There is currently the weekly challenge for beating a mission on Nightmare, I tried to do that this morning by loading up my already completed game and running through Hell on Earth for a quick completion. After beating the level and finding I didn't get credit towards the challenge, I tried it again making sure cheat codes were off and the difficulty was indeed set to Nightmare and it still did not credit it. I bounced around to a couple other levels with no success there either. My next step is to delete a save and start a new game. Anybody else having this? Or have a different solution? (I am on PS4)
Similarly, I have noticed that for the DLC milestones that loading up the levels through my beaten save to re-play on Nightmare (with out cheats) doesn't work either.

for everyone who is having issues with the game not opening i have found a fix!!!!!! go to the local files of your doom in your steam folder, and run the ID launcher application as administrator, wait for a few seconds (30-60) seconds then right click the doom exe and run as administration and the game will open!!

I just noticed a bug in my campaign challenges.
It says that I've finished 0/3 challenges on Nekravol II. (PS4)
This makes no sense as I did in fact beat all the challenges on all levels and got all sentinel batteries.
So I tried replaying the level to see if I could, and I noticed that none of my challenge counters were going up.

At least you can play the DLC, I can’t even access it at all. Whenever I try to access it, it says “this content cannot be selected at this time.” I tried every single thing, including deleting other applications to make more space, deleting and reinstalling the game, restoring the license, AND purchasing the season pass, but nothing works. Can anybody help me figure out what’s wrong?

Every time I launch Doom Eternal, the game fails to register mouse movement on its end and I cannot even alt tab out of the game to close it. Even Alt + F4 fails to work, and the only way I can close the game is by pressing the power button.

Was playing Ancient Gods on the UAC Atlantica Facility level, and once I got to swimming and resurfaced My player height went to what I believe was 0. And not able to shoot or use any of my weapons but was able to use chainsaw and equiment. I tryed multiple times reseting at checkpoints and leaving relogging into the game. Non of which fixed it. It didn't seem to affect any of my other campaigns but just this one.

Hello recently I've been experiencing very strange issues with the base game (Doom Eternal) about 5 months ago i could play the game on high/ultra settings with vsync off on smooth 100 fps most of the time, but recently since the new updates rolled out my game still runs at about 100 fps but there is really strange keyboard input delays for example if you hold w and then let go of it soon after doom guy keeps on walking by himself, funny thing is there is no input delays from the mouse only from the keyboard, while playing the game also i noticed that the CPU usage is constantly at 100% which never happened before while playing the game and having nothing else open, i have a Ryzen 3 1200 CPU, GTX 1060 6GB and I have 8GB RAM, I haven't played the game in months since this issue appeared which is a shame because its my favourite game to date i hope someone has a solution to my problem or if its already being worked on i hope it gets fixed soon (also i have tried setting the entire game to low settings and that didn't fix anything, and the last thing i also realised was when there is no enemies in a room the game runs fine but as soon as a single enemy appears keyboard delays start to happen again)

I have unlocked all the support runes but one still shows greyed out and I can’t select it. I have the milestone so definitely unlocked all three. When the unlock screen came up for the last one the last rune I needed (the extra lives one) was highlighted and I couldn’t unlock it even though that was the one I needed. The critical hit one was the only option but I already had it.

for some odd reason i didn't get the tactical shotgun mastery skin
i think it has to do with the fact that at the time i've got the mastery, i was playing offline
(when i got the second mastery, that should have rewarded the prateor tactical shotgun skin)
the fact that i wasn't online also resulted in loosing the progress i gained while offline (thanks for syncing, steam)
i mean, i have two pcs, on one of them the game was finished, and on the other i still had to go through the icon of sin boss battle to finish it
i thik the ingame tactical shotgun mastery is broken, because i don't have it

Second time i managed to activate the wolf. After the 4 or 5 successful attempt, i will post how to activate the wolf as we wait for a patch to fix the problem
Ok in my third attempt what i did to activate the wolf, i stacked the possesed and killed them. After that i spammed the dash button inside the wolf. After a while he jumped to the bracer and the event began. I hope this helps you to fix this problem

In my extra life run i finally fun the way to beat that him. You need to be fast with the dash and push the dog so he lands in the specific place and activate the fights. The first and the second to last braccier are the ones that can be bugged. If you see that the dog doesn't activate the event, reset the game and while you follow the dog, push like mad the dash button to push him while he runs towars the braccier so you can trigger the fights.

@wicked dome according to Bethesda, the milestones are tied to savegame, but unlock to account. i think it's a very cumbersome and risky way to do it, because many people experience issues with milestones or unlocks. I still can't unlock the Argentas Paladi emblem or podium after doing every single milestone and it burns me up every day 🤬

I got to taras nabad marauder secret encounter on my ultra nightmare, switched weapons before grabbing the soundtrack to skip the animation and now I have nothing in my hands

its weird, game capture is just straight up blank/black screen. Everything else besides game capture that works will pick up the pause menu of the game in windowed or display capture, but not actual gameplay...

@zenith narwhal we'll get our correct achievements back. when the Ancient Gods DLC came out it seems like server side data began overwriting our personal in-game progress however any good database administrator would have all that type of data on MINIMUM one backup server
so basically, they have a record of what we've done in game and out. i mean for god sake, they measured how many "GALLONS" of blood we spilled one season LOL

Hey guys, my DLC issue was fixed(ish)! Support checked my account to see the DLC was in the Bethesda side of my account and not steam... Although it was showing as "purchase" before, now it's showing as install.
50GB of download later and I can play the DLC, albeit through a different launcher ☺️

I have noticed that the Spirits in Samur's fight give the demons double the damage reduction that all other Spirits in all other encounters do; Hell Knights take 12 rockets to kill instead of 6 and so on. Can someone confirm for me whether or not this is intentional?

This glitch seems to be happening after reloading a previous save. You begin the save with no weapons, no hands, and in my instance you seem to be shrunk down and clipping into the floor.

Even after fixing the glitch your audio may seem bugged until you complete the current mission. THE FIX: Go into Settings> Change Classic weapon pose on and off again

If someone has a problem where he bought the DLC but not the main game on Steam and can't buy the main game I found a fix until this gets fixed:
Go to the Steam website and do not log in, go to the Doom Eternal page, click on buy it, then log in, you will get a warning that you will not receive another copy of the game but buy it regardless, if you do so you can get the base game. Hope this helps someone. :)

The thing is, it doesn't let him buy it. The button for buying it is not working because Steam thinks he has already bought the game. I found a solution that I have written above until Steam fixes it.
I also tried to purchase the game as a gift for him, but Steam wouldn't even let me gift him the game because it said that he already owns the game. This seems like a issue on Steams part, not id's or Bethesdas.

I have tried putting a ticked in with Bethesda Support but I just got a copy paste from them that was not much help. Anyone elses' game blackscreen (music keeps playing) and they have to force shutdown the game? I am on the first mission of the new expansion quite hyped to play it but without failure it freezes up after about 5-8minutes. i think it has to do with the fact that at the time i've got the mastery, i was playing offline
(when i got the second mastery, that should have rewarded the prateor tactical shotgun skin)
the fact that i wasn't online also resulted in loosing the progress i gained while offline (thanks for syncing, steam)

hello. i have a problem with 100% completion.
in my playthrough, i got the weapon mods in the fortress, and i got the weapon mod in the gore nest mission. this however didn't give me the completion for the mission challenge in that level. I've now beaten the final boss and gone back to that level and i have everything EXCEPT that one challenge, i've tried playing through the level again and it didnt work. how can i get this challenge?

Alright, i have been having multiple issues with my game and here's a video sort of highlighting them. To elaborate on the visual bug and crashing, the visual bug of the random colors "consuming" my screen happens extremely often, it could be absolutely any color, I have seen purple, green, blue, red, and of course black most commonly. This leads to me being completely blind and having to either open the pause menu to get rid of this visual bug, grabbing a monkey bar or a ledge, chainsawing an enemy or glory killing an enemy. As for the freezing and crashing, that has been the biggest issue yet. My game freezes for absolutely no specific reason, and it freezes 100% of the time I play this game. My game could run from 10 seconds to (if i'm lucky) around 10 minutes before it freezes. This freeze is permanent, making my game not respond to anything and me having to close it in task manager.
Here are the things I have tried to fix:
Reinstalling
Validating files
Clean driver install
Clean boot
Restarting my PC (obviously lol)
Running the game as administrator
Disabling all overlays

But if I had to take a guess you either have the file and it's not being detected or it's actually missing
Check the location and see if it's there
If it's part of the mod, check if you copied it, otherwise maybe try verifying game files

Any1 having low GPU usage in Doom Eternal? For me, I haven't seen my GPU go past 5%, and it usually stays @ 1%, my processor on the other hand is constantly around 80%. I have a GTX 1660 with 6 GB of VRAM. Drivers are up to date.

I’m having crazy trouble streaming this game. Resolution scaling is causing crazy issues with frames. I usually run with this off, but I have to run dynamic to be able to get 30fps output. I don’t have any issues with any other high demanding games. Is there a trick cuz dynamic resolution looks horrible.

@lean current you can try to ALT+F4 and restart the game, see if it works when you load back in. Had the same issue at the Doom Hunter boss. If not, then say goodbye to your UN run.

so in the blood swamps the dog wasn't spawning so I restarted the mission and completed the left trial and went back to the right trial and the dog did spawn but it's just standing below the hanging body near the first beacon and now I am stuck there with the dog

@sick briar I don't know if you can get it currently. The way that I got it was having my UN play and stopping at the Icon, and then having another game save going for 100% on easy and also stopping at the Icon. Would then beat the UN play and then switch over to the easy play, beat the Icon and finish maxing out weapons and such to get it.

the more i play the more buggy the game seems. enemies just standing around and looking at me. sticky bombs which don't destroy weakpoints. bloodpunch not working if you you're actually getting beat up by a demon too. chainsaw denying the target. man i hope the new event comes with a few fixes

Sticky bombs sometimes do not destroy weakpoints, I've looked into that a long time ago and have some videos with arachnotron turrets not getting 1shot. My theory is that you either don't hit the turret hitbox with the initial contact damage or that there's a certain part of the turret you'd need to hit in order to deal enough damage.
That being said, I just settled on destroying weakpoints with the rifle scope mod.

Ok, I have noticed that if I sticky bomb the left cannon of a mancubas, the right one pops and vice versa. If I sticky bomb an arachnoturret followed by a chainsaw, it leaves a graphical error of the Arachnotron's sparks after it disappears.

you can't rely on Stickybombs destroying the turrets on arachnos. During the spawn animation a wellplaced sticky won't destroy the turret. if they jump to the side and you still placed that sticky on the turret it won't pop.
The only consitent Stickybomb that destroys the arachnatron turret is the one shown in the tutorial LUL

Hey, my milestones and Doom Level have just reset completely. I think it happened when it couldn't connect to Bethesda.net but after it connected it still didn't recover anything. None of the milestone completion rewards were lost though, just the milestones themselves. Before I could connect it to bethesda.net, all of my save files were empty/missing. I've recovered those (kind of, they're still acting wonky) and it reset ALL of my custom controller settings (I'm playing on Xbox one)
It made me redo the Battlemode tutorial, but it hasn't reset my triumphs.

Does lowering graphics not improve performance for anyone else in Eternal? Optimal settings vs all low runs exactly the same. Hovers around 100-110 fps most of the time

lowering graphics is one of the best ways to improve performance in a machine, but some machines can only improve so much before they reach their maximum for that game.
I know because I can throw GZDoom to ~600fps before it stops increasing no matter what I do.
this isn't the case for every single computer, but it does happen.
