I would say they are Auto-Generated because ID is lazy with the series events..

My save is corrupted, I mean my achievements are broken in-game. When they added TAG 1 and 2 It broke my achievements.

and like for everyone without exception challenges dont either (during missions)
that isn't save file related afaik it's just their coding, since everyone is affected by them
milestones seem to have a lot of trigger points for breaking and challenges are just flat out broken

doubt this could and will be fixed, maybe milestones eventually because that's way higher priority than challenges, since for that you can just create a new save and spam through missions getting them all 1. try
but then again milestones' triggers can be found at about anywhere and is probably deeply buried code

Hello.. I got Doom Eternal for PC through Gamepass. I'm having issues trying to play this game:

• Sound works in the intro screens, but doesn't work in-game
• When loading a campaign, the loading screen completes to 100% but I see a black screen that doesn't go away afterwards

Note: At first, I managed to actually get into the game and play the first level. It performed flawlessly (with audio) on Ultra Video Settings.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I updated all my drives (windows, software, hardware) I have around 60% RAM available and my virtual RAM is at recommended. The only problem that I can think of is that my CPU is on minimum not recommended and 8GB is not enough for Doom Eternal.

Hey guys. Just wanted to share. I was having a real hard time getting Doom Eternal on PC to work right from Gamepass.. Had lots of issues including no audio after the intro and black screens freezes. I finally figured out how to work around the audio problem and fix the frozen black screens.

1. Make sure all hardware drivers are the latest
2. Make sure to update to the latest version of Direct X
3. For audio, disable all audio devices you are not using via the control panel
4. For the blackscreen, this did the trick:
   a. Type "doom" in the start menu
   b. Click on "App Settings"
   c. Click on the "Repair" and "Reset" buttons
   d. Restart the game

voila, no more crashes

Note: For audio problems with wireless headsets (like airpods), make sure that you also disable the microphone.

some people might not be affected by it at all and got everything day 1
some might not get anything at all
and there are other cases, eg for me, tier 1-10 nothing, 11-14 works

i have been trying to complete the Taras Nabad ML since it came out but ill be playing through it then my game will crash

does it generate a crash log? if so upload the crash log here and go through the basic steps: integrity verification, software/hardware/bios update, check if your game is using the main GPU (assuming there are multiple ones), disable overlays (steam, nvidia etc.)
also if neither of that fixes the problem drop your specs as well

but iirc you need to disable all other audio (including onboard), I reckon airpods can only take audio from 1 "source"

what's your specs and in-game graphical settings? also any similar problems prior or with other software?
you could try basic stuff as well first: file integrity, driver and bios updates or depending on the GPU and settings rolling back the drivers could help because some new nvidia drivers might cause crashes with DLSS and ray-tracing or otherwise

I have a 1650 and have lowered all my graphics settings to low. I have never had this problem before with eternal and it seems to only be while playing the taras nabad ML

I have a normal 1650 as well, playing on almost all ultra nightmare settings, havent experienced a crash there yet but during one run a lot of texture related bugs

@austere cape Saw a mention here and noticed someone was using airpods.. i modified my original note on how i fixed it:

if wireless headset (like airpods), make sure to disable the mic

If it would help anyone, would recommend maybe pinning that solution.

To disable audio devices, (windows 10), you have to go to "Sound Settings" and click on "Manage sound devices".

For output devices, everything should be disabled except for the wireless device (includes onboard audio).

For input devices, just disable all of them.

All those steps aren't really a solution-- they are more of a workaround. Ideally, Doom should just default to the audio out that windows is using OR you should be able to toggle output/input devices in the Audio Settings.

it's, as others mentioned, most likely unattainable now, unless some miracle happens and they roll out a patch
(you could try asking the modding community if they have any idea how to manually register the items, since to my understanding it's bethesda's script for it that's fucked but I could be wrong and it could be a million other things)

Got a guy named Joseph that was very understanding and asked me to attach screenshots to show that I did complete the event and did not receive the items. I then got a response from Zerina saying that the ticket was being "escalated to a specialized team" and that i would be notified shortly. At that point it was asking for a response from me so I just said thanks. I was then sent the message I posted from RJ, and the ticket was closed

So i install doom ( took over night to install). i launch it for the first time and close it, since i wanted to do smth before opening. the second time i launched it then crashed and i was stuck unable to close the tab. i restarted my computer and when i opened the Bethesda launcher to relaunch it and it gives me the install option "when i already have it fucking installed". i open my folder and see it installed i run it from folder and its running fine. Are u seriously saying that there is no option to scan for game files?

Funny thing is, those folder look exactly like the ones saved in Steam, but they are incompatible, if i copy them in my folder and launch the game, it says broken savegame or so

however you need to follow it 1 to 1 usually, since the remote locations being created just 1 step too early can fuck it up drastically
I had a problem with that when I redownloaded my saves after one got corrupted

unless they threw a curveball the save manager should still work, keep retrying it and following it 1 to 1

I believe having unlinked the bethesda account from the xbox one made u lose all event/limited skins and the milestones etc. got reset as well
I don't know a fix for that at all but I will experiment more with it eventually, since my milestones are still glitched out and some event rewards are as well, supposedly some ppl found a solution to it by just hardcoding it in the profile but that didnt work for me the first time around, maybe I fked up sth
I will let u know if I figure out a solution for that if u need it

I have a Nacon GC-100 joystick that works as an xbox joystick and when i move or click anything on it doom eternal switches to joystick mode (im on pc). however even when its detected the game doesnt give any feedback for input (doing anything on the joystick will not do anything on the screen) but the game detects it and switches the keybind icons from keyboard keys to joystick icons. does anyone know why?

Upon naturally mastering the Microwave Beam (by completing the mastery challenge, as opposed to bypassing it by redeeming a Mastery Token), your dashes will become super slow, as though the Microwave Beam is still being fired.

This only gets fixed if you step in some purple goo, thus far... although I'm sure it could reset with a Load Checkpoint (which would not be an option for those playing Extra Life mode or Ultra-Nightmare).

im on ps5 with upgraded game,got constant issues in the new mars core ML. game crashed twice,once after the big arena with the BFG10k in it once i enterd the Machine room and once while bloodpunching during the arena fight itself. also could not progress twice from said bfg10k arena because demons spawned outside the arena in unreachable places,even bfg shots did not kill em. hope it can be fixed. new mode and ML´s are great though,ty team ❤️

World Spear ML is stupid broken. One crash, and two instances where you would walk into an encounter and none of the demons spawn in, which normally isn't a big deal when playing regularly because you can reload checkpoints, but on extra-life mode and ultra-nightmare you don't have these options for troubleshooting. This has happened to me twice, where I would be 30min in the master level and could no longer progress. I was fortunate not to have run into these issues the other night after a successful ultra-nightmare run, but every time I try and complete it on extra-life mode the game either crashes or doesn't load the demons in :/

The last area of Mars Core isn't registering that I killed all the monsters. It's sort of frustrating given that the game won't give me the Weapon Point. The game also seems to drop challenges when I pin them and now it also seems to have trouble loading music. Does anyone know what is going on here? I think i am just going to turn the game off and try again later. I already mentioned this in eternal-chat but there seems to be a lot going on there so I figured I would mention it here too.

Pi-hole is just a DNS filter for spam and ads basically, so when Youtube or something tries to reach out and grab ad information it gets blackholed (hence pi-hole).

Okay, so I was playing Mars Core Master Level and it crashes and forces my game to revalidate the cache every time I get to the final arena. Ultra Nightmare straight up refuses to work. Tried different driver versions but to no avail. What do?
Also, base campaign Mars Core is fucked too. Some of the hazards were even carried over from the ML as well and it crashes before the final arena.

in battlemode on xbox with me as demon, sometimes the micro missiles will turn into full auto PB, I cant tell if it is just visual and audio or if it is actually dealing PB damage but it does seem to deal a lot of damage in my experience. Hello everyone. I play on an Xbox One X, and ever since the 6.66 update, every time I boot the game up I get the "Welcome to 6.66" splash screen that forces me to go through all four screens before I can interact with the main menu. This happens every since clean boot. Is this happening to anyone else on an Xbox platform?

Also, I don't have Xbox Live Gold, and thus can't seem to clear the exclamation notification from Battlemode 2.0 since I can't select "Play." Of course it takes me to a screen asking me to buy Xbox Live Gold. Anyway to clear this as well?

pretty frequently in world spear (master level or no) the dogs don't activate the lanterns in the first part of the level, wondering if there's a fix?

seems to be most affected in the first fog encounter

in the master level demons (and the buff totem) spawn but not the fog

it sometimes helps to reload checkpoints but that's not possible on ultranightmare

also: health goes to 300 and armor goes to 250 for some reason, and some weapons (only chaingun mobile turret that I've noticed) don't have any upgrades on classic mode, although these are likely separate bugs
