For speedrunning the best runes are Air Control (obv), Savagery (even in Restricted Any%, it saves 1 second because of the 3 Doom Hunters), and... A third rune isn't grabbed for Restricted, for Hundo I think Equipment Fiend has some uses and is generally good

id tech 7 is not designed to run above 60fps, they let that happen anyway because the game remains mostly stable (and imo gets more fun there.) even then it handles a highly variable framerate pretty well. the specific systems that having a high fps affects (meathooking, delta correction, etc.) have so many edge cases that it's kinda impossible to remove all misbehavior. it's not very strange at all, considering what specifically is affected.

SSG Ballista's great for starting out but at some point you start to realize it's superfluous when most enemies die to the same amount of "shots" with SSG PB, and SSG PB is faster than SSG Ballista anyways

Plus it's more ammo efficient AND lets you ballista boost more or use Dblade more or whatever

Its doable, the hard part imo is that you need to set your sensitivities pretty high so you can turn quick when you boost yourself if that makes sense

It's not THAT hard, people like MMAFRO do it all the time I'm not AS experienced on controller but i've done the same skips that are possible on PC on Console as well

I think PB is jsut the most useful weapon in general. SSG Pb for close range, PB Ballista for long, PB rockets for high DPS and PB stickies for fodder control

You don't NEED to flick it up close. Ballista has the exact same "aim" as PB, really, anyways.

So for something like a Mancubus, 2 SSGs cant fully kill it, so throwing in something in between the SSG shots pushes it over the edge. So you could do SSG Ballista SSG, OR you could do SSG PB SSG

High sensitivity definitely helps. But for most cases you can kind of just "set yourself up" to look the way you need to boost and then boost. Depends though.

PB adds the a shit ton of ammo factor too. You got 30 shots with it. SSG, ballista and RL have a combined of 35

Motion controls. The great equalizer. You know how people tilt and move their controllers in frustration to try to get that last adjustment to aim? Well gyro makes that motion actually help.
