t a lot of gaming monitors supporting hdmi 2.1 (and they’re still technically pricy) but they are out there.
