That's another thing I rarely used, I don't really use the Meathook except for in he Khan Maykr fight, and where I'm forced to in the DLC. I play quite horizontally, I guess it comes from having played tens of thousands of hours of classic Doom since 1993.

I used meathook a lot for verticality and to keep off the ground, staying stationary at all in DE really kinda screws you, so any and all mobility tools are insanely good

yeah that's fair, there's a lott to dig into with player discovered tech and such (way more than most people know about), which is partly why i really like eternal

that's totally fair, I can see the appeal to it. I just don't have the time to learn all that stuff unfortunately, nor the time to practice it

I set out to learn like 2, and that was all I could handle in terms of sitting down to specifically learn tech. If I can't get it relatively consistently with a few hours I would rather do something else, because I just don't have much time to game anymore. Probably why TDA was so fun for me, because the concepts are concrete, and you can be very successful in the game just utilizing what is handed to you without learning auxillary components
