whenever i replay missions to complete challenges, they dont work for example in taras nabad i have completed the first challenge getting 6 codex entries on my first time playing the game, however replaying taras nabad the second challenge freeze 10 demons does not work at all, every time i freeze a demon it just doesnt register

For that weird framerate issue I was getting, I figured out how to fix it, I just have to tab out of the game then go back in and repeat that until it magically bumps back up to 60 fps

from 8 fps, to a solid unmoving 60

I also just bought the game on steam cause Xbox Gamepass for PC doesn't include the DLC, and it's 67% off

although it took like basically the rest of my money so I gotta wait a week until I get paid to buy anything else 😭

That framerate Issue IS pretty annoying though, it's super inconsistent for when it goes away

also this is on the menu when I can tell, I'll get 8 fps on the menu. I don't know when it goes away anymore, I can't tell if it's because I sat a long time or if it was random from me tabbing in and out of the game, but eventually it goes away

Okay I found a consistent way to fix my framerate, not tabbing out of the game.

What I have to do, is turn RTX off, then back on. Poof back to normal fps.

hello, i have actually a bug in doom eternal. I have done 100% of the 5th mission, but the task that said to take a "module" (in english probably modbot) dont want to be mark as completed. The problem is that i cant take anymore because i already took the 2 modbot on the map :/ so i cant take the reward of completing the 3 task on this mission. Here is a screenshot :
As you can see on the right, the first task that consists to obtain a module for a weapon from a modbot is not mark as complete... that s boring

No, you buy one of those and install it in the PCI slot on your motherboard. There are enough tutorial videos on youtube on how to install a GPU.
Then your PC will use this dedicated GPU instead of the integrated GPU

It is a upgrade, not a replacement :)

Hey guys do you know a good level where I can complete this week's "Trick Shot" and "Oh No My Shield!" challenges? I have to kill demons with a ballista shot while in the air and kill 10 demons while overloading a soldier zombie's shield and have to repeat this process an additional 2 times, and wondering where I can realistically do this since cant think of a level where 10 demons are stacked up where I can kill 10 of them at a time

ARC Complex has this small room with a couple shield zombies and a bunch of enemies, and also has that large area with monkey bars and a ton of enemies for the Ballista air kill challenge

Does anyone know a fix for this: I just finished the ARC Complex Mission, but didnt complete one challenge (overload shield with plasma rifle) went back, completed it, but realized, that now the rocket removal challenge isnt completed which I had completed in the run before. Now everytime I try to complete the challenge it just doesnt count up. tried it with and without cheats, restarting basically I tried everything. Its just a shame cause I wanted to 100% the game

I'm not certain where I am supposed to submit a bug report for doom eternal, I have searched all over online and I just keep getting referred back to this discord but I don't really see any bug report chatroom in this server. Honestly my bug report is exactly what laflame just stated. I have completed the initial campaign but I am going back to complete missing challenges and if i have any completed mission with two completed challenges, as soon as i replay that mission it automatically resets one of my challenges that I already completed and doesn't allow me to recomplete it. I am able to complete the one previously unfinished challenge but the one that was reset no longer works. The first one I noticed like this was the ARC Complex Mission but it also does the same thing with any mission that has only one challenge left unfinished when you initially complete the mission. It makes it impossible to complete the game 100%. anyways I hope this gets to the correct people although with the removal of bug reports on their site I am left to believe there isn't a lot of bug fixes for this game due to its growing age now.

I have a weird game issue, and I haven't been able to resolve it.

I unlocked every cosmetic in the Hipster Archvile master collection from last season, but ever since I downloaded the new update all of the cosmetics from level 4 onwards just disappear from my account after leaving and relogging, and unlock again once I obtain any amount of experience. It's caused my Archvile to have it's default skin but also have the "bored" pose when equipped, which I'm pretty sure was patched to not happen a long time ago.

Are other people having this issue, and is there any way to fix it without sending a ticket to Bethesda?

I have the same bug but in Super Gore Nest. Completed the level trying to do all challenges but forgot to do the glory kills on pinkies. When I went back to do it again the "find a weapon mod" challenge had been reset but I can't pick up any weapon mod since I already grabbed the two that are in that level. So no sentinel battery from that, which is a shame but there are worse things to worry about.

I'm about to reach night sentinel rank in the slayer club but I haven't received the Kaiju Archvile skin that is supposed to be available for all of those that have reached the Phobos rank.

The BFG on a single zombie milestone doesn't trigger. Have tested only tendrils. Have tested only the BFG projectile at point blank.

Dashing into a pinky milestone doesn't trigger. I have dashed into pinkies and spectres in various situations. I've dashed them head on in the middle of a charge and I have even managed to kill a pinky through dashing damage alone due to how many times I tried to make it work.

Been loving the game since launch on first XBOX and now PC. My experience has always been impacted by bugs however, and it's so disappointing when you encounter them because everything else is dazzling with the polish only effort and care can produce.

Hello. On the Cultist Base mission, I already completed the challenges, but when I replayed the mission, all the challenges showed they were no longer complete. I am unable to complete them again since the crystal has already been acquired and the other two challenges are stuck no matter how many times i fulfill the requirements. Hello, I keep getting massive lag spikes while playing, where once every minute or so my framerate drops from 110fps to 15fps. I have a Ryzen 4800H and a 2060 and this occurs even on Low settings. I have tried disabling chromatic aberration, disabling display from compute, unplugging my external monitor, marking the executable as high priority in task manager, none of these have solved the problem. I'm running on the same settings back from when TAG Part 1 came out and never had this problem; as it stands I'll be pretty much unable to play TAG Part 2 because when the lag spikes happen I just end up getting ganked by a swarm of enemies.

I would like to ask, does anyone else have a problem with achieving milestones in the Battlemode? I suspect, that some are bugged, for example Dodge this, where I'm supposed to score 10 direct hits with the BFG on player demons. I played at least three matches, where I hit player with BFG, but the game didn't record that, for some reason, and the milestone still says 0/10, when I check it.

aight i got doom eternal about 3 days ago and at first it was having problems downloading so i completely uninstalled steam and reinstalled it on my larger drive and doom eternal was able to fully download however now when i hit play it just does nothing. Like steam will act like it's getting it ready, but then the STOP button will immediately turn into the Play button again and nothing will open. I've tried everything on the internet from disabling and enabling my NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI display driver to completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it, clearing my download cache, verified and validated its files, etc. The only thing i didnt do was a Clean Boot, but i dont want to risk turning my computer into a brick and I doubt it would solve anything since I've had both my firewall and my antivirus ignore doom eternal and i even ran the game as an administrator only for it to not even open at all. Is there a way where I can view Steam's console or live coding so I can see what's preventing DOOM from starting up? I also updated my NVIDIA GeForce driver to its latest version as per instructed when i launched doom eternal but after that it would just do nothing.

I've just bought the DOOM Eternal Deluxe Edition for PS5, installed the game from the PS store and tried to start the game. When I do, it says "if you want to play the game in the system language (german in my case) Doom Eternal needs to DL a few extra files".
I then confirm that.

Set your console language to english. Reboot your console, start the game once.
Exit out of the game and set your console language back to german. Should work now.

I just lost my UN save when I wasn't playing it, to a bug.

I lost interest in playing, so I used ALT+F4 to quit. I don't use it to save myself, just to quit mid-level if I don't feel like playing anymore. Then, I went into the Battlemode tutorials and played around as the marauder to learn the controls. I killed myself in the tutorial with the axe throw, to see what would happen, and it gave me the UN death screen and King Novik started speaking. -_-

I'm so unbelievably pissed. I've lost well over 100 UN Runs, and that one was the farthest I've EVER gotten. I was on Mars Core.

Alt+F4ing or leaving the level otherwise could have consequences

regardless of whether you're trying to cheese it or you want to do something else

Quitting to menu mid-mission will threaten a file wipe so generally its not a good idea to circumvent that to avoid the game doing something cheeky on you (like killing your run after force-closing and switching gamemodes)

As for framerates, my 2060 (65w) can bring me up to 100-80 FPS on average (in most environments, it depends) without DLSS (that usually boosts it up a bit)

For some reason doom eternal keeps on restarting my PC every time I run it and try to stream it on discord. This doesn't happen in any other game but DOOM eternal for some very odd reason.

So, after the new update was rolled out, I had to update my Nvidia card to the latest version (471.11), and as soon as it finished I tried to launch Doom Eternal, I got a GPU Driver Error message that simply said "Crash encountered during Vulkan Initialization validation".
(Personal note: I have no experience with ANYTHING related to Vulkan whatsoever, don't even know what it does or it's purpose tbh)

I've tried doing every fix i could think of from validating the game files, done a fresh driver reinstall, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, restarted steam and even my pc for that matter, and it still will not open up Doom eternal at all. Before this patch I would open up and work just fine, but now I literally can not play it whatsoever.

If there is any solutions to this issue or work-arounds that anyone knows of, can someone please help me out?

So I unlocked the outside area of my spaceship, and then went off to collect everything I hadn't collected during my playthrough, and now it is no unlocked anymore. Even then, I decided to just finish some challenged I hadn't finish too, but they just didn't count, like the one you have to freeze 10 enemis during Taras Nabad, or using the map at the Doom Hunter Base, and I was unable to collect more sentinel batteries.

I don't know of it's a bug or supposed to be like this, but I decided to ask for help, because I don't really know what to do.

yeah i have the same issue for a while. dont know when it started but definitely wasnt there before the last big update. when you use the mission select, you will load into the mission and all the challenges get flagged as incomplete. then when you look at the mission again from the menu, its still incomplete.

does your computer just restart when you try to start the game? this happened to me. I thought i cranked my settings too high but what it was was turning off vsync. I guess when the game boots up some people have this bug where im guessing the gpu tries to do too much and the computer will lock up and restart to protect itself.

Try deleting the config file for doom eternal and it should start up with the default settings you had when you first played the game @stone surge

Hi. I've purchased and unlocked the Year One Pass on Bethesda launcher but I cannot launch Ancient Gods parts 1 and 2 in-game. I own the main game on Steam, but I have linked my Bethesda account to my Steam account. Any ideas on how to access the DLC if it's bought from a different platform than the main game?

You can only play the DLC's on your Bethesda Version and the main game on your steam version

Since the dlc work as standalones, you can access them, but you would need to download the entire game.
Effectively, it will act as if you have doom eternal downloaded twice with all dlc

I suggest refunding the year one pass if you can and get it on steam

On PCs, multiple launchers would be the same as if you owned the base game on Xbox, but dlc on PlayStation

Alright I got two bugs that have been driving me crazy for awhile

1. whenever I open the map screen in a level, and then close it, the map screen audio/music plays over everything and it will not turn off even when I leave the level or complete the stage.
2. During the mini event with the archville skin of the hipster, the game takes it away from me everytime I launch it but when I complete one of anything (level, battlemode) it gives me everything for it. So basically I can't equip the skin because I lose it when I close the game

okay. huge bug with the mission challenges: they completely broke after the update. like some are completely unobtainable now.

i’ll use cultist base as an example:

• so i go back into the level to do something
• i’ve already mostly 100%ed the level in exploration
• but for some reason, the sentinel crystal challenge is locked, even though i have unlocked it before.
• i cant get the crystal again, so it’s just going to be impossible to get now.
• also for some reason the challenge where you destroy an arachnotron turret is also not unlocking. idk what happened there.
• armoured rain unlocks like normal, so what’s going on?

Same thing happened to my friend... when he wasn't using any cheat codes, the challenges appeared completed. But any weekly challenge he successfully completed using cheat codes didn't register.

After the last update the game is causing input issues for me. Mouse and keyboard either stops registering my inputs or locking them up completely for a second. It turned the game unplayable. I never had these issues before the last update and I've updated my mouse and keyboard drivers and messed around with vsync

tdbf yesterday I was farming for 6 hours a set from the "precious metals" event. it seemed that everything was given for all levels, but in the morning of the next day, strange things began 2 occur.
day 1 post-event: most recent tablet missing (with pain elemental with glasses and money)
day 2 after the event (today): after restarting the game, all rewards for leveling up the "mc pain" set are gone, only the initial skin and the initial battered podium remain.

In the main campaign I'm encountering a bug that the 2016 suit unlocked and hayden's quote about the unmayker after unlocking and acquiring replays once every time I enter the fortress of doom and the completed mission challenges will reset to uncompleted when I replay the missions. I think it happens after I unlocked the 2016 suit and the unmayker because I see the mission challenges didn't reset when I replay the mission until I unlock the suit and weapon. This is on the Xbox series x/s. I forgot to mention that this started to happened when the 4th of july event went live.

I got the game on my xbox with both of the dlcs with the bethesda account under my email and one of my friends family shared the game to me on steam but for some reason after I logged in to the account it's like I got a whole new account instead without any of the stuff I got before, I thought it might have something to do with the xbox account itself having a different email but I don't really know.

I think i have almost finished the campaign on ultra-violence but i cannot go on because since yesterday the game freezes at certain points and the only thing i can do is open task manager and terminate the game. Hello. Just wanting to know if anybody could help me or experienced the same problem... I played Doom Eternal last time in february, when I completed half of the first mission (UAC Atlantica) of the Ancient Gods Part 1 DLC. Last week, since I was on holiday, I opened the Bethesda launcher and the game updates were installed regularly (at the end of the process a message was displayed advising about the successful installation). I didn't have any problem at all with the game when I played it last year and through february (a few times it crashed during moments of intense action, but it was absolutely random and it happened very seldom), but now it's another matter entirely. Nothing happens when I click on "Play" on the Bethesda launcher: Doom Eternal doesn't start at all regardless of how many times I try (the icon briefly goes from "Play" to "Running" but a few second later returns to "Play" without any message at all). I tried logging out and signing in again, turn off the computer and restart it... Nothing changes. So I launched it from the executable file in the game folder: I was able to complete the UAC Atlantica mission, but then the game crashes half a second after displaying the loading screen of the next mission (Blood Swamps) and even in this case there are no error messages at all, so it's impossible for me to know what's wrong. And since the game has been automatically saved at that point, when I select it to continue it crashes after less than half a second: I'm completely stuck, nothing I've done has worked so far... I own a PC with Windows 7 Service Pack 1 as an administrator and the Nvidia graphic card drivers are updated to the latest version (I'm not using the game under Steam). I would appreciate some help if possible, since I would like to continue the game and avoiding uninstalling it: let me know if you need more details about my computer configuration or anything else.
