In case anyone else is having this issue , I managed to fix it as I noticed a difference in the position of the trigger settings

Underneath there are switches that control the way the trigger works. If at T1, the trigger will NOT work .
In position T2 or T3 the trigger WILL work.

I currently have a problem with the pandemonium mode. Whenever I finished a chapter, i usually proceed to the next but after the loading screen, it booted me back to the menu and after i retry to get back to the save file. It would reroll and make it so that the previous chapter never been played which in turn lost all my progress. I seen some people also suffer the same issues online but I can't seem to find any solutions. Anyone have tips?

hey guys, im having multiple stuttering/audio related issues with the dark ages. (PC/Steam)

Examples include:

• in-game sound effect delays like gunshots, punches, landing, and shield sounds. Maybe like a few seconds after the action is performed.
• Menu UI and music simultaneously disappearing for several seconds to like 20 seconds
• In-game cutscenes hitching and causing the cutscene to, skip back like half a second? This causes the audio to go out of sync or double-up and just overall ruins the momentum of the scene.
• Minor issue with some textures taking time to load.

TL;DR Sounds cutting out, sounds doubling, sounds playing before they’re supposed to, sounds playing after their supposed to, lag, stutters, freezing (up to 20+ seconds), and textures not loading

Anyone else with these issues? Game is still playable but a lot less enjoyable. Thanks!

Perhaps if you perform a game integrity check on Steam, which is found in the properties (installed files), it may create the folder you are missing where the configuration is saved.

Ah yea, I see. Everything is running just fine. It's just that the game is acting as if my save file just completely ceased to exist.

So apparently there is a game breaking bug (all platforms) on level 21. While fighting the boss the game crashed. When I try to load my save, it immediately crashes. I restarted the game, restarted my PS5, restarted in safe mode to clear the cache, restored game licenses, reinstalled the game....none of this works. According to a reddit post, it seems some PC and Xbox players are having the same issue either on level 21 or fighting the end boss on level 22.

I'm playing DOOM The Dark Ages on PC Game Pass. I started mission 21 and everything was fine. I got to the final fight of the mission and died. when trying to respawn, the game crashed. I loaded the game back up and now every time I load into the mission, on the loading screen, the game crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinnstalling, I tried doing the "Verify and Repair" this in the Xbox app, I tried uninstalling and going through Cloud Gaming. I even tried channging the difficulty. Nothing has worked. It still always crashes at exactly the same point in the loading screen to load into the mission. I tied the mission prio and it works just fine. Loads right up no issue. It's just mission 21 "The Final Battle". Is anyone else having this issue? And is there a fix? I have the AMD Radeon 7800XT GPU and Intel I7-12700K CPU and all my drivers are up to date.

I'm having the same exact problem but it's on base Xbox Series X. I died to Azrahk and when I tried to load back in it boots me right back to the home screen and when I try to go back and load the chapter it happens again. This is now a problem some people WILL encounter and we need to get more attention on this specific problem because this is essentially 'restart the game to try again' and I'm not doing that.

I sent in a ticket to Bethesda support containing a video of it happening on that level specifically and working fine on the one prior and included the crash logs and other logs. Thoroughly explained what happened. And I also reported it in the crash report that pops up. I did mention others on pc and Xbox are having the same issue, unsure about Playstation. Hopefully they've had others do the same and realize this is a fix now kinda bug. And are already working to fix it

They didn’t release a patch for the 2016 trophy so don’t hold your breath I sure as shit ain’t. I’m doing a run on the easiest difficultly to ONLY get that trophy then starting again on the real difficulty and playing again getting it all. Far easier that way. Do not expect a patch. Bethesda support says to suck it up regarding trophies and there won’t be a patch. Basically saying it’s Sony/our wifis fault 😁🥲

I have faith as ive wiped my game completely I had to agree to the TOS again and my milestone isn’t ticked 😁I’d make sure thats not ticked dude cause that counts as it completed and can’t be earned again so you need to completely wipe your data each run. That’s why I’m doing runs dedicated souly to this trophy. I’ve heard of people unlocking it early same situation with the bug so never know I could be lucky and if so I would be so happy. Definitely not rating a game 5/5 in the store.

hi, just got here since I'm suddenly having issues with the game. do we know if the devs are aware of the constant crashing on the final battle mission for xbox series x/s? played everything perfectly fine with little to no issues outside of audio ones to my knowledge and then I messed up a dodge, died on the final battle fighting big old one boss. ever since that I cannot load the final battle mission whatsoever, it just constantly crashes mid load.

related to this, after it crashes from loading FB after I start the game again and reach the main menu it sticks and I can't click the button to start. unsure if they're directly linked or if this bug just happens after s crash or not.

Has anyone else dealt with the game getting stuck on a black screen after the intros/logos? I was playing every day since release, I fire it up today to play the last two chapters, nothing in my system has changed since yesterday yet it worked yesterday, and today it broke...
The workaround with deleting two folders in the game directory didn't help, neither did closing RTSS, restarting my PC or updating drivers.

Hello people smarter than me, i was playing doom tda normally until today when i switched to a new cpu and now every time i try to launch the game it just says this: "Please log in to Microsoft Store and try again."
ive tried:

• logging out from both xbox app and ms store
• veryfying doom files multiple times
• resetting ms store, doom and xbox
• moving the game to the C drive
• reinstalling the game

TDA is freezing completely in the second chapter of the game. Like the game runs for a while then freezes, never to recover again. The GPU usage drops to zero but the audio keeps running.

I ran into a MAJOR bug in the 6th level, Siege Part 1. I was in one of the secret areas and activated the lever to the left, but the goddamn game never raised the door, and now refuses to do so even if I reload to the last checkpoint. New games are always bugged for the new Nvidia app. In fact, this game is just bugged in general. If you try to override DLSS settings in Nvidia Profile Inspector, you can get a memory leak which drops your FPS down to like 50's. I recommend just using the in-game settings for now until id Software and Nvidia can patch things

Thankfully you won’t lose your premium content as it’s not tied to whatever Bethesda account is linked to your doom TDA account. You just won’t be able to use that doom Nvidia code.

Buuuut you actually could. If you see what email is tied to that Bethesda account that you’re logged into you could probably log into the Bethesda account for that and just redeem your Nvidia code there

Decided to replay eternal after about 2 years of not playing it. Got to the part where you unlock the fortress of doom and went to do the doom 2 code only to find that its already on there. As ive only played through the game once before idk if its supposed to be available regardless of a new save or not. My main worry is if it is a glitch and i decide to unlock doom 1 if when i start a new save i will automatically have doom 1

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue related to collecting a health upgrade item in the Ancestral Forge map. In the video I recorded, you can see that I picked up the item for the first time at 00:50:07. However, after dying, the game did not register the item as collected.

I defeated the boss again, but the item still doesn't appear as collected, and because of that, the progress is not showing as 100% complete (this can be seen around 01:00:00 in the video).

So a lot of people can’t launch the game or it keeps crashing for them. On steam there is a fix where you add a command to the launching option.
If you are playing from xbox gamepass and upon launching the game, if you only hear the game sound but cant see the game you will need to change doom dark ages settings from nvidia control panel.
Go to nvidia control panel > manage 3d settings.
Select Program settings
My settings which fixed the bug:
Image scaling: on
Max frame rate: Off
Monitor Technology: G-Sync Compatible
Power management mode: Max performance
Preferred Refresh rate: highest
Vertical Sync: Use the 3D application setting
This should fix the error. If it doesn’t work, try to mess with other related settings. I hope this helps!

If anyone else’s upgrades aren’t saving and are losing their gold.

The fix that worked for me is to not upgrade on previous missions. Everytime I replayed a previous chapter to get the gold I missed my progress didn’t save and would erase including challenges.

For some reason upgrading at a sentinel shrine in the chapter I was currently at saved my gold and upgrade progress.

When I launch DOOM The Dark Ages I get the message "HDR is not supported on this hardware". What does it mean? Is it my screen, my CPU or my GPU?
It's very surprising because HDR works fine on DOOM Eternal and I have a very good hardware, not the bestest ever but definitely next gen ready. CanYouRUNit says I have all the recommended system requirements for The Dark Ages, so I shouldn't have any issues with HDR.

Can't help you with this, but I guess buying the game would be the fastest way to solve this problem. I personally don't trust Xbox Gamepass since you don't own any game, and the day you stop paying or the day they stop the service you lose all the games and all your money, and you always need to pay again if you wanna play again. If you are short on money I recommend waiting for a discount on instant-gaming, even now the game is already -21%

A game is like a book, you can own a copy of it but not the text itself : Owning means you have the right to do anything you want with it like making copies to sell them, which isn't the case. This protects the artists/editors from illegal editors that would make money just by selling copies of games or books they didn't make

Well DOOM (2016) worked without a single crash, DOOM Eternal had a lot of crashes (although I beat it so it’s all good i guess), But TDA is the only problem, and all of them I play digital. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Dark ages is currently unplayable for me. 18 Crashes in 2 sessions. Playing on a series X. Reinstsalled game twice, factory reset Xbox, removed game capture, ensured all other games are closed. I've downloaded the latest patch and Xbox is up to date. I've even cleaned out the system from dust etc. Placed in a well ventilated area. Any ideas?

I came here about a month ago to ask why none of the classic DOOM mods with the Aubrey Hodges soundtrack that came with the original PlayStation version of the game, and many mods claim they have added "Tested on PC" and yet none of them work. Have you tried turning off all the upscaling and stuff in your nvidia app prior to launching the game?

The only thing I can think of is if it's random and not at the same point each game, turning down some settings. So like upscaling, super resolution, and in-game settings too. If that doesn't work, im not entirely sure to be honest.

No it does this every time it launches, it's after the intro logos (id tech 8) blah blah blah the game stays on the pentagram loading screen, I can hear the main menu background music but I CANT actually see the main menu. The screen just show the intro logos, gets to the pentagram loading screen before the main menu and then I hear the main menu music and nothing. I can't even start the mission or see the main menu lol.

When you get to that screen, If you press the button on your keyboard above tab, I believe it's the squiggly hyphen key, does the command prompt thing pop up at the top?

So I was trying to login to my bethesda account on my brother's Xbox Series S under his Microsoft account and I tried reseting my password multiple times (I'm playing the game via Game Pass) and Every time I successfully login it still says I'm not logged in

It could be a visual glitch. On PC at launch it said I was already signed in. Next load up of the game it said I wasn't signed in so I did sign in and it didn't say I was. I closed the game and loaded back in and it said I was signed in. It could just be a visual bug saying you're not signed in, but you actually are. The game should still be playable regardless and your data should be saved to the cloud so playing on a new Xbox may save your progress. I'm not 100% positive though.

I'm really considering refunding the game. I haven't been able to get past the intro cutscene before the game crashes. It'll even crash at the main menu if it runs for approximately 5 minutes as well. The games crash dump utility does register the crash.

Anyone know what I can try besides driver reinstall, verify game files, or bios updates? Everything is up to date as far as I have checked.

but i got another solution by some guy on reddit gave me solution to this.
So you need to create new user profile in windows (i think you all know how to do that) maybe through different email or the one that you use on xbox and microsoft store, i restarted the pc and then i downloaded xbox app and did a clean reinstall since i, of course had to reinstall the game, but if you have it installed, try to see if xbox sees it when you try to install it.
i boot up the game and it seems to do fine and doesn't give me any denuvo errors, this is keep in mind, after a clean reinstall where obviously could've gave me error if i tried it on my main user profile.

If you downloaded on GitHub (for basically all source ports) or zdoom.org (for ZDoom and GZDoom), they're 100% false positives

So I know Eternal has fps issues (fast meathook, fast enemy attacks, etc.) So I want to limit my FPS, otherwise I'm getting 400+. The thing is, Eternal has no FPS cap setting. So I use my Nvidia app to try to set it to a 120FPS cap. But for some reason when I do this, the game is NOT a smooth 120FPS. It feels much more like 60 or 75, plus stuttering pretty frequently. Is there a solution to this? Or a better way to cap my FPS? My old rig never had this issue and I played at a smooth 75FPS. Now that I've upgraded, I'm having a much harder time playing the game. I've got an RTX 4070 TI Super GPU, and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D Processor. 32GB of RAM, and I'm running on an SSD. Please help!

You know what, I was in this situation for at least a week and like I said I finally received my code, be patient or if You want it now do like I done before I get my code on my main Twitch account, yes, make another Twitch account and go repeat all the process to get it, don't forget to link your temporary new Twitch account to Bethesda and go on a DOOM: The Dark Ages live for an hour, drops are activated by default on a new Twitch account I verified so don't worry but what You should do is asking the streamer if he or she actually activated drops on his live so everyone can obtain it through his or her live, if not remake an other Twitch account etc... till You got it's long and fastidious but first try I got it, maybe You too!

Ok, so just keep watching and be patient for the Twitch drop is what I'm gathering. CBF to make a side account and do all the relinking. Figured something was buggy, I don't even see Dark Ages having an active campaign listed in the Twitch drops, just the banner when you enter a stream.

They were also delayed and came with more codes may 19th but for many they only see the campaign and no progress because they tried it on the 13th but it got bugged and no progress was ever tracked. Alt accounts tracked because they were new but looks like they finally figured out how to fix it for the existed bugged accounts. hopefully.

my friend is having issues trying to boot doom eternal on epic games, the game just won't budge no matter what he tries, says its failed to login and failed to find a master local user.

sometimes it freezes on the bethesda logo loading screen and it doesn't get pass the start button screen

Found a solution to this. Check your game capture/replay software. In my case this was caused by Medal, which had no issues working with DOOM for the vast majority of my playthrough, so I suppose an app/Windows update broke something. Closing the app solves it.

There's no Steam sided "link" to remove. When you login to a 3rd party site through those steam login buttons all they get is a unique identifier from your account. To "unlink" your steam account from a site would simply mean that the site deleted this identifier it received.

To unlink your Steam account from Bethesda, sign into your Bethesda.net account and go to "Linked Accounts" under your account settings. From here, select the trash icon on the service you would like to unlink - Steam, Twitch, and so on.
