@hard thistle Wanted to ping on a thought I had that I don't know if you've considered yet about the recurrence of the They Are Rage speech in Dark Ages.

I believe that that speech are words that King Novik says to help begin the resurrection ritual of the Slayer before he then goes off to help with the fight. To be clear I don't think the ritual is what brought him to life in hell. That's clearly because of his nature. But I do think those words began the ritual that the sentinels perform. Considering the carved symbol on the inside of the cursed sarcophagus, and how prominent the symbol is in the ritual, and that statement occurring prior to the Slayer waking as an undead in hell, I honestly think it's possible that's the true context of those words. And I do think that still lines up with the idea that he thinks back to those words as motivation.

Also makes me think we might hear Novik's words from the beginning and end of Eternal's campaign in the DLC at some point.

I feel that. I play on controller and Eternal really pushed my hands to their breaking point to get it to where I could play it like SMVR on YouTube plus battlemode really made me squeeze out everything I could with eternal aside from mods but I don’t have a PC. I really enjoy Dark Ages more streamlined approach and control scheme. Have all the weapons bound with some extra buttons left over. I know it sounds weird, but I actually feel like Dark Ages is more consistently challenging due to the sliders and how much harder it is to restack health and armor overall. In Eternal, once you really hit the flow state, you’re basically unkillable even on nightmare
